Kora looked up after hearing Ryse’s voice directed at her. She had to think before replying.
“Yeah, I’m totally fine!” She cringed at her own words but continued, “Besides, I don’t want to be a Debby Downer TIBIA honest.” She groaned and whispered loudly, “I’ve been around Sans way too long.”

Sans was hiding behind a corner, listening to their conversation. He was a bout to confront the kid who called Paps a monster when he heard Undyne, then he hid. Undyne had sounded ticked, and he didn't want it get in her way. He mentally cringed at Undyne's tone. She sounded like a mom. But, he felt appreciative of her encouragements. Then Paps started crying, and he decided to reveal himself.
"Hey Paps!" He said, "I've been looking for you where have ya been?" He stopped in his tracks when he heard what Papyrus said next. Paps... having an evil soul?? That wasn't even close to possible! He looked to Undyne, since he had no idea what to say.

Papyrus sure was adamant about everyone being a good person. Undyne had known him so long, she knew there was no changing his mindset. He was gonna see the good inside everyone's soul, whether it existed or not.
"Even if every punk is good, not everyone's gonna freakin' LIKE each other! It's just life-"
She was taken aback when her friend suddenly started having a breakdown, sobbing his eyes- eyesockets?- out. Undyne was definitely not good with this stuff. She could feel her friend's heart beating though. As if their hearts were beating as one. Undyne could pretty much feel his heartache, and boy did it hurt.
"Uh..." She looked off to the side, really not sure what to say. Emotional comforting stuff was WAY out of her comfort zone.
"NGGGAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" She shouted all of a sudden, tackling her friend in an aggressive and tight hug. "Papyrus! What the heck did that come from!! You are the freakin definition of a good person, and you're always telling people you believe in them. So believe in your freakin' SELF, you little nerd!!!"
"... Uh... you know we got your back, right Papyrus?" Undyne said, calming down a bit after that outburst. "We're your friends, you little skinny dork. You're like my brother- and I don't even HAVE a brother!!"

Papyrus gave her a big bear hug. "YOU ARE RIGHT!" He became DETERMINED. "Though.. I do think everyone is good..and i will never stop thinking that..everyone has a little good inside..I know it. Look at me! If my brother didnt believe that i was good enough i would've been...well sad. And you! If me and the others didnt believe that you were strong you would think you were weak.. Everyone has a light shining inside..but they need to find that light.. And I, the great papyrus will be willing to help!!" He said, smiling.

Seeing as Undyne had this under control, he grinned widely. Paps was ok. That was all he cared about. Since neither monsters had noticed him yet, he decided to take his leave. Turning on one bony heel, he walked off in the other direction. He decided to try and find Kora.

Determination sure was contagious. Undyne felt it in her own heart too, like she could stand taller in her friend's presence. She smiled widely as she patted Papyrus on the back. Finally, the adorable dork was back to his sweet old self. It had been weird to see the normally cheerful guy upset, but this grin and confidence was what Undyne was used to.
"That's the spirit! That's the Great Papyrus I know!!" She hollered. "You sure know your stuff! And finding the good in people is what you do best, ya little punk."
She thought hard on what their next move should be. "Oh hey, did you talk with Sans yet? Go suplex- I mean see your brother!"

"Ill..talk to him later." He spoke, looking around. He had the hint of disbelief in his voice and it was obvious. "Well...no...not...everyone..heh...not everyone is good heh.." His SOUL was hurting. He rubbed his head. "Nyeh.."

Ryse watched Kora with an uneasy expression. She sat there for a moment, silent, before she groaned and put a hand to her forehead. "Was that a pun?" She wore a playful expression now and snapped her fiery fingers. "I wish I could tell you I don't have the GUTS for this, but I didn't wanna FIBULA. That really tickled my FUNNY BONE." Ryse choked back a laugh and gazed at Kora to determine her reaction.
Inside, Ryse felt like she was going to die of laughter, but kept on a straight face. If Kora made puns, she must find them funny deep down inside. But is her friend laughed...Ryse didn't know how long she could contain herself from punning her to death.

Kora busted out laughing. She couldn’t believe it! She liked skeleton puns!! She laughed until she cried and couldn’t breathe. She mentally noted the puns and reminded herself to use them on Sans later.
“That was awesome!!,” she gasped for breath.

Wow that actually worked! Ryse made sure to remember to use puns on Kora if ever the need came up. She suddenly chuckled under her breath a little and plastered on a cheesy smile. "Here I was think nothing could GET UNDER YOUR SKIN." Ryse's smile formed into a grin and the flames closest to her body turned several deep shades of blue and purple.
"I guess I'm pretty HUMERUS then." Ryse didn't even notice the change in her flames, even as they dulled to a decently warm temperature instead of the intense heat they had been before.
