A Day in the Life of a Rocket (Open & Accepting)

Mary blinked in surprise when her superior dismissed her. 'Did she just read her mind?' she thought, as she hesitantly nodded and walked off to her work station. Candy was still out of her poke-ball from earlier, but stayed obediently at her desk. When Mary got there, Candy was wagging her tail like crazy, happy to see her trainer. When she approached her desk, Candy jumped into her arms and nuzzled in, before looking up at her with adorable, beady eyes. "I'm gonna have to put you back, little girl." She cooed, nuzzling the Pokemon before putting her back in her poke-ball. Mary sighed when she thought about the work she was going to do, but she was slowing approaching the fun part of the project. She just had to run a few more tests and create a few more candies before she could get ready to test them on a Pokemon. She sat down on her desk, taking out her notes from earlier and continued working on the Rare Candy project.

Caelan walked over to Marilyn and put a comforting hand on her shoulder and said, "I think you might work a bit better if you keep her out of her Poke Ball. Sometimes it's the small things that matter most. Spend as much time as you can with the people and Pokemon you love. You never know when all that time you have with them disappears." before walking out of the room, holding back tears.

Sarah sighed and said, "The poor kid... he lost his parents, and his first Pokemon in the war. The Johtonians burnt down Vermilion City... Caelan lived there. His parents... and his poor Nidoran... they didn't deserve to die, not like that."

Marilyn - 19 - Researcher - Tags; Caelan-ish

Marilyn blinked in surprise when she felt someone touch her shoulder, and she looked up to see Caelan towering over her. When he said that, she saw tears forming in his eyes and quickly became concerned. When she left, she hear Sarah mention some of his past. Sadness overwhelmed her, and she heeded his request. She took out Candy, and Navy (Purrloin). She reminded them to behave calmly and went back to work, every once in awhile petting one of them. Candy seemed oblivious and happy, while Navy just sat there brooding to himself. Mary only had to finish one more candy and she would be done with the creating part of the project.

(ill just say for the time I was gone Sully was in the training center with his pokemon for a bit if that's ok and say he now looking around for something else to do, anyone open to talk with him or maybe go on the next rocket mission?)

Petrel walked over to Sully while he was in training room and said, "Hey Sully, I've got a mission for you. I'd send Caelan with you, but he's got a bit of a grudge against the guy you'll be in contact with. You'll be delivering some high grade vitamins to Lt. Surge." he chuckled lightly and said, "It's not actually as surprising as you think. Surge was a lieutenant back in the war, it's no surprise he supports Team Rocket. Like I said, Caelan's got a bit of a grudge against Surge. He's from Vermillion, he lived there when the Johtonians burned the city down. He blames Surge for the damage since he wasn't there when it happened, and in Caelan's mind, he wasn't able to protect his hometown. I feel for the kid, his parents and his Nidoran... they didn't deserve to die like that." he looked over his shoulder to make sure nobody was there and said, "Listen, don't tell anybody about this. Caelan's actually the boss's nephew. I wouldn't say he's got a soft spot for the kid, but he worries about him at times. You didn't hear it from me though. Go get the vitamins from Sarah's lab."

Sully sparked a bit with surprise. He never knew Surge teamed up with Rocket, but that soon went away as he began to realize how obviouse it was and he should have known. He also felt a pang of sympathy for Caelan, he never knew about this dark side of his story. He quickly returned his pokemon to their balls, he can train them some more later. "I'll get to work on it right away." Sully said with a quick respectful nod of his head. He then hurried out of the training room. He headed back tword the lab looking for Sarah. Once he spotted he said hoping he was not interupting anything "Hey Sarah, Petrel asked me to get some vitamins from you for my next mission"

Sarah looked up from her work and said, "Oh! I didn't realize Petrel was sending you on this deal. I've got them right here. Hope it goes well. Surge is a bit intimidating, and Proton's a bit of a downer, but he's easy to work with. I have a feeling getting the vitamins to Surge will be easy, getting the smuggled Pokemon from wherever Surge left them... not as easy... I respect Surge, but the strangest thing is how a man who's seven feet tall manages to pilot a fighter jet."

Marilyn - 19 - Researcher - Tags; Open

Marilyn finished up the last candy and did a small victory dance with her Pokemon, though Navy just rolled his eyes and looked away embarrassed. Now all she needed is some test subjects so she could test the candies. The reason the project took forever was the main fact that not only did she create one candy for each formula, but three, the last two being back-ups just in case. Also the fact that along the way her brain kept making up formulas that she had to test out. Mary wanted to make sure that her first project is a success, so she worked extra hard to prove that she just wasn't some street rat that Team Rocket picked up along the way to Kanto's revolution. She cleared her desk and put the candies in a safe place, and got up to talk to Sarah. When she saw that she was talking to someone, she stood a polite distance away, waiting patiently.

Sully gladly took the vitamins and nodded in agreement. "Hes a pretty strange dude. But if someone called him out on that they would probably die just from his scary glare. Probably best to not ask him." He said with a quick laugh. "I'll make sure to get these to him and find out where he left those smuggled mons." He noticed Mariyn was waiting to talk with Shara so he said a quick goodbye and left the lab. He began to realize he had already done a lot today, what time even was it by now? It was most likley getting late by now. So he debated in his head if he should wait and get some rest or head out in the dark since it will be easyer. He decided not to waste time and headed out.
