Ryse watched her new classmates begin to finish their work and frowned down at her desk. More specifically, she frowned at the worksheet on her desk before she looked back up and fixed her gaze on a tall skeleton. Wait. Ryse had to do a double take and realized that there were multiple tall skeletons with roughly the same build and appearance. The phoenix monster shook her head, her flames flickering and crackling a little as she did so and turned back to her work. She didn't want to do it. She REALLY didn't want to do it. Images of her foster parents with their telltale angry faces one forced a shiver down Ryse's spine and she quickly got to work.

She finished and, hearing Papy, leaned around Sans to look over his paper. It was all wing ding, but she could read it no problem. Which should mean the teacher could too. "You did great!" She whispered. Sans nodded.
Kora looked around to see most other people were finished. She almost fell out of her seat when she saw a Phoenix monster she hasn't noticed before. She was mesmerized by her flames for a while, before turning back to Sans, who had fallen asleep. Worried that he would get yelled at, or worse, she prodded him in the skull until he woke up.

"Sans i need to go to the nurse.." He soon admitted, looking down. He didnt wanna be considered weak..but he was truly in pain..

He nodded and, after getting permission from the teacher, got up and extended his hand for his bro to take.

Ryse finished the assignment just as one of the tall skeleton monsters said something that sounded like going to the nurse, to a shorter skeleton. A small sigh escaped her mouth and she quickly looked away. 'The nurse? Wonder what could've happened' Ryse didn't truly care enough to ask the tall skeleton and went back to drawing the phoenix. It wasn't that inspirational considering Ryse herself was a phoenix monster, but she still liked it. The sketch depicted a flaming phoenix rising from ashes as a battle raged on behind it. It wasn't very good in Ryse's opinion so she huffed and pushed it away.

Papyrus let out a soft whine, rubbing his head. "I might just loose my head...." He said, trembling. He took his brothers hand and stood, almost falling. "nyeh..." He whispered.

He pulled Papyrus up and lead him out of the room, Sans shutting the door softly behind him. He led Papy to where the nurse's office was and told him he'd wait outside.

After a bit, papyrus walked out with a bandaid or two on his cuts and a candy cane. "Nyeh heh heh.." He said, putting the candy cane in his mouth.

he propped his head up on one hand. Bored, EP closed his eyes, doing his best not to doze off. He sort of failed. His head slipped off his hand, smacking into the desk, waking him up pretty fast. He rubbed his forehead, hoping no one saw that.

Ryse suddenly didn't know what to do. She'd done the work with little trouble and so far, the only interesting thing to happen was some guy's tripe to the nurse and someone else falling asleep. "To think I even agreed to this." Ryse knew she hadn't really agreed, but put that whole conversation with herself aside for now. This wasn't the time to talk to herself. She'd get sent off somewhere and her foster parents would be called. She'd end up sent back 'home', and even more miserable.
Ryse tapped her pencil on the desk a few times before letting her flames burn a small hole in the side. She needed to stop feeling sorry for herself and figure out out to escape. Or at least how to make this existence tolerable.
