Background || Roseheart was born to the notorious tyrannous monarch, Waspstar, and his much gentler mate, Tawnywing. He was declared the strongest son over his brother, Tigerkit. He was raised by his biological mother and trained by his father, Waspstar. Yet as the heir, who often visited the commoners with the help of the guards, he could tell most of the cats of Ivyclan were disgruntled with Waspstar's harshness. From that moment on, he made a silent oath to be more lenient when he became the next monarch, yet went along with his father's training. As he got older, Waspstar got sick and frail, and eventually passed. Tawnywing stepped down and became an elder, and Roseheart stepped up to the monarch's position, receiving the name Rosestar. He can tell that the clan isn't too trusting of him yet, and he seems to be understanding of that.

Background || Ever since she was a kit, Doveflight hasn't had many friends. Most cats are scared of her and her volatile nature, understandably. Some thought with her moodiness, that she may make a great fighter one day, and she thought so too. She started out as a regular apprentice, aiming to become a fighter in her future, but it was quickly discovered that she wasn't particularly skilled in anything her teacher was teaching her. It was around that time she started having odd dreams, and at the same time, the clan's teller, Patchleaf, woke up to find a dozen dove feathers in his den. He interpreted this as an omen, that the struggling apprentice, Dovepaw, should be his apprentice. Indeed that happened, Dovepaw switched from a regular apprentice to a teller's apprentice, and it all felt right to her. She's been the teller for quite some time now, after Patchleaf passed away when she was around twenty-eight moons. She was actually notorious for getting into arguments with Waspstar, being one of the few cats that the tom-cat actually had some fear of.

However, his father treated him coldly, as if he didn't exist. Tawnywing was kind toward Tigerstep, but awkward, as she never got to know him as a kit. However, he quickly formed a strong bond with his brother, Roseheart, now Rosestar. He's eager to see if his brother'll change the clan's mentality toward the monarchy, but is concerned about Thornclan's existence.

Background || Junipertail was born out of a forbidden romance between a hunter, Riverfur, and a rogue named Spider. Waspstar very hesitantly allowed Riverfur to stay in the clan until her kits were old enough to be without their mother, only because his mate, Tawnywing, convinced him to do so. Once Riverfur's kits reached two moons of age, their care was handed over to the nanny, and Riverfur was exiled. Waspstar made it clear he wasn't fond of kits born out of forbidden romances, because when Junipertail was an apprentice, her mentor was incredibly harsh, especially because she wasn't a "full-blooded clan cat." Her mentor went far enough to encourage other apprentices to bully her, to which some complied. Yet, she remained strong, stone-faced. She used this cruelty as inspiration- to become a teacher herself, and to be a kind one at that. Here she stands proudly today, as a teacher, and hopeful for the future with Waspstar's passing.

Background || Tawnywing was born to a guard, Ospreytalon, and a teacher, Briarface. She had a brother named Barleykit, but when they were three moons of age, Barleykit was taken away by an owl when she and him snuck out to go explore. Watching her younger brother get taken away really traumatized her, and she remained pretty skittish up until toward the end of her apprenticeship. While she was pretty good at hunting, the older cats noticed that she had a knack for helping settle arguments between her fellow apprentices. This is what lead for her to become a diplomat, and when she became a diplomat, she caught the eye of the recently-made monarch, Waspstar, formerly Waspfang, whose father had tragically died early of illness. Surely enough, the teller, Patchleaf, arranged them to be mates. They were a lovely couple, and they did adore each other quite a bit. However, as Waspstar aged, Tawnywing noticed he grew a temper, and became very harsh with his punishments.

She still loved him, but feared for the stability of her dear clan. While not directly opposing her mate, she often tried to convince him to loosen up with the punishments. Sometimes he listened, other times he didn't. Amidst the beginning of this chaos, Tawnywing discovered she was pregnant, and later gave birth to two tom kits, Rosekit and Tigerkit. Rosekit was announced the heir, and Tigerkit was taken away from her, to be taken care of by the nanny. It was hard on her, not to be able to raise one of her kits, and frequently asked the Royal Advisor to update her on Tigerkit. As she raised Rosekit, Waspstar's temper only got worse and worse, but he was also become quite weak fairly prematurely. Recently, he grew too weak and passed. She can only hope that her son, Rosestar, will provide some relief for Ivyclan after a troublesome period. She was more than happy to become an elder, now enjoying the freedom to communicate with whomever she pleases, except for her own son and his mate.

Background || Ember was born in Ivyclan, her kithood starting out as average, and her apprenticeship was normal as well. When she was promoted to her full rank, however, is when things get interested. As a full-fledged fighter, she started feeling the effects of Waspstar's tyranny. Being the rebellious young cat she was, she began complaining loudly. Many tried to silence her, but all failed, and news of this spread to Waspstar. One morning, two guards grabbed her and dragged her to the monarch's den. He said that her punishment for saying such "traitorous" things would be to fight a young fox that was causing troubles in the forest by herself. If she failed, she'd be exiled. She was a young, inexperienced fighter at this time, only eighteen moons. She attempted to fight the fox, losing most of her tail in the process, and she gave up, escaping further into the forest. She stumbled across a small group of fellow exiled cats living in an abandoned cabin, lead by the very first cat Waspstar exiled, named Cedar (formerly Cedarflame.) They called themselves Thornclan.

She became a follower, and later on, when the second-in-command of the time, Wren (formerly Wrenfrost) was killed in a scuffle with a Ivyclan patrol, she was promoted to the second-in-command position. Cedar was quite old, and it was no surprise that he passed just a few moons after Ember became the second-in-command. As Cedar was dying, he whispered to Ember to overthrow Ivyclan's monarchy. She promised him she'd do just that. Now, as the leader of Thornclan, she's dead-set on fulfilling her promise.
