(100 word max.) Explanation: Adin is like a clock. Time slowly running out before he is shattered. The broken glass is supposed to show when he finally breaks, it's almost as if time has stopped for him, something inside him breaking and shutting down, all of the sand pouring out, which is supposed to relate to his feelings, all of them pouring out from him. He had always been quite reserved and fragile/delicate. As reserved as he is, he has always been kind and quite smart, though he hides the real him, in fear the glass known as his feelings will soon shatter.

Explanation: Casus is daring and his boldness truly shines through the crowds; he is outspoken and carries a sense of humility- while also seeking adventure and discovery. He loves the sea as it gives him a true sense of ‘freedom’ and likes to ride out at night to watch the plankton and jellyfish. Eventually the young Kalon leaves home to travel the seas- swept up by a band of comically bad (and somewhat misfit) pirates who do more good than harm. Casus is a navigator for the group, who spends most of their time sailing the seas and clowning around.
