ophelia's fingertips trailed across the flowered path that dipped low towards the entrance of a large cave. she'd discovered it that morning, and immediately fallen in love - now, her curly mane was littered with daisies, her smile soft and dimple-y. the dryad skipped into the cave, pausing to gently brush a fingertip against a glowing flower that bloomed from the cave's wall before continuing her downward trek. yes. this would be perfect, she decided, a smile brightening her expression.

"I am near to the aura that comes from this area." a small voice muttered from the forest. "It is getting stronger." Cedric slowed his footsteps to make sure the magical being wasn't scared away. The muttering stopped, and the forest went deathly silent. All Cedric could hear was his own rapid heart beats as he fought the urge to burst out in front of the creature. Suddenly someone emerged from the bushes, trying to run quickly. Without thinking, Cedric threw an apple at the intruder. He quickly regretted his choice. Now the only food he had to save was the melon he had lugged back to the old shed. "Who goes there?" A voice, trying to be menacing, burst from the cloaked intruder. "Uh... Who are you?" he asked in reply. The intruder turned towards him with an aggressive flare. "Ah. An elf." they continued. "What are you doing here... Witch?" Cedric guessed. At once the intruder pulled their hood down lower , but a gust of wind blew their hood away. With a sigh the witch scrabbled for their hood but the wind refused. "That is rather offensive as your tone suggests." Cedric thought for words. "Okay." he blurted out. Curiously, the intruder flicked her hair out of her eyes to fix him with a glare. "Sorry?" he continued. "I will take that as an apology then." she added at last. "I am not here to cause trouble. I only came as it appears that a strong magical energy is radiating from this place." Cedric nodded in understanding. "You wanted to see the lake then?" The witch nodded, a smile finally crossing her face. "I'm Swallowtail. Susan Swallowtail. I'll stay here as I investigate." Cedric nodded.
