Often the trade get automatically canceled because they gave the pet you requested to someone else first. In this case the trade message will explain that and most will allow you to try again.

If the trade is manually canceled reread their adoption topic, or ask them what went wrong.

i read the part about Oekaki, but im still not sure about this, how to i post artwork on to someone else's forum? like if someone were to do art for a contest, then is there a way to post it through forums? i never could figure it out! thanks!

Pretty stupid question but, If someone wants my pet that is dressed up, and I accept the trade, will they get this pet with items or without them?

Without items.
The items will be moved back into your inventory so that you can use
them to dress up another pet :)
