"She's back everyone," Emily said happily, putting her arm around Janai's shoulders. "Do you mind if I hold Hazzel so she doesn't get squished in your inevitable hugs? Hazzel, can I hold you?" Emily asked, holding her arms out.

Janai handed hazzel to Emily and hugged everyone. Spencer didn’t know how to feel about Janai being gone and coming back.. even more coming back with a kid. He stood away watching them.

Emily noticed Spencer standing off to the side and walked over, "You ok spencer? Is something wrong?" Emily bounced Hazzel gently on her hip.

Spencer looked at Emily “how could Janai just leave us and come back.. it isn’t right.. she left to have a kid.. never bothered to call, text or message us at all.. “he muttered out

Emily put her hand on Spencer's shoulder, "She's not hers, some lady was going to abandon her in the street. And she couldn't call, she dumped her phone in a bin. Remember? I had it."

“B..but she could have called by another mobile or even a pay phone..” he muttered at Emily “remember Spence Janai can’t remember phone numbers easily.. she could have forgotten our numbers” Garcia spoke softly as she watched Janai go to the kitchen with Morgan to get a coffee

Emily smiled and rubbed Spencer's shoulder gently, "Garcia's right, I was angry too, and I have a lot of questions for her. It'll be awhile before she returns to the field though, and I might use some of my sick days to get them settled in to the house."

Spencer nodded and sighed gently.

Janai walked to Emily unsure what they were talking about “ready to head home.. hazzel is probably tired” she spoke gently looking at her child.

Emily smiled, "Me too, I still have that mattress in the other room, I can put some blankets on it for tonight, and tomorrow we'll go shopping. Does that sound good?"

Janai nodded “yea that’s fine” she spoke gently and went to the car with hazzel now in her arms
