What breeds are most common where you live?

-Chihuahua or Chihuahua mixes
-American Pit Bull Terriers or mixes
-American Staffordshire Terrier or mixes
-Labradors
-Pug or mixes
-Australian Shepherds or mixes

basically a lot of mixes i’ve only came across two pure APBTs, one AST, and one Yellow Lab.

What are your top three favorite breeds?

1) Border Collie
2) Borzoi
3) Malinois

Easy! I’m lucky to currently work with 2/3 of them. Maybe I’ll get my Malinois one day haha

The most common dogs around here are Labs, goldens, and Pit Mixes. Most pet owners have them, and you find almost exclusively Pit Mixes in shelters.

since this is the new thread and I haven’t posted in a while, I’ve decided to show off my baby again!
we still have penny (a papillon mix we rescued who is five (!!!) years old and is still very much a diva

and then there is new addition charlie! he is six months old and we adopted him from my sister who was fostering him. he is a miniature pinscher, possibly mixed with something else. he’s a cutie either way :)

What are your top three favorite breeds?
    - Border Collie
    - Australian Shepherd (Original - no mini)
    - **Irish Setter

**Technically I want an Irish red and white setter, but I put plain Irish setter because people are probably more familiar with them. And Irish (Red & White) setters are as the names says. An Irish setter who's red... and white. They look like Irish Setters as far as I know, they're just white.

Little history lesson: no this isn't a thing like with merle dachshunds where people in this recent time took dachshunds and bred them to be merle. Irish setters were actually originally solid red, and red & white. It was through selective breeding that they got that rich dark mahogany coat we see today, and as a result nearly lost the red and white variant. People brought them back though, but they're considered as a separate breed to the Irish setter.

i dont get why merle is called dapple in dachshunds. also didn't know that about that fun fact rebellious. also, i guess that's also why only dapples have blue eyes and "hidden" dapples. don't really care for regular dapples, i'm a sucker for dapple piebalds with the full neck and white paws. <3 and the cream doxies are so expensive...T.T

@RebelliousWinter, I adore Irish Setters. Over here in Ireland, they’re Setter Irish and Setter Irish Red and White, at least that’s what the IKC calls them. You actually don’t see a lot of them here. My relative has one called Rua, and I’ve seen one or two at shows, but apart from that. Rua’s a beauty though, I see him quite often and he’s such a quirky dog. If he likes you, he’ll put his giant paw on your head, which is adorable, but also very heavy lol. I’ve lots of photographs of him, I’ll have to post some!

What are your top three favorite breeds?
Bichon Frisè’s,
Samoyed’s,
And probably Red Setters.

What breeds are most common where you live?
Collies,
Jack Russell’s,
Retrievers.
You see all three on such a regular basis, and it’s really made me less fond of the breeds, especially collies.
