"Yeah", The girl sighed. A few minutes passed, and Rin looked down at her feet. She bit her lip and winced. "Hey Ryu?", Rin began, then stopped short. "Uh, well, I don't know. I--You--", she sighed. "Oh god, this is going to sound really stupid, but... uh...",

Ryu ruffled his feathers a bit when he figured Rin was going to say something about him. Either it was a complitment or insult, he hated talking about himself. Period. His onyx eyes glanced over his shoulder to watch Rin as she tumbled over her own words. "The stupidest thing I have ever heard was when Lilium told me that a turtle had the second largest brain on earth. So whatever you're trying to say can't be much worse than that." He replied and hopefully it was enough to get Rin to calm her words. He bit his lip from being nervous on what she wanted to say, was he a bad person or did he do something wrong? He wanted to know but then he didn't want to hear it at the same time. Ryu decided to hold his tounge and listen.

(XD I always say indecision is the WORST thing, and unfortunately, that happens to me all the time!!Ah, well, might as well make things interesting! XD))

Rin burst out in a nervous laughter "Oh jeez Lilium," She chortled. Rin blushed, and took a deep breath. " Well, uh, I REALLY like you... And I don't know how to tell you...", she said blushing madly, the crimson color spreading completely. "Did I say that out loud?", She asked him, eyes wide.

((Ah well, after all that beating around the bush! It came out by a slip of the tongue...XDDD))

Ryu blinked when Rin finally answered and the first ting that crossed his mind was, why? He wasn't the nicest person in the world but yet he wasn't cruel. Surely she was mistaken, she ahd to be. With all of these rush of thoughts flooding his mind, he felt the sides of his face grow warm and he quickly looked away and his dark hair shifted like a natural curtain to his distress. Covering the left side of his face mostly and his bangs giving his eyes a dark appearance. "Are we talking about friendship or something a little bit more?" He asked lightly and hid all emotion from his voice and tried to sound clear as possible. His wings tensed behind him but somewhere in the back of his mind, he was glad. Not jumping for joy glad but the warmth that brushed his cold self. It felt nice and relaxing but not enough for it to show through just yet. "But if you're lying, please let me know now before I jump to conclusions." Ryu had enough experience with lies and wondered if Rin was trying to comfort him by telling him this. Her blush gave him a sign that she wasn't but he hated taking chances. His dark eyes looked at Rin again when the warmth of his cheeks vanished for a moment. Slightly anxious for her answer as he ruffled his feathers a bit again.

"I REALLYREALLY like you! A ton... ," Rin burst out. Though I'm sure the feelings not mutual... She thought sadly. Rin looked up in surprise at his tone. Angryish? Annoyed? Weirder out? Sickened? Or just surprise? "I am sorry". She said quietly, and began to walk away.


((Sigh, sorry, I bet I am just doing that same stuff over and over!! X3 me likes the smiley!))

Ryu bit his lip at Rin's outburst. He wasn't really sure how to reply. It's not like people walk up to you everyday and confess their feelings. At least not for Ryu but he still couldn't understand why Rin would see him that way. Though he got the idea that she was talking about more than just a friendship, which confused him even more. He flinched a bit when he tasted blood in his mouth and realized he bit his lip a little too hard. After that, he came back to his senses and caught up to Rin easily by lifting his hand to gently grasp her upper arm and pull her into a stop with a soft tug. "Wait," He said lightly and swalled a knot that formed in his throat. "Why though?" He finally asked and wanted to bit onto his lip again but it was now slightly tender. "Why me of all people?"

Rin's eyes widened when he easily caught up with her. And flinched slighty as he grabbed her hand, his warm and strong. She smiled slightly, and turned. "I love you, because your you. I love your personality. You are amazingly sarcastic, something I need to work on...," Rin giggled and continued," You're really kind, even though you just brush off the act. You are strong, and distant, and you pretty much make me go crazy, with the schizophrenic voices and all," Rin smiled," You are an amazing flier, and of course a bird-kid, and believe it or not," she laughed and stared up at him," You are quite the charmer! You are beautiful on the inside out. And best of all, you make me smile. I smile so much now because of you. You are the reason I am alive, and unfortunately that's more literal than it sounds...", Rin muttered the last part, and finished her speech, a ghost of a smile playing on her lips.

(( i feel soooo horrible for not keeping up..... but i'm promising myself to get better with the RPs. anywho, i'm just going to jump in even though i have no clue where we left off. xP ))

She had been sitting high up in the tree for a while. Either no one could find her, or no one cared to. Whichever it was though, didn't matter. She chomped on an apple she had picked, but had to face the facts that there was really no 'meat' left on it. She looked around and picked a target, and chucked the apple towards it. After that, she laid back against the tree trunk, somehow enjoying this bit of her life.
