Arkady woke up and saw a dark figure above her. On instinct, she slashed out at him with her claws, lightly grazing the person's chest. It wasn't until her eyes adjusted and she saw Hawthorne that the claws were gone. "Hawthorne, I-" She shook her head and looked up at his with wide eyes. "I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry. Arkady finally tore her eyes away from him and looked around the room. The windows were open and her bed was a mess and there were even tears in the sheets. No, no, no, no. She had let her dreams take control of her and she hated it. Her shaking slowly came to a stop but she couldn't look up at the red blooming on Hawthorne's chest.

Hawthorne flinched, stepping back quickly as Arkady lashed at his chest. He let out a surprised curse as he looked down at his grey tee. There was a dark red spot forming on his shirt. Though, thankfully the wound wasn't too deep. " Nah, it's okay," he insisted. Hawthorne looked at her, concerned," Are you okay? What happened?". He surveyed the damage to the room but he wasn't worried about that. The sheets and things could easily be replaced. The captain was only worried about if Arkady was alright. Hawthorne gently put his strong hand on her shoulder, trying to comfort her.

Arkady balled up her hands, trying to ease the pain where her claws had shot out so suddenly. "But you're bleeding..."She went to go try and see the cut but she quickly retracted her hand seeing as she was the one who did it. Arkady seemed to be avoiding the question on whether or not she was alright, but after hesitating she nodded. She didn't know what the exact answer was just yet. Arkady was still in shock and felt as if the walls were still closing in on her. She pulled her legs up to her chest and looked anywhere but at Hawthorne.

Hawthorne frowned, not sure if he believed her. " Arkady? Please... just look at me?" He said, sincerely," I'm alright. Believe me, its just a small cut. And you didn't mean to hurt me. I know you didn't. " He said, trusting her. Hawthorne cracked a small smiled," Don't worry, I've shed much more blood on the battlefield than this." He gently took her hand in his," Let me see your hands." Hawthorne said, worried that she had injured herself accidentally.

Leonardo | River

Leo glanced up worriedly at the night sky. His vision was terrible in the darkness so he'd have to rely on his sense of smell to navigate for now. Ears flicking nervously, he dipped a cupped hand into the river and brought up water to his mouth. The water was definitely refreshing as was the cool air that came with nighttime. Shifting into his human form, he traced his hands lightly over his burns and relied on what light there was that came from the Moon in order to see the damage done. "You'll have to lead the way back to camp" he said, looking up towards Aurora,"I may know this forest very well but I still end up running into trees during the Night" He smirked to himself, trying to ease the fear and panic that were only heightened by his animal instincts. He ran his fingers through his hair, shaking out the dirt and soot that may have still been there while thinking about what they were to do about the fire. If they could do anything at all that is. Moving the camp would be the wisest choice but that might possibly bring them far too close to the Humans or the Quell...His attention snapped to Juniper when he spoke and he offered a soft smile. "I'll be fine. I just wish I had been able to get to you guys faster" he said, regretting that he'd taken his time to get back to thier territory after walking the human, Josie, home.

Alex peers through the window of her chambers, looking up at the 'night' sky. A sigh slips from her lips as she closes her eyes, leaning against the windowsill as she wonders what it would be like on the surface. She knew the stories, she knew that her people used to live up there and she knew why they couldn't, but it made no difference. She still wondered and dreamed about those above them. She shivered at the thought of Howlers and attempted to turn her mind to better thoughts. A smile curved her lips as she looked back out the window, this time looking down. She could do with a night-time walk...
With care, Alex opened the window, using her Telekinesis to do it, and climbed out onto the wall. Being cautious of looking down, she slowly made her way to the ground. A grin blazed on her face as her feet touched solid ground and a laugh trickled from her throat.

Arkady slowly unclenched her hands and blood lightly trickled down her fingers from where her nails were. It was rare when she got hurt from her wolf form, but it was possible. The Quell and Howler in her contradicted each other, both trying to be more powerful than the other. The two sides hadn't been created to be combined, and when they were the lashed out at each other. The scent of blood was strong in the room, and a mix of both her's and Hawthorne's. "You should have just let the nightmare past." Arkady didn't like not being able to handle her own problems and the fact that he had seen her like that only made it worse. She wasn't going to be judged as weak, and had been making sure of that for her whole life. She sat up a bit and put back on her mask of stone, her mind winning out over her heart.

Aurora nodded and shifted back into her snow leopard form. Her pelt shimmered under the moon and she looked up at the beautiful sky. The stars were barely visible since the smoke now filled the sky. "We need to warn camp if they don't already know." Her concern for her family was consuming her mind and she pushed the thoughts away. Focus on your family here and getting back to everyone before you let your mind run free. "Be on alert everyone. The humans could have seen the flames and smoke and be coming to investigate. It's important we are careful." She turned to look at Juniper and frowned. "Can you walk or do you need me to help you?" Aurora's voice was soft as she spoke.

Alexandria walks through a couple of streets before heading in the direction of the waterfall. She slows as the gurgle of water turns into the sound of voices. A frown tugs at the corners of her mouth as she creeps closer to the edge of the ground around the waterfall. Carefully peering out, she relaxes at the sight of her siblings. She steps out into plain view, a smile already on her lips as she walks towards them.

Although no one openly discussed it, Spencer knew she was different from the Quell and it was only after over eavesdropping on an argument between Donnie and his mother that she'd found out she was what was called A Mix. She'd been awfully confused but after poking around Dons notebooks filled with info he'd copied from library books, she got a better understanding as to what A Mix was.
As Don argued with the Royals, she'd been gazing up at the sky. As it darkened, the fire lit up the sky and she bit her lip as she thought about the danger the Howlers might be in. No they weren't her family much less did they raise her but she was still part Howler.
"Donnie" she said, lowering her backpack back onto the ground, "We can't just leave them. I don't want to leave them" Spencer was quick to speak again when Don was obviously about to try to convince her to forget about them. "Besides, this could work out well for that pet project of yours" she smirked at the dumbfounded face Don wore before he sighed heavily and dropped his backpack.

Bitter, Donnie glared up towards the smoke that clouded the sky and grumbled to himself. So Spencer was right. This could be beneficial for his plan he had but...how did Spencer even know about it and why did she want to help these animals? "Fine" he mumbled, his mind starting to work out a plan that'd actually work. He closed his eyes, visualizing a plan that could work.
Fire needed oxygen.....Earth was a good dampener for fires and could cut off the oxygen. Maybe, he and Basil could use their power to practically swallow the fire whole with dirt.
He grit his teeth at the idea. That'd be nearly impossible to do if the fire grew too big....maybe they could direct the fire towards water. Then the fire could be put out with both dirt and water...."Ugh. A Maroon Quell could come in handy right now" he muttered, his gaze turned to Soren and Basil but his attention trained on Alexandria. "It's a dang family reunion"
