erika looked down at hades before she looked at gold when he spoke, her eyes lighting up a little. "that's kinda cool.. i went to mt. silver when i was six. i almost froze up there—i think the doctors said i could have.. well, i don't really remember, honestly. i never tried to go there again." erika sighed, staring at him before putting her hands by her side. "speaking of really hard battles, i actually tried defeating kanto's champion. it wasn't easy at all. i thought the champion's pokemon would be lower leveled.." she chuckled a bit as she talked, looking down at her feet and brushing some of the dirt off of her uniform. yawning, erika looked down at her houndoom, who had let out a snort when she mentioned that battle. "see, even hades hated that battle. right, boy?" erika said, rubbing the pokemon's ears gently. she also disliked that battle—it was embarrassing knowing that you tried becoming the champion and you failed horribly. her eyes shifted back to gold again, before looking around. as she looked up, she could see what looked like.. a noivern flying in the sky? "gold. look up, it's a noivern." the girl spoke, still retaining her cold voice. you could have at least tried to sound excited. she thought to herself, growling under her breath at herself. erika had always wanted a noivern. she had read about them before somewhere, but she couldn't afford to go and take a trip to kalos to actually get one, as she was way too busy to be taking trips before she was picked to go on the journey. in fact, erika's parents had insisted that she stay home and help them with the house, and she had almost actually stayed until she realized this journey would help her cope with the disappearance of ichirou.

amaryllis froze when she heard a voice speak over the intercom, nodding her head as she returned her pokemon to their pokeballs. "sorry, guys. we can't make any crowns right now. walking slowly around the base, amaryllis sighed disappointedly. they had to come in the base because the champions and trainers were exploring the forest in groups of.. two? she couldn't remember the exact number they were said to be splitting up into, but two sounded right. amaryllis walked into the base, looking around curiously, before shaking her head. she knew she didn't truly belong here with all of the people on the team, and part of her had wanted to run off and find the trainers venturing through acrea. they were her one-way ticket out of this place, and she had to seize the moment. amaryllis knew deep down inside that she had to stay, though no matter how much she wanted to leave. if she did leave, however, she'd become an enemy of team clone, and would probably be hunted down constantly by the team.

vex carefully made it out of his cave and outside, looking back at his necklace and sighing. "i'm s-sorry, ophelia. and b-bucky." vex couldn't help but stutter with his words, sitting down slowly and putting a paw down on the ground sadly. he couldn't help but remember how beautiful ophelia was, and how kind bucky was. where were they? had they disappeared for good? vex shook his head as he continued to walk forward, past the tiny little pond besides his home, passing the giant tree, and eyeing the scrawny little tree he liked to claw (also known as the tiny tree to him). he went up to it, flexing his claws and scratching the tree as hard as possible. letting out a small grunt as he cautiously walked away from the tree, vex thought of how anxious he was to even be in this forest. sometimes he wondered why he didn't stay with team clone at times—perhaps they would help vex with his anxiety problems. he walked past the arceus statue with a number of claw marks on it, and continued onwards on his adventure. when he saw a noibat and a luxray, vex began to tense up at the sight. "p-please d-don't hurt m-me.." the mightyena barked nervously, pinning his ears to the back of his head, putting his tail between his legs.

polaris soared through the sky, a smile on his face as he felt the wind blow through his fur. "ah, it really feels good to fly again." this was one of the few times where he actually got to relax (that certainly wasn't a word he heard much). as he flew up in the air, polaris couldn't stop thinking about how wonderful it was outside. it was sunny, and he could feel the sun's rays shining down on his back. "gah. it's warm out today. i better restock my berry collection right now." the noivern sighed, shaking his head. he spotted the tree he lived near, and landed on the highest branch to see where his cave was. jumping down from the tree and running in his cave as soon as he saw it, he grabbed two of his handmade baskets for the berries he was about to pick. while polaris walked, he sighed again when he realized how tired he was, noticing how his body ached from the intense training he preformed everyday. he had to push himself all the time, though, or no trainer would want him. that was just his odd mindset, though. when polaris saw a little cubone walking through the forest, he called out to her from afar. "hey! are you looking for berries? i have baskets if you are!" the noivern waved one of the baskets in the air at the cubone, smiling at the other pokemon.

“You got the wrong idea Tiny. If this fella seems dangerous I’d have bitten down on his flank already.” Luxray said, rising to her full height. “And I’m not sure if I have a reason not to hurt them.” She stepped right in front of the mightyana and bared her fangs, snarling above it’s head. “Perhaps I should. It would give you some experience lil Noibat.” She glared at the Pokémon in front of her. “And you need that experience.”
Electric shocks were showing in between her fangs, a typical intimidation method for Luxrays. They would always use thunderfang, or let waves of electricity flow through their fur to scare off their foe. She was no different.

the mightyena wwas about to respond to the noibat in front of him, but stopped when the luxray approached him. vex looked up at the larger pokemon,
even more terrified of the pokemon. "i-i'm sorry for coming here, m-miss! please forgive m-me.." vex said nervously, his eyes widening as the luxray towered over him and started snarling at him. "i can explain m-myself! i'm v-vex. n-now you c-can hurt me. i-i'm just a pathetic, good for nothing chump. i have nothing t-to live for.." the mightyena realized he started to ramble on about himself, and immediately stopped. this luxray wouldn't take anything from anybody.. not even a mightyena as pathetic as he was.
when the noibat went in front of her face, the mightyena crouched on the ground slowly. this noibat.. what was he doing saving a loser like vex?

So she had battled the Kanto champion. He doubted it had been Red or the current one. He figured it had been Lance given that he had been champion of Kanto for several years. He could attest that Lance certainly wasn't an easy one to battle especially since that had been who he had beaten to take his title as champion of Johto. "So I'm guessing you fought Lance then? He was a tough one for sure. I faced him to get my title back when the league only had one champion for Kanto and Johto. It wasn't until they appointed me that they gave them both their own champions," he babbled, not realizing how much he was talking. Crystal had always said he had a bit of a problem with how much he went on and on. He never seemed to notice though. "But I did face another Kanto champion once. Nobody actually knows this, but I'm sure you know of Red, that Kanto trainer that's here. Heh, who am I kidding. Everyone knows him. He's a legend. But, ya know, he's the one I battled at Mt. Silver. Don't go telling anyone I told you that though. It's kind a thing the two of us have kept quiet for all these years. Nobody needs to know that the great Red has one loss on his record." He knew exactly what he was implying from his words. He felt that he could trust Erika with such knowledge though. There were few that actually knew of the battle. He actually hadn't even told Crystal about it even though they were close friends. Professor Oak was the only one he could think of that knew of the battle given that it had brought Red down from the mountain.

Shaking it off, his eyes moved up to the Pokemon that was flying overhead. Noivern. He had heard Crystal saying something about such a Pokemon. That was all she talked about anyways. She was always doing research for Elm and travelling for him. She always had tons of things coming in from other professor's for her to read and bore him with whenever he visited New Bark. It was no wonder he always ended up tuning her out. "Hm, I've never seen one of those before. Did you want one or something?" There had to be a reason she was pointing it out to him.

Opening her eyes as she heard the male's voice again, she let a soft chuckle escape her lips as his question. "Don't worry we will not need your other Pokemon. Finding the beach shouldn't be hard if we get up high enough," she said. They wouldn't need to be listening for anything only looking for it from up above. Sitting up from her relaxed position, she gave her Salamence a tap on the back to signal for him to begin moving higher up into the sky. Not only would it give them a chance to find the beach but a good look at the land around as well. She figured it might not be possible to see from one side of the region to the other, but it would give them a good idea of what might be around. Zyo quickly responded to his trainer's pat and began to fly upward with ease to give her a better look at their surroundings. Once they were up high enough, the champion let a soft hum escape her lips. She could see the lake they had previously crossed, but what interested her most was the variety of different areas the region seemed to have. Deserts, swamps, forest, mountains, beaches. It really had it all. It certainly was interesting.

Luxray turned her head to the side, facing away from the mightyana and yawned. “If you say so, Tiny. So. You’re name was Vex right? I’m Luxray. This is Noibat.” She said, tilting her head a bit downward for Tiny. “So. What do you want?” She said, with a flat tone.
She clearly was irritated by the presence of another Pokémon, but she had to bite her tongue since Tiny seemed to want to talk to it. Boy is that annoying, yet if this really is what Tiny wanted to do right now... it could provide some sort of amusement.

erika nodded at gold slowly, before talking again. "yeah, it was lance i fought. maybe i will be strong enough to challenge you one day."
erika smiled faintly at the words, before bashfully looking away. being the champion would be nice, and would probably even make ichirou come back. if she could manage to do just that, maybe, just maybe, her family could be free of their burdens. ichirou had almost beat lance once with his meganium, named beauty. when gold started talking about red, a little bit of amazement shone in her eyes. "wow. i never knew red lost to somebody. when i was ten, he was my idol." erika responded, before thinking about her comment. red was her idol (well, other than ichirou), to say the least. he had helped to take down team rocket, after all. it was honestly a surprise to erika that red would have ever lost to anybody."don't worry a bit. i won't tell anybody." erika said, looking up at the noivern again. she was definitely good at keeping secrets. in fact, erika had kept many of her brother's secrets without telling anybody. looking back at hades, who was chasing his own tail, she nodded at gold's question. "it's always been a dream of mine to get a noivern.. ever since my brother left, at least. that noivern he had was one of his favorite pokemon. i've always wanted to travel to kalos, but since my family is struggling financially, i can't go. i'm surprised that i even got to go to acrea." erika sighed, shaking her head. she wasn't even mad about mentioning ichirou to gold anymore.. she could trust him with such things. "i know this seems random, but i've been thinking of this ever since ichirou disappeared. did i tell you that i've been accused of being a criminal because i look strikingly similar to a boy that stole a totodile? rumors say we're related by blood, but I don't believe them. i actually think that boy drove off ichirou.." erika stated, sighing at the thought. if he could steal a totodile, certainly he can drive off a person, too.
part of erika wanted to say that he didn't do it. and he probably didn't--maybe she was just jumping to conclusions. "but i think that i'm just over thinking it."

the mightyena looked back up at luxray, his head held low. noibat and luxray. two pokemon he had heard of but never seen before. "y-yes, i'm vex. i o-only came through to visit t-the shrine for my old trainer a-nd brother." it was true that he was visiting the shrine for ophelia and bucky, who he assumed had passed away out in the wilderness. "you see, m-my old trainer d-died, a-and so did my b-brother..
so i visit the shrine i-in honor of their memory.." he hadn't realized that he had started to tear up when he spoke, and had begun to cry at the thought. "i lost t-them both, and i-it's my f-fault.." when the noibat commented on how wonderful he was, vex shook his head. "w-wonderful people d-don't let the ones they l-love the most d-die. if anything, y-your luxray f-friend here is wonderful f-for trying to d-drive me off."

xxxxxHe wasn't exactly sure how he had managed to fall asleep on the boat trip in the corner, still leaning over the edge but upon awakening he had to rush off before he would be left behind. Then again, he was used to doing such. He stayed up late at night most days to work on music with Mel or just train with them outside, but now his life would be changing, at least for a while. He had left his music at home so it wouldn't distract him but still, Mel had managed to sneak on into his bag. The pokemon knew him well enough that she assumed he would use it eventually as music had always been Sol's solace. His place of peace. Running a hand through his messy hair, Sol began to look around, not exactly sure on where to go. Looking towards Mel, he watched as the pokemon began to wander off and chased after it, not wanting to lose them in unknown land.

xxxxxInese nodded before grabbing the ham and cheese from the top shelf of the fridge, which proved to be a bit challenging due to her short stature but still, she managed to grab it and began making Alistair a sandwich. "But still, Noibat is adorable. And let's be honest, Noivern. Honestly a great pokemon in terms of speed and attack." Inese chuckled before grabbing the plates of food and brought it over to the table where Alistair was before taking a seat herself. As Alistair brought up work again, Inese groaned and leaned back in her chair with a small sigh. "Work this work that. I don't believe I've seen you take an actual break since last month. Being a workaholic isn't healthy, ya know?" She asked before taking a bite of her sandwich with a yawn. "I'm not going to force you to stay with me at all, but in my opinion, if you want to be more effective, some breaks are really mandatory. But it's still up to you." She said with finality as she continued to eat, looking up to see how Alistair would respond. She knew he loved working, which she found to be inspiring, kinda, but she also knew he tended to not look after himself because of his work-all-day attitude and that was a bit... confusing to her. She was one who couldn't focus past 3 hours of doing the same thing and would normally result with her going out to train or just mess around near the beach but Alistair, she could swear he never left his desk during her waking hours and that, was frightening?
