Embergaze laughed nervously "I promise not to send you on extra patrols if you make me mad." she said attempting to lighten the mood. She paused for a moment "Assignments are.. always pretty awkward.. I didn't expect you either I thought maybe.. someone I was friends with already but.. I was hoping at the very least we could possibly become friends eventually." she said. That would make it work wouldn't it? That was what many of these were, weren't they? Embergaze didn't know a lot about love, every time she thought she did she got it wrong. But what she assumed was that most mates were just good friends. That seemed to be the nature of the clan at least to her.

Darkgaze padded out of the warrior's den his yellow gaze moving past Frostpetal for a moment and a look of sympathy crossed his face before he looked away. He understood heartache well. Though it may be in a slightly different way. Darkgaze had, had two cats now that he'd loved and lost. Which seemed to be the reason he never spoke to his assigned mate or anyone really in a more romantic sense.

He replied by nuzzling her then nodding "Yeah it'll be nice to watch them grow up and become warriors.. Hawktalon snorted slightly as Briarheart joined them though he couldn't mask the happiness that shone in his eyes when she came over. They'd seemingly lost everything and put the pieces back together and it drew him to her more and more every day. He was especially greatful Acornkit seemed to take to her too.

The pretty tortoiseshell nodded a worried look still on her face as she watched him. She was lucky, her siblings were still in camp safe and sound. She stood up slowly "Let's get going then." she said her voice soft. Riverbriar had always admired Moonflight, even before they had been a forbidden couple. He'd always handled things so well and he still was. Many other cats would just break down when faced with a missing sibling.

Stormyskies chuckled "I thought you were pretty sweet and cute." he said. He flicked his ears frowning slightly "I.. have to agree." he let out a sigh. "When I was an apprentice I was pretty obsessed with being loyal to the clan and loyal to the rules.. I blamed it for Petalpelt dying.. If she'd followed the rules I didn't think she'd be dead." he frowned more "But it's not that simple.. No one should be forced into something.. Even if it works for some cats its not fair to everyone.. And it's not fair to punish them for falling inlove.." he said.

She knew Rosethorn wasn't there at the moment but it stuck out in camp as a constant reminder of their leader.

Spottedpaw tried to settle down a little but the young calico was still obviously very excited. She listened to the other talk her ears pricked. She was happy things felt like they were going back to normal again. It felt nice to be able to just be here with her clanmates and everyone to be happy.

He'd always liked Wolfstar, and had been glad to see him again in the new clan. He and Nightdust had passed rather suddenly and it reminded him of his own family. Did Bayclaw even know her brothers were out here? It was too late now.. Just like it was too late for him and Sootnose...

The silver-grey tabby nodded to her apprentice "Yes i'll be going with him." she said as she headed towards the medicine cat's den. She kept her composure up as she listened to Copperfang's announcement while she gathered the traveling herbs. She appeared fine however despite the announcement of her uncles passing. But Rainysplash knew now was not the time for grieving. That would come later. So as cold as it may appear to anyone on the outside she was keeping her feelings in. She returned to Copperfang with a quick glance at the clan before she laid the traveling herbs in front of him.

"I'm fine, I can handle it." Crowstrike replied, his ears burning. He didn't want anyone to make excuses for him just because of a small injury. He wouldn't slow them down. He pushed forward against the warning pinpricks of pain in his leg until he matched Bayclaw's pace and padded beside her out of camp.

Rowanflame shook his head with a sigh when he saw Crowstrike stubbornly push himself, despite the fact that it had to hurt at least a bit. It was typical of the dark-furred tom, and Rowanflame knew that if he got it into his head that he had to prove he was not a burden to anyone, he would go against any well-meant advice. With a shrug, the ginger warrior followed after his clanmates.

Echosong

Echosong stirred, waking up from a peaceful, dreamless sleep. The sounds of camp reached her even in the back of the warrior's den and she knew it was about time to get up and get some work done. She stretched her muscles and shook out her fur before cleaning it thoroughly to get out any remaining pieces of moss that had gotten stuck in her pelt while she slept. When she was all done, Echosong padded out of the den and looked around. She spotted Hawkeye sitting not far away from the fresh-kill pile and decided to go talk to him. Walking over, she said with a smile, "Good morning."

Creamflower smiles and follows Bearshadow out of the warriors den. Suddenly, she heard and saw Copperfang, the Clan's deputy, speaking on the Highrock. Listening to what he said, she felt sorrow filling her heart. She felt bad that Wolfstar, the tom who was kind enough to let her and Bearshadow in, the cat who mentored her mate back in DuskClan, had lost his last life and died. "Did you hear that Bearshadow?" she said sadly. "Copperfang just announced that Wolfstar died."

Sage felt the sun rays warm her fur, she opened her eyes, getting to her paws she began to stretch. She felt as if today was going to be great. Sage decided to go hunting, she crouched low, sniffing the air, she smelt a fresh scent of rabbit, she began to stalk towards the rabbit. Waiting for the right moment, she pounced on the rabbit, biting in between its neck, swiftly killing it. She picked it up in between her jaws, padding back to her spot, she sat down, dropping the rabbit, she began eating the rabbit. She suddenly felt satisfied. Sure being a loner can be lonely, but she didn't mind being alone every once in a while.

Shadepaw climbed up a tree and emediatly saw Cloudpaw "Hi cloudpaw!" He said climbing down and trotting over to her.

The tom had announced that Wolfstar had passed. Alright well now for the big thing. Copperfang looked over at the medicine cat. He ate the herbs up before signaling with his tail the meeting was dismissed and he started to pad over to the camp's entrance. At least Rainysplash was beside him. This would have been a mess if it wasn't for her.

The she cat looked around before she padded over to a tree and laid down beside it all sprawled out. Weaselstorm groomed her fur up before she mumbled, "Why do I have a warrior name still? It's been many moons. Probably no one remembers me." She shrugged before continuing to groom her fur up. Maybe going back to her old name before she became a clan cat would do.

"I was thinking we could head towards the east border." she said "There's been rumors of another group of cats over there.." she didn't want to say rumors of another clan out loud. She wasn't sure how everyone would feel about that but she was pretty certain that's what they were. "I don't know how big they are but I believe they've moved in over there." she said.

Spottedpaw tried to settle down a little but the young calico was still obviously very excited. She listened to the other talk her ears pricked. She was happy things felt like they were going back to normal again. It felt nice to be able to just be here with her clanmates and everyone to be happy.

He'd always liked Wolfstar, and had been glad to see him again in the new clan. He and Nightdust had passed rather suddenly and it reminded him of his own family. Did Bayclaw even know her brothers were out here? It was too late now.. Just like it was too late for him and Sootnose...

Mistyfalls glanced at the two kits she'd recently taken in quietly and nodded. She felt very grateful to have been allowed to raise them but she did feel very bad for them and their parents. She turned her attention to Deerhorn quickly and frowned worriedly "I'm very sorry Deerhorn.. You've suffered far too much.. If there's ever anything I can do to help.. Please let me know." she said softly.

She watched the clan for a few more minutes before she left with Copperfang her head held high. "This is all very sudden." she said softly. "But it'll all work out i'm sure of it." she said before she offered him a small smile "We don't live that far away from the moon cave.. It's just north of our territory.. But it's also just north of DuskClan's. Though I don't think they'd have a border patrol that close to it so we should be fine." she said.

Shadepaw climbed up a tree and emediatly saw Cloudpaw "Hi cloudpaw!" He said climbing down and trotting over to her.

She saw a bird pulling a worm out of the ground "yum, i love bird!" She talked the bird licking her lips. She wrigled her hindquater and her tail flipped and the bird flew. Just jumped and snatched the bird.

Patches

Patches backed up and hung his head "no" He mumbled "will you help me?" He asked looking up. Hope was bubbling in his eyes.
