rose pps is worth 11 mid advents;
a mid advent is worth 6-8 '09 rares so 66-88 '09 rares.

Just curious for some personal opinions, what do people value the august pps lion at these days? I've seen it go for advent lists sometimes and sometimes main so want to find a common ground.

I wouldn’t pay more than a low-mid advent. Although it does sometimes go for below-gap mainlists, they usually are like the speckled rat or other low demand lists. Although it’s still overpay, sometimes people just get tired of never getting good trades for their pets, so they would trade them for high demand non-lists (August pps, May lioness, etc.)
