nani's favorite treat is worm cakes! when she was a small guppy she used to make all sorts of goodies with her nana or grandma, but her all time favorite was the worm cakes. when her mum died her pa left her with her nana and their favorite pastime would be baking and story telling. each story came with a new idea for a baked good, the story for the worm cakes was 'the girl who befriended crows'. yes, and odd story to think about worms, but when nani was small she thought the worms did not get enough credit! I mean c'mon, they kept those crows alive! so she devised a plan to make a dessert to honor the oh so forgotten worm.

sardines - some might wrinkle their nose in disgust at
hearing this, but ailbhe has always loved the tiny canned
fish since her father first shared a tin with her. she
especially loves mustard sardines. it's her go-to snack,
and she has memories of sitting on out on the dock near
the ocean, waiting from her father to return from his
fishing trip. she would snack on sardines and toss some
out for the fish, too - she always thought it was fun to
watch them all swim up to the surface to grab a bite. ★

ailbhe can never stay still for too long, always eager to try something new; she becomes bored very easily, so she seeks out exciting, thrilling things to do, like mountain-climbing or skydiving. her love of adventure can sometimes get her into trouble, but ailbhe considers that part of the fun - she loves a challenge. however, in stressful situations involving other people, she struggles, and usually doesn't know how to react. the outdoors is her element; relationships, not so much. she's quite avoidant when it comes to dealing with personal issues; she has trouble dealing with them, so she bottles her feelings up and distracts herself with something else. ailbhe puts on a front of being strong, flawless, fearless, but in reality, she feels she has to be the best, or she's not good enough. she unintentionally pushes others away with her arrogant attitude. ailbhe would never admit it, but she longs to have a friend who accepts her for who she is, flaws and all.

Ari's favorite show growing up was, of course, Scooby-Doo Where Are You. He loves the remake What's New Scooby-Doo too, but not as much as the original. Ari loves the graham cracker Scooby Snack cookies, but he also likes to make his own. Sometimes he throws in extra ingredients, like cranberries or pineapple.

Ari was a frightful child. Any little noise or shadow made him jump and he often had panic attacks. His parents tried everything to help him and was always accepting of his choices, including when he told them he was trans. Nothing worked though.
Until one day he was sitting and watching tv in the living room, back against the wall, wrapped in a big blanket, and a show came on that would change his life. It was not only amusing, but it helped him see that even the creepiest monster can be an illusion.
