~Help develop Portal Cats~

I've been trying to develop these for months now, I'm super stuck. That is why I am here, seeking help from all the creative minds out there!

To start off I would like to show you guys what I have so far.

Origin
Porta cattus, literally portal cats, are a subspecies of felines from space. They're one of the many unique species living on various regions of the planet Theolite. P.C.'s are mostly carnivorous, with an exception of a few domestic ones being omnivorous due to being fed chrupki ([kibble] meat+veggies inside lil round crispy dissolvable chips) by scientists. Many have developed unique qualities and mutations because of the amount of other-worldly energy they use to create and open existing portals.

Sm0l Facts:
-Usually solitary animals, tolerating the presence of 1-2 other P.C.'s.
-Feast on meat-plants (basically plants made out of meat but act the same as regular plants) and small animals.
-Always have at least one energy circle around them/any body part/limb

that's all I got... RIP IMAGINATION

-Theolite planet region names/descriptions
-Any cool things you can think of!

Ahh thank you *v* I'm gonna need artists + an archivist possibly. Would love a couple mods too.
Of course this species won't be up and running 'till probably late January but I like to dream... xD

This is a great name, but I feel it is not that appealing. I mean it's just Portal, cats. what about Poterenekos or maybe Calas, or just potarus. Something more interesting and not so generic?

I mean... You could always have a rare trait that is a unicorn horn or something with 3 energy rings around it... Maybe a black hole underneath a cat?
