Lindal pressed into him, his small, seven year old body dwarfed by Sam. He himself was tall for his age yet compared to all 6ft3 of Sam, he was tiny. His body shook softly as the tears began to pour properly. Something aboit being held by Sam made him feel safe enough to just let his emotions pour out.

Sam went from stroking Lindal's hair to rubbing his back and he couldn't help think that this was their fault. They were the ones that went to get Lindal and were they really thinking of hurting him at one point, it made him sick.

Libdal began to calm down. He leaned away from Sam and dried his eyes. He turned so no he rested on Sam and still watched the tv. They were unmasking the 'ghost to reveal it as the hotel manager. He giggled at the childish quips. He ate a bit of his food.

Sam was glad that Lindal had calmed down a little and began to eat as well before joining him in watching the television. He decided that no body was too old for cartoons and that was the way he was going to live.

Lindal giggled as the show ended and the next episode began, glad it was back-to-back. He yawned and rubbed his eyes as he at a meatball, holding the end of his fork as he bit the side of his odd-shaped meatball.

"We did pretty good, didn't we Lindal?" Sam asked, eating some more food and humming in delight at the way it warmed up his stomach.

Lindal nodded, his cheek and hair smushed up against Sam. He put the rest of the nearbskl in his mouth and chewed it as he hummed along to the theme tune.

When Sam finished eating, he put the bowl on the table to clean later and wrapped one arm around Lindal, resting it on his shoulder.

Lindal looked up at him and smiled, took his knees up to one side as he continued to eat, much slower than Sam.

"You seem like a good kid, you know that Lindal?" Sam said somewhat out of the blue however he was just deciding to voice his opinion.
