rusty and katja traveled, catching some prey along the way. they traveled to a forested area, where they found two small yellow lumps of fur. one of them stared up at them with scared black eyes, while the other jumped in front of their sibling and growled. "stay away from her!" they barked, their voice wavering from fear. rusty looked to katja, unsure of how to deal with this. katja rolled her eyes and laid down, flattening her ears. "we aren't going to hurt you, don't worry. i'm katja, and he's rusty." she murmured. they calmed down, and the quieter one peeked out from behind her sister. "i'm alia, and this is my sister, mari!" the retriever yipped, all apprehension gone from her. mari still looked at them with a hint of suspicion, peering out from behind alia. "where are your parents?" katja knew the answer before she even asked the question. alia's furiously wagging tail slowed, and drooped behind her. "...w-we don't know. one moment they were there, and the next they were just... gone." katja looked back at rusty, who gravely nodded. "don't worry. we can look for your parents, and in the meantime, we can take care of you." alia perked up again, and mari stared at them with wide eyes. this time, it was mari's slightly hoarse voice which echoed through the forest. "...really?" katja nodded, standing up. "well, what are you waiting for? let's go!" alia yelped with excitement and bounced around katja and rusty's paws. mari quietly padded over to katja and gave a tiny smile. katja smiled back, then set off. rusty, in shock that the normally prickly katja had a softer side, had to race to catch up with them. "how?" was all he asked, with katja simply grinning and shaking her head.

Dahlia tread through her territory, Blue and Koda by her side. "Koda, you go with Esther, Sova and Tank. Hunt for some sheep on the farmland if possible, but rabbits, hares and birds would be fine as well." She commanded with a stern voice, the coonhound nodded and trotted off, presumably in the direction of the mentioned dogs. Dahlia then turned to Blue, "You and Eris go patrol the borders in the city, we need to keep our gaurd up over there." She followed the second-in-command with her eyes as he grunted and ran off. She walked forwards, heading towards the healer den where Rowdy was most likely looking after Lucetta, the young pup they had stolen from some abandoned territory. She walked into Rowdy's den, looking around to find the two dogs. Suddenly the Bull Terrier's egg-shaped head popped up and Dahlia smiled, a young bundle of fur suddenly ran past her to get to Rowdy. "You might as well be the girl's mother, Rowdy. You've been the one watching her the most." Dahlia chuckled a bit and Rowdy looked to the pup around his paws, "I do what I must, ma'am," the medic replied, and Dahlia shook her head. "Rowdy, take a break and go search for some herbs, your stocks look pretty empty. Don't worry, I'll look after Lucetta." Dahlia said, Rowdy nodded before exiting the den, leaving the pitbull with the saluki puppy.

Koda trotted through the forest towards the abandoned building, it was the kennel's meeting place and camp, so he assumed that the three dogs he was looking for would be there. Surely enough, they were, Esther and Sova were sitting together, talking about something. Tank was scratching and digging at the floor, obviously an interesting scent had cought his nose. Eris was also there, doing her own thing, but Koda payed no attention. "Esther, Sova and Tank, let's go. The queen has sent us out for a hunt." He barked at them before turning and walking out, looking back to make sure the three dogs were following behind him. As they made their way to the farmlands Koda breifed them on what they would be hunting. Koda and Esther would be in a team, while Sova and Tank would hunt together. The pairs split up to cover their farm territory, and set off to work.

Blue nodded to Koda as he watched the coonhound's team leave the building, he entered himself, grabbing Eris and heading out to the streets. The pair chose their path carefully, knowing that this place was dangerous. They kept an eye out for rogues and dogs from other kennels. Occasionally cars would beep at the pair and humans would shoo them away, but Blue or Eis would just bark or growl in return.

Rowdy walked off through the forest, looking around him for any herbs that he may find. Dahlia was true, the store was diminished and if something were to happen they wouldn't be prepared. Looking after Lucetta had taken up the majority of his time, and he enjoyed it, but it was still nice to have a break and do his true job. He looked at the ground, around logs, trees and bushes, just trying to find anything that he could.

a commotion had risen just outside of the camp, a series of barks and howl had broken out through the string of dogs that crowded about. Many cried out, rather annoyed or confused as to what was happening. As more dogs came into the situation, a few senseless arguments broke out about someone stepping on another's paw or tail. There was a flurry of emotions strung out through the group of dogs.

Noticing the chaos, Diablo eagerly padded out of his large den and towards the top of the small waterfall that was near the mouth of his den. His muscles rippled beneath his coat, tensed as he prepared himself to fling himself into a fight. Bloodlust glimmerered in his striking amber eyes, though it quickly turned to anger as he looked over the crowd of dogs to see what was the centre of the attention. It was pups.

Two, both rather tall for their age and grey in colour, one darker than the other. One seemed rather excited about all the dogs, while the other seemed to hide behind the other. Diablo growled mutedly once, and then stepped onto one of the flattened rocks that was placed next to the small camp waterfall and threw back his head into a deep howl that rolled off his throat like crackling thunder in a hurricane. It was a terrifying sound that sent the pack dogs head to whip around in little over a split-second, their eyes wide.

"Why has this havoc not been alerted to me sooner?" Diablo roared, sending a few of the more submissive dogs to take hesitant steps back, even though he was atop of the rocks and out of reach. No one answered as he eyes spanned the crowd, dark eyes narrowed. "Do any of you have an ounce of loyalty in those minuscule fibers of your brain?" He snarled hotly, leaping nimbly off of the rocks and down the steps to where the dogs were.

As he got closer to the group, the dogs begun to fan out and make a small pathway leading right to the pups, murmuring things to the canines closest to them. The older pups stared at Diablo, one trying to mask their fear and the other letting it show quite plainly across her face as the doberman advanced towards them with a cold expression pressed against his features. Once he was only a rabbit-length away from them, he lifted one forepaw and struck it out in front of the pups, only missing their fur by mere milliseconds. The cowering one trembled in fear.

Diablo lifted his head, facing the crowd. "How did you allow this to happen?" He asked with a menacing tone. "How is it that a mere pup has managed to move through our borders?" He suddenly whirled around suddenly to face the unfortunate soul that was opposite of where he was facing perviously, lips pulled back as he growled in their faces. "Is this what my kennel has come to already? Are we falling apart just like the measly Valiant Storms?'' He smirked as a few growls from the pervious Valiant Storm's pack members.

A slow ripple of 'no' passed through the crowd, then raising its volume to a heavy chant.

"No, No, No!" A high-pitched voice said, which made the crowd silence suddenly. Diablo craned his head to face the owner of the voice; the little—actually, rather tall— dark gray pup. Her sibling repeated her words quietly until she realized that the domineering doberman was watching them intently.

"I find this incredulously disgusting." He snapped, jaws parting in the air and revealing sharp teeth. "It appears two measly pups are more loyal to this pack than any of you miscreants." He paused. "But I'll still have to kill them."

A shocked gasp burst through the crowd, some dogs eyes widening while others smiled darkly. However, it was the mastiff mutt Zariana that spoke out. "Don't you dare, Diablo!" She cried angrily.

A malicious glint slipped past his dark crimson-amber eyes. "You object, Zariana?" Diablo asked, his voice sickly-sweet though radiating a clear cruelness to it, as though daring her to say anything more.

"I do. They have their entire lives ahead of them and you think it's okay to just take it from them?" She asked, her voice shrilly.

"Yes. I've done it before."

Zariana sighed, head lowering for a moment before snapping it back up with a look of determination glowing in her eyes. "If you won't understand my point, then let me take it from another point of view.. Do you realize what type of dogs these two are? Do you believe they will stay this small?" She questioned, voice trembling slightly as she saw his annoyed expression. "They are wolfhounds."

Diablo's ear twitched, interest suddenly peeking through his initial intentions. "Go on." He ordered.

"They will grow to be bigger than even Odyssey, coming close to the size of Valerik. Surely you want such intimidating dogs on your side?" She explained, taking a step towards the pups, who came tumbling over to her. "And, to humour my sovereign, I will mentor them."

The massive brute stared at Zariana with a blank face. "Don't play me as a fool, combatant." He tutted with a dangerous edge to his tone. "I will have you mentor the meeker one." Pausing, he swung his long muzzle to face the fellow doberman, Neith. "And Angel will train the other."

A few snickers erupted from the crowd at the nickname the sovereign constantly used on Neith. She bristled, eyes burning with annoyance as she stared at the taller pup of the pair of wolfhounds, then switching her gaze to Diablo, who merely smirked at her hostility.

"Well, off to your duties, everyone. A ceremony will be hosted when the moon rises to its peak, but until then I expect good hunting and patrolling." As the words passed his dark ebony lips, the dogs began to quickly disperse into bands of patrolling and hunting groups.

Swinging Blades

Number of Dogs: 11 Males_ 8 Females_ 19 Total
While the dogs were hanging around camp, some enjoying a meal and others relaxing in their grass nests, the scent of dogs wafted into camp. Summer immediately became aware. She stood and growled. Everyone else followed her lead. Maxie's fur stood on his back and though he was slightly smaller than some other dogs, he was still intimidating.
From the direction of the woods, a large rottweiler approached followed closely by an anatolian shepherd. The rottweiler took a threatening pose when he saw the dogs. Blitz had his eyes locked on the rottie and was about to pounce when Summer stopped him. "No! Let me talk to them." She closed the gap in between her kennel and the stray dogs. Summer held up her head in an authoritative way. "Are you really thinking of attacking my kennel? It looks to me that you two are horribly outnumbered. If I were you I'd think of changing my stance to a less threatening pose in front of the Swinging Blades alpha."
The anatolian shepherd whispered to the rottie "Kaiser, I think you'd better back off. We can't win in a fight right now."
"Grr hush Rev! These dogs might still attack us if we put down our guard."
Summer smiled at Kaiser. "You are smart to be wary of strangers. But you have forgotten that you and your mate have trespassed right into our camp. There is little reason why we shouldn't think the same."
Kaiser relaxed and with his ears held back said "Please don't attack us. She is not my mate but we are from the same kennel. We are looking for a kennel to join. Our old one got disbanded. Revolution here is pregnant and we would like to have shelter in your kennel. I'd make a fine irontooth and when Rev is done raising her pups you'll find that she is a powerful member too."
Summer nodded. "I admire your courage to face a kennel by yourselves and know you will be great additions to the kennel. Welcome to the Swinging Blades."
Revolution wagged her tail. She spoke up "Alpha if I may inform you, there is also another dog who has been following us. She is not from our kennel and keeps her distance. But she does not seem harmful. I'd imagine that she is not far away."
"Ok, let's go find her."
Summer and Revolution search for the other dog until they see a tail in the distance. The two dogs flank and cut off the female. Summer surprises her as she asks "What are you doing here?"
The pitbull-lab mix tucks her tail in and says "I'm sorry. I was on my way to find my kennel that the ancestors sent me to. I saw this pregnant dog and knew that she'd need the assistance of a shaman when the time came. I'm Nikita and I'm a shaman. I'd like to join your kennel."
"We already have a shaman, but you are welcome to join."
"Really?! Thank you!" The three walked back to camp.
A few day later, another dog approached camp looking for a kennel to join. He was a boston terrier named Stitches. Summer let him join after he showed her that even though he is small, he is fast.
Keesha watched stitches in interest. She thought He is a fast dog. His legs are small but strong. I know he will do well to fit in with this kennel.

⚓ founded by three dogs, called by the names of eden, bailey and angus. they all came to this part of the coast after some act of misfortune on their part. eden, a beautiful collie who was abandoned by her owner after they found out her pedigree was not as complete and pure as they so badly wanted. bailey, a sweet irish setter who master (an elder man who he loved dearly) passed away suddenly, leaving him forced to leave. and angus, a burly german shepherd who survived shipwreck after the boat that he and his owner went on crashed.

They then gathered up the rejects of the world, the ones who lost their humans or never had them in the first place, creating a large pack.. until the massive storm. it came through pack and left nothing behind and the dogs camp was destroyed.

the three founders now want to give it another try, and they have called upon a little border collie to lead the silentium into glory. the leader will teach them the things they were known for, like their quiet intelligence, religion with the night and affiliation with the seas. she will teach them the traditions and raise them back into their greatness.

the small pack traveled onwards, deeper into the forest. "when are we gonna stop?" alia whined. "my paws hurt!" katja sighed with a hint of amusement. "right up there. you see that cave." alia peered ahead, and perked up when she saw the aforementioned cave. "c'mon, mari! let's go!" alia and mari raced ahead, only to crash into a lean alaskan malamute. they yelped in fear and scurried back to rusty and katja. rusty stepped in front of the tenderpaws, growling in a warning tone. "who are you?" rusty growled. "i'm arron. nice to meet you." the malamute seemed unaffected by rusty's hostility and dipped their head. "i kind of live in these woods, so that's why i'm here." a flash of orange fur appeared in the corner of katja's vision, and she whipped her head around to be greeted with a tiny finnish spitz. "this is elle, my sister." elle dipped her head politely and went to stand by arron. rusty seemed to realize something, and stepped forward. "do either of you know anything about herbs?" elle stepped forward. "i-i do." "would you like to join our clan? both of you, i mean." katja side-eyed rusty, unsure if they were to be trusted. the newcomers looked at each other, a silent conversation passing between them before they looked back at them. "we'd love to." arron said.
