how much does this pet go for in rares? (ive seen people want low advent lists for it, how much of an overtrade would that be?)
i know its demand is pretty high.

It can go for a low to mid advent (3- 8 09 rares) due to demand, although this varies from user to user. Rarity wise, it's worth a late 09 rare c:

she was a 2012 Halloween event pet that you got by clicking on the banners and hoping for a pet rather than tokens... three month rule or a swap from the litter, but it’s possible that you’d see slight overpay bc of its design and the fact it was a Halloween event dog, plus bc there aren’t as many 2012 rares as say, 2009 so a straight rare swap would be tricky

(sidenote: i remember they were going for ridiculous overpay during the event though that was a fun time)

How much is this valentine's early '09 horse worth? I thought it was just a normal '09 very rare, but I've gotten a lot of trades for it that seemed to be overpaying by quite a bit. Does it just have a high demand?

the coontail has good demand, it usually goes for around what it's worth on the rareslist, maybe a bit more.

(to be a little more clear though: it's on the same tier as the sunback, but since the sunback's demand is crazy it doesn't ever go for one. but that's a special case.)
