Why do they have a radioactive symbol on them?: Toxin spent the majority of his life in a lab being tested on since scientists had never before seen a creature like him. He had been around so many unsafe chemicals that they decided to mark him with said symbol, as though he was a threat to the environment and even humans.

Why do they have a radioactive symbol on them?: Bane's home had become a prime dumping spot for toxic substances once the human's discovered the seemingly empty expanse of ground. This illegal dumping had turned the area into a radioactive area, quickly shut away from the rest of humanity. The waste had reached Bane's nesting spot where he had been effected by the toxins as a young child; these substances quickly mutated his DNA, making the Revenant a walking breathing radioactive monster.
