Creamflower listens to Wolfstar, nodding in agreement with what he said. "Of course!" she said. "I dont think we plan on telling them anyway." She looks back at Bearshadow, knowing that they both are safe at last. She knows its hard to leave behind the Clan that raised them both, but she knows its for the best.

Shadowsneak shook out his black pelt. "I don't know," he mewed helplessly, looking out over the bleak landscape of water, mud, and floating branches, cats strewn in the distance in varying areas. Perhaps they ought to spread around, and search, but something - maybe the sucking darkness in his head, or the stabbing in his lungs, or the tremor of his tail - told him that perhaps collapsing would be a better idea.

Forward One Moon

It had been a moon now since the flood had ripped through DuskClan seemingly taking with it many of their cats. Anyone who'd disappeared had just been assumed dead. Bayclaw had mourned for her clanmates but she'd started to have a more positive outlook on life in recent time. Having been reunited with one of her beloved sisters she'd made a complete turn around and seemed much more happier and stable. Currently she sat outside of the warrior's den with Brighteyes quietly waiting for patrols to be made, kits to be apprenticed, anything.

Brighteyes laid beside Bayclaw watching the clan slowly wake up, her paws itched to do something. She'd been trying her best to make up for lost time with her clan. Always helping out as best she could. She didn't currently have an assigned mate, which she was grateful for. She wasn't ready to take on the stress of a cat who didn't love her.

Brackenfall had barely just dragged himself out of his nest this morning. Staring down at his paws guiltily, their sister wasn't around and he placed the blame on himself for not paying attention to his siblings during the flood. He let out a soft sigh and laid down staring blankly forward at the camp. They were rebuilding it.. again.

Darkgaze padded out of the warrior's den his yellow gaze moving past Frostpetal for a moment and a look of sympathy crossed his face before he looked away. He understood heartache well. Though it may be in a slightly different way. Darkgaze had, had two cats now that he'd loved and lost. Which seemed to be the reason he never spoke to his assigned mate or anyone really in a more romantic sense.

Swiftleap padded into camp a squirrel hanging from his jaws, thankful that the flood hadn't killed all the prey. He headed towards the nursery excitedly. He hoped Briareyes and the kits would be awake it was a time to celebrate! They were close to their apprentice ceremonies and he couldn't be more proud.

Hawktalon padded in after his brother, though he hadn't made it to the nursery before his only remaining kit came running out. But more importantly she'd done something she could never take back to Acornkit.

Her heart raced slightly and she tried not to look like some fool smiling to herself.

Shadowsneak looked up to see Spottedpaw springing about like a hare, positively exploding with excitement, and a purr shook him. A moon after the flood, he was still worried that the apprentice was hurting, but seeing her so happy infected him as well. Tail waving in the sunlight, he crossed the clearing to her and mewed a greeting. "Excited to become a warrior? To get assigned?" He nudged her shoulder playfully. "Paws crossed for anyone in particular?" Shadowsneak whispered, teasing her. His heart hadn't felt so light since his clanmates had disappeared in the flood, but then he thought of their leader...and suddenly his world seemed all the brighter. Maybe I should be teasing myself about getting assigned!

- The tom had finally made it back to camp. He had gotten swept away during the flood but thankfully he managed to return. It would be weird but worth it. Moonflight took a deep breath in and entered the camp. Not like many cats would care but, he was back.

Blazepaw had been hunting earlier and had brought back a squirrel. She felt like helping the clan since the flood. It made her happy to be doing something to help. But now what could she do? Blazepaw sat, lost in thought.
โOh thank you, Hollowcliff!โ Silverkit meowed happily. She padded over to the warrior. โIโm glad things are back to normal after the flood.
Smokepaw grabbed a mouse from the fresh kill pile. She had just patrolled the boarders and didnโt find any threat or a single sign of danger. She tilted her head when she saw Hollowcliff in the nursery with Silverkit. She thought it was nice of her mentor to bring Silverkit food.
Mousekit was sleeping, snuggled up against her brother.

Cloudpaw blinked her eyes open. Oh no! I think I overslept! she thought in alarm. She quickly stood up and trotted out of the dark den. The sun hit her white pelt and made it seem even brighter. She smiled and glanced around camp. Many cats seemed to be out of camp hunting or training, so she trotted over to the fresh-kill pile. She picked up a small mouse and trotted to the corner of camp to eat. She set down the mouse and sat down to eat.
