There is one month every year, where Utaria's three moons a line in the heavens. The moons turn a deep red and shine down upon the dark forest. It is during this time creatures crawl from under the earth and seek the blood of those who sleep under the moonlight. Many animals leave the dark forest during this time but some become curious and stay. Those who don't make it out become altered... with a lust for blood. Their thirst only overwhelms them during the Curse Moons. Which for earth is the same month of Halloween. Even though the animals are cursed they are completely harmless until the next month.

Welcome to the first Halloween Event for Tarren. Be sure to check up on DeviantArt for more Rare and Uncommon Tarren. Also keep up on the Website, for new rules, announcements and updates!

In order to win the Tarren in these events you must follow all rules and put in the code word: Spiderwinkle. Somewhere in your post. There will be multiple Tarren to try out for during this event. They will be Common-Rare. The things you must do for this Tarren specifically, is to guess what kind of feature it has. You get 5. Guesses. Also you must write a small ghost story/campfire story about the horrors of the Dark Forest during the Curse Moons. If I chose your story I will use it in future events as past of Tarren history. I wish you all luck... and may the protector of Utaria protect you as well...

1. Dark colored fur with intricate patterns almost as dark
2. All around tattered - torn ears, chipped spikes and horns, a few missing patches of fur...
3. Fur, spikes, and claws unkempt and longer than they should be
4. Thick, viscous oils leaking from various orifices and clumped through the fur via grooming
5. Red eyes that shine like the Curse Moons

Ghost Story:(no more than 400 words)
Most creatures don't fear those minuscule in size. It goes against the nature of many - if it's small how can it possibly be a threat? There are many creatures that take advantage of this error in perception, that sneak by unnoticed by all those that pass by. The spores in the Dark Forest are but one of many examples of this. They slip past detection - the little floaters in the corner of your eye, the little specks of dust visible in the rays of light cast by the Curse Moons. You don't fear or even acknowledge their presence. No one does, for what beast in a world cowers at the sight of dust? None.
No, it's the Hosts that bring fear into the eyes of future victims. You see... It's the Hosts they fear. The mindless, fungus covered beasts with their dead, empty eyes and awkward shamble send many running for cover and fearing for their lives, but by then it's too late. No one fears the Spores, the little dust like specks in the light. No one fears them, so they walk by and through them, breathing the Spores in and infecting themselves. They doom themselves to a similar fate, to one day have their body piloted into a tree or onto a high spot in the cliff face to shower spores down below.
A most brilliant way to spread progeny, you see, for if there's one trait that many species share...
It's that they never look up.
