briar smiled kindly at luckywish before returning her attention to the tom in front of her. "nothing really,
it's almost too quiet." chuckling softly, the silver tabby paused before continuing her sentence. "it's pretty
nice nothing has happened, but i've got so used to the action that i'm kinda bored."

thinking back to the prey pile, briarflight realized that they were running a little low on prey.
"sure, hunting seems fun!" her amber eyes bright with glee, adrenaline pumped through her
veins. she couldn't help but imagine the thrill of the chase.

Why were they there?
Shadowpaw was confused as well. Surely there couldn't be icicles during leafbare. It just didn't make any logical sense. "It should have melted off by now if they were normal icicles," Shadowpaw reasoned, trying to make sense of the whole situation. A realization dawned on him suddenly. "Mistypool, do you think it's related to your vision?"
Pawing at the icicles to try to brush them off the bush, Shadowpaw noticed, with growing horror, that parts of the foliage on the bush broke off with the icicles, almost looking like a chunk of the bush broke off on its own.

Brightsky had expected Jaysong to start bragging about how strong he was, or to talk about a cool border skirmish he experienced.
This wasn't what she expected.
Suddenly all the irritation towards the tom vanished, and what remained was just empathy for him.
"I-I didn't know about the life you led before joining Airclan," Brightsky said quietly, looking up at Jaysong with shining eyes. "Sorry for bringing up painful memories."

It didn't take long before Jaysong managed to free the fluffy she-cay from the thorns, and she managed to wrench herself free. Brightsky bit her lip, suppressing the urge to screech in dismay at her tangled fur.

Trying to make the atmosphere lighter, Brightsky turned to the young warrior. "As you can see, I have the coordination and reflexes of a tree trunk. Maybe you could help to train me into the best warrior of the clan?"

Yawning, the tom waited for everyone in patrol to get ready. There had been many rogues in the area recently. He wasn't necessarily for violence, but he wasn't against it , either.

"Hey, Lakepaw, are you excited to go on patrol?" Amber eyes twinkling, Brackenheart flicked his striped tail playfully at the the young apprentice. Lakepaw still looked slightly nervous, and Brackenheart couldn't help but shoot an encouraging glance back at her.

Swiftstar flicked her tail. "We have a visitor." The she-cat hissed. She narrowed her eyes, trying to make out the figure. "It's a cat..." She was finally able to make out a cream-colored pelt. Swiftstar took a couple steps closer to the visitor. The unfamiliar presence now became a familiar cat. Who is that...? The she-cat scanned her brain, attempting to place a name on that cat. With a couple additional steps closer, Swiftstar yelled out, "Who dares enter Airclan territory?"

Jaysong shook his head, "It's okay." The tom looked at the she-cats paw. He might have managed to free her from the thorns but it still was not in good condition. Jaysong listened as Brightsky talked. "Well. We'll see. How about we get you to the medicine cat den first. You need to get yourself cleaned up before you do anything else." The tom padded over to pick up the prey he had caught. "Let's get back to camp. Can you walk?" He asked, concern filled his voice.

Silverpaw chuckled as she looked at Sparrowfall. Silvermist was right. She grinned mischievously. They would never let him live this one off. Silverpaw caught sight of Silvermist's expression, she noticed something strange about the she-cat. Not wanting to appear like she was staring, Silverpaw padded down the riverbank a little. She figured she could catch a couple fish while the two had their exchanges.
