A month ago;

As Elise padded along slowly, a rustle to her left caught her attention, immediately climbing up a overhanging brush she lowered her haunches, staring in the direction where the rustle came from.
From the bushes peeked out a muzzle, and it sniffed the air cautiously before the dog appeared from the leaves.

Seeing that she was at a better advantage, Elise jumped from the branch, landing perfectly over the brute and knocking him over, canines bared and ears flattened to her neck.

"What are you doing here?" She growled.

The dog, not at all fazed, looked up in her eyes.
"I'm a loner. And I must've crossed some borders seeing how..aggressive you are." A small smirk formed on his face, annoying Elise slightly.
"You've stepped into my territory." She snarled.
"Well for that I apologise," He looked over at her paws that were planted on his chest, "Aren't you going to let me go?"

With a final snarl, she got off, watching the brute cautiously as he got up and dust himself off, his ears oddly sharp and body perfectly carved with muscles.

"Bring me to your alpha, I may have some things they'll like."

"And you bet I'll follow you everywhere you go." Elise rolled her eyes, somehow always annoyed by Rowan's charismatic nature.
He let out a soft laughter, his voice rumbling deep in his throat, "Sure."

"Where is your alpha?" asked the silky black shepherd, glancing over at the young Labrador pup. Philo jumped up slightly,
not expecting to be questioned. "Um, you mean our overseer? R-Right this way..." he led the shepherd over towards a lar
ge den, more like cave. Philo went in first, telling the male to wait for a second. He then came back out and motioned f
or him to come in. The shepherd walked inside of the den, his eyes meeting the beauceron, the overseer. Philo left the a
rea and went off to the novice den.

The beauceron came forward, looking down at the shepherd from their rocky ledge. "It appears that the ancestors have t
reated me well..." she muttered out, the shepherd face showing a smudge of confusion. "Well, what is your name?" she th
en asked with a flick of her tail. "Maverick." the shepherd simply replied. "Well, Maverick, welcome to the Deganawidah..
I expect good things from you as our surrogate..." The shepherd, Maverick, nodded subtly. "Yes, alpha."

The shepherd was just about the turn away before being stopped by Persephone's voice. "Oh, and one more thing," she be
gan, turning away for a second. "I am your overseer, not your alpha. You call me Persephone and that's all, got it?"

"Yes, Persephone."

"Also, your apprentice will be Philo, the Labrador that brought you in. I think you two will get along well, if I'm not mistaken."

the current moon's/month's happenings

The sun's shining rays flowed down to the Earth, touching the ground to give it light. It was still dawn at the time being,
and everyone else was still resting, all except for the Deganawidah - early risers of the mornings. Persephone, the overs
eer, had been awake about an hour ago, awaiting for her apprentice, Victurri to also awake from her rest. She would lik
e for her to get as much rest as she possibly could before they go out for training. The rest of them were to be awake a
ny minute now.

Persephone hobbled from the top of the ledge, falling to the stony ground on her fours like a feline mastermind. Another
canine had slid from out of their den, and was Persephone was glad to see that it was Victurri, all well-rested and energe
tic. "Victurri, are you ready for training?" the beauceron questioned, earning a nod from the novice."Well then, let us
be on our way." The two headed out of camp to do their training, soon to return in the afternoon . . .

This is our domain,
one wrong step and you're off to
the slaughterhouse

. the origin .
chaos, blood and betrayal, that is what Falinn Raddir
had fallen to. nothing left but dogs fighting tooth and
claw for alpha as anarchy reigned upon them. aion
struggling to maintain his rule and dogs that were
once his friends turned against him. as he fled
another stepped up, out of the darkness, taking
those who followed off to a new realm. she was the
new ruler, the new queen, the orderto the chaos.
those who chose not to follow where hunted down by
those who did, brought to the paws of the queen and
their fate was decided. slaughter was their sentence,
by the queens own doing, and thus they were born.
the slaughterhouse, brought up from the ashes and
finding their new ways.

. the beliefs .
these dogs are truely godless, the find no need on
falling to mythical beings for help. the only dogs that
are held with some sort of praise are the queen and
her second and third in commands. they have no
reason to believe in sin, which is all the better for
them to do so. while the dogs have no set belief in
gods, they do have rules that they follow and some
types of 'rituals'.
• the kennel often raids other unclaimed lands that
have been rumoured to have dogs living within.
during these conquests the dogs involved take any
rogue dogs captive,
and they steal any pups that were there to take as
the kennel's own.
• the queen/king is the primary ruler and should be
respected at all times. their word is law, the word
second and third in command or any high ranking
officials can always be overruled
• any dogs that have commite a crime against the
kennel shall be demoted to omega and branded
with a mark that correlates to their crime
• an act of violence or betrail against the queen is
an act against the kennel. any dogs invovled shall
be tortured and then banished with a brand to
remind them of their misdeed.
• those who wish to gain a higher rank have the
right to issue a challenge to the dog that holds that
rank, all except for the rank of queen/king. the
losing dog is required to forfeit their rank to their
challenger and must accept their demotion to the
challenger's former rank.
• the rank of heir can only be challenged for by
the queen/king's children or approved dogs
• omegas and prisoners have no right to
challenge for a higher rank.
• breedings between a member of the
slaughterhouse and a dog in another pack is
forbidden. if it is to happen the slaughterhouse lays
claim to the pups.

. the attitude .
these dogs are the epitemy of two out of seven deadly sins.
wrath and pride are their main atrributes, but they are also
known to be cruel, with questionable sets of morals and the will
to follow their queen (or whoever is leaing at the time) and her
instructions to the tee. pain and death comes knocking on the
door of those who dare to stand in their way, the latter a more
favourable option of the queen. if the queens minions fail to
deliver what she has asked they get cruel treatement by their
own kennel mates and the queen herself. they hold themselves
with pride and will not back down if another kennel challenges
them. whenever there is reason to talk about themselves they
always talk themselves up in the best way possible. they are
unable to drop their pride or let anyone show them otherwise.

. the realm .
members of the slaughter house lay claim to an abanoned
building as their main camp. the territory around them is mainly
forest, with some farmland and a part of a downtown city. they
protect their land fiercly and do not hesitate to bare teeth when
other dogs appear, threat or not. the forest is their main area for
training and hunting, the clearing one of the main spots for
training young pups. in the forest just west of the camp there is
a place known as the deadlands. here the prisoners are kept,
tied to trees with thick collars and heavy chains from the streets
that the slaughterhouse rule over. the farmland is another place
for hunting. challenges take place in the pits that are a few
hundred meters in front of the camp house. the pit is around half
a meter deep and around ten meters in diameter.

. the residents .
within the territory of the slaughterhouse, the members run the
show. these dogs are menacing and fearsome both inside and out,
with no room for the weak. only dogs that pass the mental and
physical tests are allowed to come into the walls. while you'll
find a variety of coat colours, the breeds within the pack are
fairly limited.

malinois, cane corso, american staffordshire terrier, american

[First let me apologize for the broken link. It worked when I first used it, but yet that's fine!

Seria was crouched on the ground, her eyes on prey. She was waiting for the perfect time to strike as the prey, a small bird, was pecking at the ground. From behind her, another dog with a long silky coat had appeared. He slowly approached from behind her.

"Excuse me," he said. Seria jumped and the bird flew away. She quickly spun around and faced the new dog.

"Hey! I nearly had th- oh."

"Ah, you must be Seria," he calmly said.

"Yes, that's me! Then you are... my beta? Well, what a handsome dog you are," she smirked.

"Excuse me!?" he spat.

"That was a compliment, relax. Anyway, what's your name?" she said.

"My name is Sol and yes, it appears I am your beta," he replied, his face looking more calm.

"Well, since you're here I better show you around. We should go hunting too," Seria chirped. Sol nodded and Seria led the way.

"All dogs of Falling Leaves, come to the center of camp for a feast!" Bullet howled. Immediately he spotted Lily's head pop out of the nursery, her gaze hungrily focused on the deer that laid motionless in the center of camp. The hunting patrol had successfully hunted the fiercely large prey, getting minor wounds in return. Nothing that Amour couldn't fix. Moments past until all the dogs in the camp made a circle around the dead deer, respectfully leaving a spot for Bullet to squeeze in. Sage, Mercutio, Rio, Eloise and Key, the five dogs they passed by when hunting the heavy load, reluctantly joined the circle.. They had offered to help hunt, and so Bullet had invited the five into Falling Leaves. Bullet sauntered to the place where they had saved him a gap, completely the circle. Bullet smiled, and signaled for the dogs who had helped hunt the deer to eat first. Then, the dogs who stayed back were allowed to feast on the massive prey, leaving their rumbling stomachs to rest.

Sage poked around the camp, making gruff comments about the layout and how they could improve. Eloise, who was with him, kept on muttering regrets about following Sage to herself. Sage was brave and loyal, yes, but a definite annoyance. She had gotten used to him for the most part, but the fact that Sage kept on urging Eloise to come with him made her irritated. Key had a tendency to joke that Sage liked Eloise more than a friend, but Eloise could barely process the thought of having to spend the rest of her life with Sage, out of all dogs. "Eloise?" Sage barked, snapping Eloise out of the thoughts that floated in her head. "Apologizes." Eloise bitterly mumbled, shaking her head. Sage narrowed his eyes, sighing. "Let's go back to Bullet. He said we could go on a hunting or border patrol." Sage suggested. Eloise nodded, and the two were on their way.

"Can you believe out pups are going to be Tenderpaws next month?" Boom barked enthusiastically. "Oh dear, it's only our first litter and I'm getting so old, though!" Boom added in a whine, frowning. Lily affectionately leaned against Boom sighing. "At least we had a successful litter in the first place, Boom. No stillborn pups, what more can I ask for?" Lily smiled cheerfully, lifting herself from Boom and gazing proudly at Beetle, Valentine and Pepper, who were chasing each other. Her gaze floated towards Lune, who was curiously looking at herbs in the Shaman's den. "Then next thing you know, we got three wonderful Ironteeth and the most sweetest Shaman in our pack." Lily mused. Boom's eyes softened. "You couldn't have been more accurate, love."

Bullet silently stared the the fresh-kill pile. All that laid there was a mere rabbit. After the feast with the deer, there had only been enough to feed half of the pack. He needed a hunting patrol, now. "Sage, Cadeyrn, Rio and Falcon! Go on a hunting patrol!" He barked. Instantly, the four dogs streamed into the center and waited. "Eloise, Mercutio and Ricochet, go on a border patrol!" He added. Moments after, the three dogs came into his sight. "You may now leave." Bullet murmured, but loud enough so they could hear. They walked out of camp, making the camp feel awfully quiet. Scanning the camp, he spotted Gabriel, admiring her Tenderpaw, Michelle. Bullet dashed up towards her, then skidding to a halt. "Gabriel, I'll be leaving camp to ask my ancestors for a dog. Will you take charge of the camp for now?" He asked. Gabriel nodded. "Of course, Alpha."
