His hair is a dark brown, with natural lighter streaks. It's thick and always messy. He honestly loves when people play with his hair. Like dad, he has soft brown eyes that light up when he smiles. They are a warm and rich color.
Hope's voice is a clear and strong tenor, higher than his mother and similar to his father. It is naturally loud and bright. Even when he shouts, he doesn't sound the least bit angry. He has a talent for singing that he isn't afraid to demonstrate.
Similar to his mother, Hope loves to wear athletic clothes. Anything light and comfortable to move around in. He's rather warm and doesn't have issues with wearing a t-shirt during the winter. However, he hates wearing fancy and restraining clothes, especially ties. He will find creative ways to get rid of them. Although Acacia likes wearing ties, Hope thinks of them as "neck demons" and hates them with a passion.

Both Hope's parents were optimists with unbreakable determination, and their son carries on their positive attitude. His name fits him perfectly. No matter how dark a situation becomes, he will always see the light. "Giving up" does not exist for him because he's pretty much a physical embodiment of hope. To lose hope would be worse than death. He can imagine himself dying heroically, but he can never imagine himself losing hope. It's really weird and wrong to think about.
Hope loves a good challenge and welcomes tough situations. He hates being told to sit there and look handsome. It sucks, and he never listens. He would rather throw himself headfirst into a certain failure. Losing against a stronger opponent is more fun than winning against a weaker one. He loves to compete with his friends in good spirit. He doesn't intend to hurt others' feelings though, and he will apologize if he is being too cutthroat for comfort.
He's very fun-loving and loves to laugh. When people humiliate him, he usually pretends to get angry while holding back laughter. He loves to be silly and cause some mild mischief around the place. He's the guy who "cleans up" after a food fight by eating the entire huge ridiculous mess.
Hope is incredibly passionate. This does include anger, but he directs his rage towards his enemies. He loves to hate them, if that makes sense. He's loyal as a dog, and the easiest way to provoke him is to threaten his loved ones. Then the "nice puppy" disappears and you have a guard dog going straight for his enemy's throat. Otherwise he will joke around even on the battlefield. An enemy is getting too close for comfort and screaming curses? He's gonna casually remark about his "personal space bubble" and tease about using an "indoor voice".

Hope's power of "alignment manipulation" allows him to ignore the laws of gravity. He can run up walls and across ceilings with ease. With enough focus, he can control his power and allow himself to hover in the air. This power can be temporarily shared with anyone who accepts it. Although it's completely useless against enemies, he can use it to eat breakfast on the ceiling with his buddies.
Hope has great lungs. His endless energy is one of his greatest strengths. He can run fast and far, and he never complains about having to move around. His outrageous physical stamina helps with many other things, such as singing. He also has impressive upper-body strength, which he inherited from his mother and his mother's mother before her.
Unfortunately, he got his mother's weakness of inaccuracy too. Put any ranged weapon in his hands, and he will probably impale himself in the foot. His aim is terrible, which is why he sticks to close combat with his trusty sword. He's not the sharpest spear in the drawer though, and like his mother, it's easy to outsmart him.
He is also ridiculously attached to his wooden sword he carved as a small child. He named it "Kindness" because he heard someone say "kill 'em with kindness". During a fight, he refuses to wield anything else. Either Kindness, or his bare hands. He hates to even train with other weapons because he's afraid Kindness will feel left out.

Hope was raised by his grandparents, Solara and Luno. He loved his kind and nurturing guardians, but deep down within his soul, he always felt an unquenchable thirst to fight for justice. Both his parents were renowned soldiers in the Luxen Army and Hope wanted to be just like them. He was so devoted to training, he carved his own sword out of wood. He loved to practice with his cousins and his best friend, Kelly Kareena.
His overprotective mother Acacia had strict rules on Hope's fighting career, and she had spoken to the Luxen Xyrcans about this. Until the day Hope defeated his grandparents in battle, he was not allowed to join the army. Although he was a prodigy swordsman like his father, sparring against Solara and Luno was a true challenge. His grandmother was ridiculously strong and his grandfather was ridiculously agile. Each had half a century of experience in the Luxen Army. Hope, in comparison, was just another idiotic teenage newbie.
When the fateful battle came around, Hope was still not ready. He could not defeat either one of his grandparents and was forbidden from the army as a result. Everyone was joining in. His best friend, his cousins, his parents, even his grandparents who were over eighty years old. It drove Hope mad, being told to stay at home. Of course, he rebelled against this, and sneaked out of the house with his wooden sword.
He rushed onto the battlefield, only to realize he and the Luxen Army were like lambs to the slaughter. He was immediately surrounded by enemies who laughed at the silly boy holding a stick sword. Their mockery, however, bought enough time for Acacia and Sam to come to the rescue. Hope could only stare in horrified shock as his parents shielded him from both sides, and received terrible injuries as a result. All three of them were able to strike down their assailants, but the battle was far from over.
Hope wanted to help, but his mother commanded him to get out of there, because she and his father were about to charge into the enemy's waiting weapons. They would certainly die, but not without aiding the Luxen Army to their best ability. Running away was against everything in Hope's moral code, but he knew his parents couldn't rest easy unless their only son was safe. So he obeyed their last request and ran faster than he ever had.
He later learned his parents and grandparents were dead. Along with his cousins, his friends, his classmates... The entire army was wiped out. Thanks to the Luxen Xyrcans, his best friend and mother were brought back to life along with a few others. Hope still misses his dad, his grandparents, and his other friends. He keeps an optimistic attitude though, because he is overjoyed to have Kelly and Acacia back in his life. His father would have wanted him to be happy.

Coral is ridiculously strong and looks the part. She towers above most men with a broad and muscular frame, and she has a rather deep voice that gets her gender mistaken often. Like average women in her family, she always had a flat chest and wasn't particularly curvy. Jin women typically are skinny as sticks in childhood, and as they grow, they build muscle through training. They end up being physically imposing like Coral is now. However, she did not reach this size through normal means.
Her name was once "Runt", before her death. It was appropriate because she stood at 5'1", a foot shorter than her mother. Jin women are normally extremely tall, but Runt was an exception. She was still quite muscular and impressively strong for her size. During the battle that wiped out the Luxen Army, she had to receive a new body upon her revival because the enemy had utterly destroyed the old one. Of course, she was so determined that she somehow ended up getting a 6'2" body. She was overjoyed as heck.
She looks like a typical woman of her family. Straight black hair, although hers is short and messy. Warm dark russet eyes. A tanned golden complexion. A naturally deep voice.
Coral's voice is much louder than Acacia's. Her powerful and commanding voice can fill a room. Never tell her to make a heroic speech, because she will certainly get carried away. Coral's singing voice is surprisingly pleasant though. Her deep and resonant tones are good for harmonizing, although she prefers having an epic badass solo.
She always wears athletic clothing. Tank top and shorts in the middle of a snowstorm? No problem! She loves to brag about being tough and ripped.
Probably the most important thing about Coral: She is always smiling. Apparently this new body has straight teeth, which feels weird because she's used to completely crooked teeth. You will never see Coral without a smile. If she were to stop smiling... Well, let's not think about that!

Persistent and passionate, Coral never gives up and never loses hope. There is one thing she hates most and it's a defeatist attitude. She will stop at nothing to accomplish her duty, whatever it is. Determination and optimism are characteristic traits of their entire family. They're also surprisingly compassionate for soldiers of such physical toughness. Coral is no exception; she is a typical Jin woman.
Coral has a good attitude, and she's literally always happy. Trying to upset her is asking for failure. She will laugh off most insults and play along without getting offended. Some of them she takes as compliments. Others, she straight up accepts with the biggest crooked smile on her face.
"Everyone hates you and wants you to go to hell!" You might yell at her.
"Wow! Everyone cares about me that much! Now where's this 'hell' place?" Coral would say, grinning and taking this as a complete compliment. That's just how she works.
Coral is basically a big overexcited dog. She loves humanity, she loves people, she loves everyone. She loves hugs and cuddling, and here's a weird quirk about her, she kinda loves to be pet like a puppy. She always forgets that she's now taller than everyone though. Now she has to lean down to get her head pats.
She is ridiculously courageous to the point of recklessness. She wants to be known as Coral Jin, Heroine of Everyone's Future. Her lifelong dreams consist mainly of saving lives and receiving lots of affection. Call it delusions of grandeur, but she always believed she was born for a great purpose, and her revival has cemented that into her mind. She will serve the Luxen Army with undying loyalty as she always has.

Along with the quite appropriate enhanced strength, Coral received another power she considers "super freakin awesome", quote her. She can feel the heartbeats of everyone around her. If she wanted, she could use her own willpower to modify those heartbeats, to a healthy extent. She can make them pound faster and stronger with determination, or calm them to a steadier tempo. This can strengthen her allies' resolve during a battle and provide everyone with a great sense of unity, as their hearts are now beating together. It's honestly only useful for support. Although Coral believes her strength draws from the power of everyone's beating hearts, the validity of these claims is questionable.
Coral has an extreme amount of energy. Her endurance is remarkable, and she has pretty ridiculous pain tolerance. It's probably the abnormally high amount of adrenaline she loves to live on. But when she crashes, she crashes hard, putting herself out of commission for quite a while.
It doesn't take an expert to say Coral lacks intelligence. She completely doesn't understand "concern for her own safety". Also, she can't read or write. She can kind of remember her ABC's with significant difficulty. Although she can draw pictograms to get her message across, but they usually suck. She would much rather stick to spoken words. Also, her accuracy is hilariously bad. Give her a bow and she will shoot herself in the foot. It's so bad, it looks like she's purposely trying to fail even when she's doing her best to succeed.
Coral definitely prefers physical work.

Runt was raised in a loving family, although both her parents had fiery tempers. Her entire family was in the Luxen Army, so naturally Runt would follow in their footsteps. She received physical and combat training instead of a proper education. Although her brother wanted to join the army too, he had to attend normal school.
Runt loved serving in the army. She was quite over-confident though. She and Cashew would often challenge other soldiers to partner sparring matches. They often lost because of their lack of experience and youthful stupidity. Their most embarrassing loss was against their grandparents, who were in their eighties. Solara and Luno were remarkable fighters, even on their own. It was a stupid move to challenge them as a partnership.
During the battle that changed everything, Runt fought side-by-side with her family and friends. She was unable to stop smiling even as her enemy stabbed her over and over and over. Pain? What the heck is that? The thrill of the fight was what Runt lived for, and this battle was what she waited for her entire life. Runt was quite literally ripped to shreds. Like, little smiling shreds. She died finally experiencing a real fight in all its glory.
When Runt was revived, her body was so ruined she needed another one. This new one ended up being 6'2". Acacia, as the matriarch of the Jin family, renamed her "Coral" after the Coralwood tree. A tree that thrived on hot climates and blossomed with brilliant flaming red flowers. Coral thinks that this, too, is "super freakin awesome".
