Most go by the three month rule, but the PPS, known as the Wolf PPS, is a low Main List pet.

Not sure how to post the picture since every time I try it won't work, but the pet is in my ungrouped pets. It's a small caterpillar that's black and white with splats of color and on a leaf. Not sure what year it's from or it's worth and what it will grow up to be, any information on it would be great! thanks! :)

If the re-release works like it did last year, you should be getting the rare outcome.
It goes by the three month rule, meaning it's a fair trade for another pet of the same rarity that was released within 3 months of it.

That bun is from Easter 2009, and known as the UR Butterbun. (It's not actually a "UR" pet itself, but is named that for being based off one, design wise.)

It is a Main List pet, so it goes for what's on its tier, is worth more than pets listed below it, less than the ones above, etc.
It doesn't have notable demand and can go for fair trades, though of course, popularity varies by user.
For very specific combinations of pets, you're best off getting advice on the Fair Trade Thread to figure out the gaps between your pet and what you want/are being offered. Which pets are involved in an offer matters a lot, so it's easier to judge on a case-by-case basis :)
