Anime or Manga(or both!): I usually pick the manga over the anime when the anime is not as good as the manga, or if the new season will not be released soon, or if the anime is on a hiatus since I am a very impatient person.

Favourite Character(s): I have so many favourite characters but I'm going to stick with my first favourite manga character which is Kyoko Mogami second place goes to Seras Victoria because I love strong female leads

Favourite Pairing(s): *spoiler alert* I personally wanted Naruto Uzumaki to end up with Sasuke Uchiha but I'm gonna stick with second best which is Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga

Favourite episode/chapter/arc: The arc is still ongoing in the Skip Beat manga and it's called A Lotus in the Mud.

Anything to declare: I love anything and everything that is good so I'm always open to recommendations. Also, I can get obsessed with new series because I consider myself a binge reader or 'series consumer'. I'm a big fan of fluffy works like shoujo genres or darker psychological thrillers that are in the seinen genre. However, right now I'm completely obsessed with...it's really hard to admit this but I am obsessed with yaoi.. This was mainly caused by Yuri on Ice, lol I have not read Boku No Hero Academia because I am not sure if it is worth starting, which is why I would rather hear a second opinion. Please avoid telling me spoilers if possible.

Welcome!! How I got into bnha was when I was interested in a users sig and avatar. I asked about it and thy explained it for me. Within seconds I was interested with the storyline, and watched the first episode! I'm glad I did, the plot in each arc is always interesting, and there's never filler. I know that the creator has the whole manga planned, so the ending will hopefully not be rushed and fans won't be disappointed.

I think I know what it is about but it might only be a very general view. I think some kid wants to be a hero and he becomes some real famous hero's sidekick or something. If you can explain the plot more thoroughly to me by private message or in this thread it would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if my general knowledge about the series is completely wrong because I've only seen a few clips from the anime. Thanks for the lovely welcome, it is very nice of you to do so I am also very happy to hear that there are no filler episodes.

Well, that's kind of right.^^
I won't try spoiling, only using information from the first episode
So they live in a world where people have powers, they're called quirks. You're born with them, but a small percent of people don't get one. I think it's 80% people do get quirks, and the other 20% don't. The main character, dude with green hair, Izuku Midoriya, doesn't have a quirk.

And in their world, well if you have powers, theres going to be people who use it for bad. But there's also poeple who will stand up to these "villians" and fight them off. Being a hero is like an occupation. And of course all the little kids dream of being a hero, including Izuku.

But how will someone without a power, a quirk, become a hero?

It may seem like he's a sidekick to a hero, but it's actually that the person he's with all the time (blonde hair - named all might) is a hero he looks up to!! He meets him in the first episode, and fanboys over him lol. Izuku asks him if someone like him could become a hero, and his reply is no. But because of the events of the episode, all might acknowledged him, and told him that if he tried, he could become a hero. And he helps him train for the first couple of episodes, so Izuku can get into a very popular school, called U.A, where kids can become heroes! It's the school All Might went to, so all the kids want to follow All Mights lead and go to U.A!

I hope you won't consider this a spoiler, I've only briefly covered main parts of the first episode.
