An origional Pirate roleplay---



We will never forget that day the ship pulled into dock, although many have even forgotten us by now. The black sails tainted the skies with their immense length and width, but after a few days people began to dismiss the ship. A week after the ship had pulled into dock, it vanished; along with five teenage girls, us. We were all from wealthy families, either wealthy or very beautiful, but even those factors didn’t save us. Weeks people searched, but with nothing but the wide open sea and a never nearing horizon, the expedition was discarded. Our mothers and fathers grieved, if we even had them; but soon they had to move on; and so did we, forgotten.

Once out in the middle of the ocean, away from wandering eyes we were freed from the bunkers. They were stuffy and dark, so emerging momentarily blinded us as the blazing sun cooked down on us and the fresh, salty air wafted all around us. We were confused, fightened, and tired, not to mention hungry. The only reassurance we had were the crew members, every single one were our age. We at least hadn’t been taken by those old, dirty pirates you hear about in stories; no. These pirates were again our age, ranging from sixteen to around nineteen; nineteen being oldest. We were told here the story of how we had been watched, and now were here to each perform a specific function on the ship. We were then assigned our mentor you could call him, and taught our role. At first, we didn’t object, but later some did and were punished; not as severely as the other boys were at times, but in one way or another we were. Some of us started forming escape plans, wanting nothing other than to find out way home, but some of us didn’t. This new life was better from some of us, and we didn’t object. Sure we missed our families, but they weren’t priority anymore.

Welcome to Secuestro, an origional kidnapped, pirate roleplay; hence the title which means kidnapped in spanish. The plot is written in a somewhat first person view, so here's a quick explenation of it all.

The story takes place in the 1800's, whenever pirates were actually common over the wide seas. There are five girls that have been taken from their home in the European area near a port to the Medateranean Sea. The pirates have been watching these girls for a week since they pulled into dock; studying them if you will. They need more crew members, and so they have been watching for specific qualities in these girls for their crew. Now, the odd thing is, this crew is only teenagers, and so shall the girls be. The crew has stolen these girls in the night, and have fled the port and into the open sea. Now away from any help, they are given the news that they are to be part of the crew.

Rules---

1. This roleplay IS IN ANOTHER COUNTRY THAN AMERICA, so I'd like to see a little quote here and there in a foriegn language. Just use a translater!
2. Literate only! Please be able to post about 300 words.
3. Do not fill out your form as if applying for a position. I will judge by their personality what job they shall have.
4. The girls must have either been very wealthy, or very poor but beautiful; no middle class here.
5. Tess's rules apply here; just like everywhere on the site
6. Maximum of two charries to start. You may only play one girl! If I see you are keeping up with your charries nicely, and posting well, this may be tweaked.
7. If you have a question, PM me! Do not complain to everyone else.

The Code---

1. Captains orders are orders, not suggestions. Anyone who does not follow them will be punished.

The Basic Structure of a Ship---

Crew Positions---

Captain---
A captain navigates the ship and controls the crew. He/she has excellent navigation skills and knowledge of mapping and the sea.

Co-Captain/First Mate---
This crew member is the captains right hand man. He/she may assist in numerous way, a few being giving orders, navigating, and even taking over if the captain is dead or injured.

Quartermaster---
The quartermaster is the second-in-command of the First Mate. If the captain is killed, the quartermaster will become First Mate. While a quartermaster he/she serves as basically an extra First Mate, but helps out around the ship unlike one.

Chef---
This crew member just provides food. He/she cooks and sorts rations.

Scout---
This crew member sit at the top of the tower all day, just looking out for anything really. He/she will alert the captain of anything on the horizon; such as a ship, island, and etc.

Boatswain---
This crew member is responsilbe for maintenance and repair of the hull, rigging, lines, cables, sails, anchors, and etc. They also are the most numerous and important to a ship. They are responsible for following orders and moving the sails as instructed, and fighting in confrontation in addition.

Gunner---
There are only one or two of these crew members. They act as a sniper if needed, and shoot long range on the spot at any moment.

Bently is a very good looking, tall boy that is about 5'11" and 152lbs. thanks to a perfect amount of muscle he has. He has blonde hair that is a little darker than average, even darker on the top and lighter as the color works it's way to his ends. Bent has deep, dark ocean blue eyes that hold a depth that many people can't seem to fathom, which makes his eyes one of his most noticeable and best traits. He has an average build, but many would say muscular rather that average. He has a lot of muscle actually packed on, it just appears less because it is carefully toned to keep him from appearing bulky.
History:
Bently's life has always revolved around the open sea, flapping flags of a ship, and the sight of a horizon that never ends. He was born on land, but he didn't stay there long. Once he was able to be taken from the hospital he had been born in, his parents took him to sea. They were pirates, tough and demanding of their crew much like Bently himself; he had been raised that way after all. His parents were no onlder than he is now; both 19. He had an older brother at the time, age 16, and when his parents turned twenty the ship was left to his sibling whom was the age of 17. His parents had an odd rule about the ship, being that once they had kin amoung the ship old enough to take their place, they must leave an join an older crew. They claimed it was some rule, curse if you will, that if you didn't give the ship to your kin by the time you had reached retiring age, you would wander the seas even after death. Bent discards this though, and doen't plan on giving up the ship out of pure stobborn-ness. What would his life be not on the sea, even after death? Nothing. Exactly...
His brother practically raised him; making him work though all the ranks from Powder Monkey to First Mate. He always said a Captain wasn't truely a good captain unless he knew what each job was like, and Bently still lives by this advice; making sure all of his First Mate's go through each phase of the Crew. Once Bently turned 16, his brother was well beyond the retiring age, but with reason since Bent had not been able to take over until the age of 16 anyways. Bently was then handed over the ship, never to see his brother again after that day he was left on land. He still hold on to the hope of meeting his brother again someday, even though he knows it is very unlikely. For the moment he run's his ship tight and tidy as he was taught, and is one with frivilous ideas such as the one he hatched to capture the six girls he has on board.
Personality:
In front of his crew, Bently is nothing other than what you would expect of a captain; tough, headstrong, and most importantly expecting. He expects orders to be follwed, and thouroughly completed. He's tough when it comes to keeping everyone in line, and would in no case hesitate to pull out a whip to get his point across. This is often Bent's last resort though, being rather fair and equal along with peaceful if controvercy is able to be avoided. As mentioned before, headstrong is the perfect is the perfect word to describe him. Bent is totally hot headed and thinks way to highly of himself, but most guys, even ones that aren't a captain of a ship, are. He's very straight forawrd and charming, one of those guys that is really smoothe with his words and seems to always know the right things to say in multiple situations. He can be rather demanding, and at times perhaps too expectant, which is what his First Mate is there for; to keep him in check. Bently is very confidant, and is found to be somewhat of a showoff because of this. Besides his cruel and showy nature of being a pirate, let along captain, Bent can be very sweet and caring. He's very protective over people he's close to, and finds himself insecure over leaving them along without a watchful eye. He can be very flirty and actually romantic, but it takes some time to burrow through his tough walls of sarcams and uneasy trust.

Brief Description:
Sam is a shaggy boy with a well toned body. One has to be though, to be a pirate (or so you'd think). Sam's eyes are a piercing green that are sometimes hidden under his shaggy light brown hair. His features are well defined on his face, rather sharp and rugged looking. But one shouldn't expect more from a teenage boy that had to grow up before he could talk. Aside from his facial features, the skin on Sam's palms is rough and callused from all his work, though not taxing. Just tedious.
History:
Sam grew up with the worst of it all; abusive, poor parents. To them, Sholto was the dirt in the house, to be swept away like, well, dirt. Sam's mother would drink nearly every moment of her life and when she did, she tended to scream and yell, calling Sam by his birth name. Sam learned to hate that name because it signaled an on coming storm of beating.
While his mother was a drunk, his father just didn't care. He'd would sit on the couch, smoking, and hear his son screaming out for help and in pain and simply shrug it off. Growing up with several dogs, Sam learned to live with them rather then inside. Inside he got treated like dirt and beat to near death. Outside he felt welcome and warmth.
But, like any other abusive child, Sam ran away at the age of seventeen. Sam had always seen the ships that past by, for his house was rather close to the shore line, and dreamed of one day sailing. So he ran to the best place he could think of, the docks. There Sam saw things he'd never dreamed of; men as drunk as hogs, women dressed in nearly nothing, and pirates.
So, for the year before Sam found his ship, he learned to drink like the rest and be a real man. He found himself with alcohol in his hand almost 24/7 and a woman at his side nearly as long.
Personality:
Sam is quick to speak and quick to tell the truth. He doesn't really care about feelings, so long as they aren't his and he rarely helps anyone out in a fight or tough situation. He'd rather place bets on a fight then be caught in it. This doesn't mean Sam doubts himself, it's actually the exact opposite. Sam feels that if he got into a fight, he'd beat the other guy so hard they couldn't stand or see straight.
When not around violence or alcohol, Sam is a rather cheery person; always singing random tunes, or strolling along the ship's deck holding conversations with other crew members. He hates being locked down below the ship, always cooking, and loves to be around other people. But the moment someone pushes Sam in even the slightest degree, his fuse blows. His temper blows quick and he gets violent rather... quickly.

Name: Cain
Breed: Great Dane / Lab mix. It's rather evident, but Sholto's given up on trying to pin his exact breed.
Appearance: Cain is a white dog with flecks of black though his front right leg is entirely black aside from his toes and the right side of his face is pitch black. The dog reaches most men's hips giving him the looks of a great dane, though his face gives more of a lab impression. More often then not Cain is wearing a snarl on his chops.
Personality: Cain likes Sholto and Sholto alone. The dog sticks to his legs like glue and to anyone that dares look at his master wrong gets snapped out. Cain is a very obedient, stern, loyal dog. To some it seems like Sholto brought a body guard on the ship with him, in the form of a dog.
While on the ship, Cain is always a serious dog, glued to Sholto's leg, but when off-ship or in Sholto's kitchen, he transforms. He becomes a small, whiny, innocent mass of fur that'll roll around at Sholto's feet, begging for attention and play.

Cassidy is a tall and slender girl, about 5"9. She had very pale skin upon joining being kidnapped onto this ship, as she is from a weathly English family, and pale skin is a sign of elegance and wealth. However, being on the ship in the open ocean is bringing out her light tan skin, to her astonishment. She has never weighed herself, but is believed to be between 145-150 lbs. She has bright intelligent blue eyes, and silky blonde hair. She has a lightweight white gown, with white lace around the neckline. History: Cassidy had things handed to her throughout her short life. She had several indentured sevants that waited her on hand and foot. Her parents were weathly farmers who owned cotton and tobacco plantations in the Americas, around Georgia. They owned a large estate in Hertfordshire with a large stable of horses, some sires to the Queen and Kings' horses. In fact, she was on a vacation with her younger sister Elizabeth in the Mediteranean when she was kidnapped. Until the day of her kidnapping, Cassidy was a prominent women in her society, about to be wed to a rich buisinessman in York. To be honest, she quite despised him, but it would increase her parents' wealth and join together two important English families, so she was happy to oblidge. She was well-educated and charismatic, able to dance elegantly at ballrooms yet prove English buisnessmen wrong in politics. Her whole life she was told to do this and do that, and to be quite honest, Cassidy was sick of it. She did not want to be a proper woman, but it seemed like that was the life destined for her... right?
Personality:
Cassidy is generally a sweet girl, if you have money. She is known for her wonderous manners, and calm disposition, but that is all a cover up. Cassy is very strong-minded, and is very "manly" in the sense she is strong and educated. She's proud of her family history, her pure English blood, and is not afraid to brag about it. She is cheery at home and absolutely adores children, but is disapproving and judgemental of lower-class or poor people. If you get on her bad side, she is cruel and has this cold indifference to torturing anyone she dislikes. Sometimes she comes across as conceited and vain for her pride and beauty. She is brave despite her tendency to show fear, or freeze up in fearful situations. If her friends need her, she will always be there... even if she doesn't help them in the end.
