Dec 18th - Discussion/Show off your pets

Every 18th I get so worked up hoping for a list pet that sometimes I overlook the other, less sought after pets. At first I was a little disappointed with my spider, but I think he's finally beginning to grow on me:

I may not have always gotten the most valuable pets on the 18th, but each one is special in that it's kind of like stepping back into CS history. I didn't join till 2011, so I'm glad those of us younger members have this chance to watch some of the oldest pets on CS grow.

This is such a great attitude to have! I have to admit - my most disappointing years have been the ones where I didn't get to see pets grow up! I really love getting things like old rare bunnies - but there's nothing quite like getting to see a pet grow that you weren't even around for the first time!
Plus spiders are pretty hard to come by these days - so that's an extra cool find. :)

It's pretty cool to have the chance to get something super valuable - but then I think back to just how long ago 2009 was - I can't share, of course, but I think about what grade in school I was in at that time and how I didn't even know about CS yet. Now I'm graduated from college and we're jumping back in time to those days where I didn't even know what I was going to do in my future!

For me it's kinda surreal to click Adopt and then POOF older pets appear! Suddenly I feel like I'm a little kid again (when I get 2008/2009/2010 pets) and wow life was different back then. Now I get to watch these old pets grow again on my own account--except now I'm an adult and watching pets grow on CS is different now than it was 7+ years ago, somehow

And then for me in particular... since I went on hiatus April 2010 to August 2011, adopting anything in that timeframe is almost like a new experience for me haha

Adopting the older horses and ponies on the new linearts is also a really interesting experience since I was around to adopt a lot of them on the old linearts.

List pet one is Sugar Plum, the Galaxy Dog of unknown eye color.



List pet two is Gin-G-Bread, the Cake Dog. I'm just calling him Gingy for short.

I’m so happy I was able to trade for this little guy! ;u; Does anyone else have a Malk Dragon egg, and what are you hoping it grows into?
I also just realized that I got Cake Dogs two years in a row. Nick Cake Dog last year and a normal Cake Dog this year. :’D

Sadly didn't get a new ur but theres always next year.

I got a rat, a 2017 rabbit with bad designs who ended up being rare and a Halloween unknown.
Looking at all the other pets make me feel bad.
It's nice to have free rares, but darn it! I hate rats, and 2017 rares aren't even good.

- can someone cheer me up? I'd like to be cheered up a little by someone,really. Maybe someone knows their rarity?-
