There was only half an hour until the game would start, and he still hadn't seen his girlfriend. No worries, he thought to himself, I'll just cheer for her as loud as I can. More people began filing into seats, and a loud chatter grew through the rows.

Devyn finally finished changing into her outfit. She wore black shorts and a white short sleeve shirt with the number 4 on the back. The opposing team had already gone out and got into position, and it was now their turn. Her team came out while the crowd cheered or booed. She got into position and waited for the referee to blow the whistle, meanwhile everyone stayed silent.

The players finally filed out and took their places on the shiny court, already in the position for bumping the ball. August watched closely as the referee guestured with his hand and went to blow the whistle, starting the game.

Devyn was watching the girl on the other team spoke the ball. She threw it up in the air and hit it hard, sending it to her own teams side. Some girls leapt into the air to stop it and Devyn slid onto the ground, blocking it from making contact with the ground. The girls on Devyn’s team cheered for a bit before continuing with the game and the people cheering for them cheered as well.

Some of the girls were very athletic and pretty, but he mainly kept his eyes on Tiffany. He watched as she spiked the ball and followed the ball, but stopped when he saw who it came to. The girl was on the other team, but there was something about her when she slid down to the ground to bump the ball and hit it over the net. August sat up and continued to look at the other team some more, clapping softly. They were good players.

Devyn put her hands together and hit the ball, sending it to another person on her team, the other person then sent it over the net and hit the ground, giving Devyn’s team a point. “Wooh!”, she cheered, jumping up and down.

She's good, he thought to himself and clapped more for her. August earned some glares and rude mutters from the people rooting for the home team, but at this point he didn't care anymore.
