salmonstar ducked his head and entered the dark and dreary den of the old, former loner. He hadn't had much time to visit and spend with the old loner, and wanted to get more acquainted with him. "Hello Barkfang, how's the den?" The old loner yawned and raised his head, "Full o' ticks! Aren't ya supposed to take care of me an' me creakin' bones ya mouse-brain!" Salmonstar sighed, "We just got a new apprentice that's job will be to take care of you. I'm sure he'll love to come and take care of your problems..."

Salmonstar stood there for a second, before turning to leave the den, but Barkfang interrupted his leave, "It's leaf-down salmonstar & although we have enough food now, some may not survive. I wish you good luck." Salmonstar flicked his ear in response, and padded out of the den, a determination set about him.

"You are such a crowfood eater! It was just a joke!" Yelled Scorchscream.

"You have got so many bee's in your brain right now! I cannot believe that I even tried to be nice to you! Ugh!" She ran along the trail towards camp, her paws pounding the floor in step with her heart beat.

"Oh yeah! When were you ever trying to be nice! Flea brain!"

Heronstride screamed and spun on a dime, glaring at Scorchscream as she did so. "You fox-hearted, fuzz-brain, snake-tongued pain in the tail! Leave me alone!" She paused and added, "Forever!"

He took a step back, eyes wide, he'd really done it now! "Heron-"

She hissed at him, "No!" And ran into camp, leaving Scorchscream sitting there, wondering why she was so mad about a little prank. Her fur would be fine.

Farley stood in front of the stone of truth, his large, bulky frame shivered in anticipation. He had been told that the stone would tell whether or not he could be a warrior when he was older. He wanted to take the test now, and not when he was practiced. Salmonstar glided to the top, and stood, waiting for all the clan members to gather around and welcome him into the clan. Farley had traveled here with Mamba, his salty friend, and Ibis, his sweet friend. Mamba wasn't too sure about clan life yet, but was willing to join because he wanted to. Ibis was dead set on joining, she had caught the eye of a tom in the clan, and loved the attention he poured on her, and she wanted to be with him.

Salmonstar cleared his throat, and started to speak, "Mamba and Ibis, you have been welcomed to the clan, and have passed the test from the stone of truth. We welcome you both into the clan as a full warriors, but," He paused to glance around at his clan, "You need a warriors name! From this day forth you will be known as Mambaquake and Ibisthroat!!"

Salmonstar waited for the clan to stop congratulating them, "Farley, you are 6 moons old, and want to be welcomed into the clan as an apprentice. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Phantompaw. Your mentor will be Wolffrost. I hope Wolffrost will pass down all he knows to you."

Salmonstar turned toward Wolffrost, "Wolffrost, I know that in your former life you were a leader, and then a warrior. You have received great training from the ancestors as well as your clanmates. You are ready to have an apprentice. You have always been steady and intelligent, and I hope you pass down these traits to Phantompaw."

The clan rose up and began to cheer, "MAMBAQUAKE, IBISTHROAT, PHANTOMPAW, MAMBAQUAKE, IBISTHROAT, PHANTOMPAW!"

)

Patchstar lifted her head out of the Moonpool sleepily, looking around. She jumped in surprise and turned around, ready to defend herself, when she heard the crunching of leaves. “Who’s there?” she cried, looking around. She relaxed a little when another cat’s mew came from some nearby bushes.
“I don’t know, who’re you?” meowed a deep voice. A silver tabby stepped out from the bushes, licking his paws. He appeared to have just eaten something. He had dark amber eyes, light grey fur, and dark grey, almost black, stripes.
“Well.. I’m Patchstar, the leader of Fernclan,” Patchstar replied, licking her chest fur carefully.
“Ah, you’re the one I was sent to. My name is Lynxstorm, a pleasure to meet you. According to Starclan, I am to be your deputy, correct?” he asked, eyeing Patchstar.
“I suppose so. Shall we go on a patrol then, Deputy?”

Patchstar and Lynxstorm go on hunting patrol.

weather: leaf-bare.
it has stopped snowing, thank starclan! the snow is so deep that the tallest cats are struggling to get through it. be careful out there! it may not be wise to train apprentices, and prey and herbs will be extremely hard to find. hardly any creature will be daring enough to venture out in this, so don't be surprised if your patrol does not return with a new clan-mate.

"It is very great to see you again, brother." meowed Swiftstar, offering the tom a slight
genuine smile. "And it is great to see you too, Swiftleap, or now I should say, Swiftstar."
he murmured softly, returning the smile with a larger one. Fleetfoot watched intently
with a small grin pressed against her face, along with Jadefang copying the same expre
ssion. "You wish to join JayClan? I hope so." Bluestripe glanced over at the she-cat, thin
king about her offer before speaking. "Yes, I would love to..."

Currently
The day went on as an ordinary day, only with the exception that Bluestripe, Swiftstar's
brother, was now apart of the clan. The mottled she-cat was stirred from her slumber b
y the soft murmuring of someone, she glanced up at whoever it was with a drowsy expre
ssion clear on her face. Her brother stood in the opening of her den, looking at her with
his usual wide-eyed look. "Swiftstar?" he meowed out softly with a flick of his tail, he ha
d just now noticed that she was now awake. "Are you ready to go on patrol?" Swiftstar l
et out a obnoxious yawn before simply nodded. She slowly made her way out of her den
and followed Bluestripe to meet the other two felines, Fleetfoot and her brother, Jadef
ang. The four them all made their way out of camp to go on a patrol, leaving Blazeheart
behind as usual. The medicine cat had been already awake, grooming himself in the ope
ning of his den, observing them all with his reptilian orbs. He let out a sigh as he finishe
d his grooming session, heading out after them and taking another direction. He started
his search for more herbs, hoping that he could find more than last time.

Leafbare
The trees have become bare, and the days have grown short. The air is cold and crisp, and the sky is cloudy. It won't be long 'till the snow begins to fall now and prey has become scarce as they are tucked inside a nice warm den of their own. Predators and stray cats are also less likely as well as they try to brace the season themselves.

Timberstar's heavy paws buried deep into the concave, white wonderland.
His nose took in the bone-chilling scent that filled his nostrils, his thick pelt
heaving with the every step that he took, puncturing the snowy path before
him. This was going to be the building grounds of his home, much to the new
ly appointed leader's pride. The large mountains that hung over the view glis
tened in the evening sunlight, as it barely sewed through the thick clouds ov
erhead, followed by a stream tainted by the harsh winter, and tall fir trees t
hat seemed to guide him along the way. "Alright," Timberstar mewed, his tone
hustled by the crisp air that filled his lungs. "Now it's time to find our members."

"Smokefur's cough is getting worse."

"What should we do?"

"I..." There was a note of hesitation. "I don't know."

"But you're Dustleaf for a reason, aren't you?"

"I've been trying and trying. I don't know what I'll do if..."

"Stay strong, sis. Stay strong."

"To help our new allies in their war," Honeystar announced, suppressing a cough, "I have sent four of our cats to help. Our allies have promised to feed and care for them while they stay." A rumble of discontent echoed through the crowd. Cherryclaw had already led her patrol to the rendezvous earlier that day, leaving them free from accusations. That didn't save Honeystar, of course.

"How is it our business?" called Swancloud.

"What'll happen to Smokefur?" yelled Gannetstorm.

"I thought Forestclan was built on peace, not war," said Shellfur, voice echoing.

As his clanmates shouted, Oakheart smiled grimly. Surely when he rid the clan of Honeystar and her incompetent followers, the clan would see how fit he was to be leader, especially when he led Forestclan into a new age of peace and prosperity.

"Honeystar's got it too."

"She'll be alright."

"That's what Boulderpelt told me."

"She's right. Look, Honeystar's strong. And doesn't she have lives to spare?"

"Not as many as when the clan was new. Smokefur, can you hear me?"

Opening her eyes is too painful so she nods, a tiny movement.

"Stay strong, you hear me? It'll be okay. We'll figure this out."

"So Adderclan couldn't go through with it after all?" jeered Scorchpelt. "Cowards." He snorted and Mila gasped.

"Don't be so rude!" she said, swiping at Scorchpelt's head. "If they found a peaceful solution, better for them."

Scorchpelt looked down and his ears twitched, the only sign of his shame. He knew that it was wrong to tease Cherryclaw and her patrol for having come back without seeing battle, only Oakheart had been telling him and some of the younger cats that if one went to a battle, backing out of it was shameful. Oakheart had also talked about how Honeystar and Birchnose were ineffective leaders; while Forestclan had finally moved back to their camp after moons out of it, they had gone through a fire, losing cats to drowning, and now this illness that Dustleaf seemed unable to cure. While Scorchpelt had only known Honeystar's rule, he had cautiously agreed with Oakheart. Honeystar was kind-hearted, yes, but a gentle nature didn't save them from disaster.

"I guess," he said sullenly.

All was going according to plan. Oakheart had talked to some of the younger cats born into the clan and found them to mostly agree with him. Of course, he hadn't proposed to become their leader; no, that would take longer. What he needed to do was erode Honeystar's support and force Birchnose to step down. Maybe he'd be able to let her live, that way. Or no. Birchnose was too perceptive. She had to go, and soon.
