I hope I get something which is worth enough to be traded for one of my expensive wishlist pets from the shop.
And actually I still hope there will be something like a CS shop pet re-release someday, because some of these become ridiculously hard to get, their value just goes up like crazy because there are never new ones released.

They do actually rerelease some of the oldest store pets!

A CS shop release would lower their rarity by like all of their worth. I HIGHLY doubt they’ll ever do that. They’re called dreamies for a reason! And I wish you the best of luck!

One year there was a glitch and store pets were released. Since then they haven't been in the boxes. I'm guessing this is to preserve the rarities of the pets and because store pets cost money and releasing them for free wouldn't really be fair.

We had a pretty extensive discussion of store pet rereleases here, if you'd like to read through that thread; due to posts we found from Tess from a few many years ago + a recent help ticket answer from Nick, that discussion thread was turned into a suggestion thread for something a little different

IN fact I never said they should be released "for free". I thought more of a store event where they could be available again for a bit more CS than originally and maybe a limited amount of time.

But constantly new users register and basically, the newer you are, the harder it is to get such a pet. Re-releasing "real money" pets would maybe not be fair to the people who bought them back then or traded and arm and a leg for them, but this is not fair either.

Wait what?? Who told you this?????? I've been active for years and I've never seen store pets rereleased besides the mistake in 2010

You have to EARN IT. You can’t just buy everything! If you really want it you’ll find a way to get it. But simply buying them is out of line. If a spoiled rich kid came on here and bought every rereleased pet and bragged about how rare they were, how would you feel?

On the other hand, maybe releasing capsules/gift cards that give you specific pets would be okay.

This is false. Store pets are not released on the 18th.

Also it would probably be best to move all 18th related discussion to the casual chat thread ^^
