Padding back to the den Elise kept a close watch on the intruder's back, he was tall, lean, and even more muscular than she was, but if what he had claimed was true..perhaps alpha would let him join the kennel. And what's more, he could easily take down Elise..but he didn't.

As they approached the den, Noctis appeared from the opening of the cave, eyes darting to the newcomer before his ear flattened and fangs beared,
"Alpha, the dog claims he wants a place in the kennel."

Hearing Elise, he slowly approached the lean looking dog, sniffing and looking at him all over.
"Words are lies. But we'll see what he can do."

Territory: The Mount Willow Tree kennel live up on a somewhat small mountain. Its name comes from a single willow tree that somehow grew there. The camp of the kennel is in a large cavern in the side of the mountain. The terrain is rocky and dogs need to have a firm grip on the ground otherwise they may injure themselves. It can also get chilly at times. When it's really chilly the dogs of the kennel huddle close to keep each other warm, like what penguins do. At the bottom of the mountain is a large forest filled with prey mostly all year. However, the journey down there is a rough and time consuming one so they don't travel here often. Luckily for the dogs, the mountain has its own smaller forest which is where they hunt and gather herbs. The mountain also has small bushes here and there which are perfect to hide in if its needed.

Nature and personality's: Dogs in Mount Willow Tree are generally very kind and caring. They do not like to fight and only fight if its to protect themselves. They would rather sort out any confrontation with words. They are down to earth dogs who are helpful towards each other and any other dogs they may come across. The kennel's motto in life is to "go with the flow" which means they accept whatever comes their way and believe that it is just what the ancestors and gods intended. They believe it is wrong to challenge fate and whatever happens is how their lives are made out to be. Despite always have a firm grip on the ground, they can be rather skittish dogs that are easily spooked. They have to keep a watch on their surroundings at all times as one wrong step or sudden attack could leave them injured or falling to their deaths.

Breeds: All dogs are welcome in Mount Willow Tree but they are certain characteristics that have a greater advantage. As it can get cold, long fur is beneficial as smooth haired dogs get cold easily and may not be able to hunt at times. Long fur can protect them from the chilly winds and are able to hunt no matter the weather (unless there is a storm of course). Smaller dogs may also find it hard to move around the mountain as there is many steep steps and large rocks to walk on. Large and medium dogs have long legs that help them climb and get to where they need to go with no trouble.

Falcon and Bullet trotted back into camp, a dog cautiously trailing behind. Ricochet was first to notice as he dashed towards the dog and started aggressively growling at the strange dog. "Calm down, Ricochet. This is Cadeyrn, and he brings us no harm." Bullet introduced sternly. "Alpha! He was caught eating a bird in our territory! They obviously should be punished!" Falcon growled, pulling his lips back into a low snarl. Bullet glared at Falcon without saying anything. "He'll be accepted in our pack. After all, he did catch that bird himself and those wings, birds are quite a struggle to catch, and it shows that he's not like those soft dogs who eat disgusting mush." Bullet declared, Falcon tentatively nodding his head. Ricochet gave Cadeyrn a bitter look, but barked nothing. "Ricochet, since you're here, why don't you show Cadeyrn around?" Bullet asked, making Ricochet widen his eyes in surprise for a half a heartbeat. "Of course, Alpha." Ricochet sighed obediently, dipping his head as well. Ricochet signaled Cadeyrn to follow, and the two sauntered off.

"Lily, have you noticed yet that Lune has a tendency to hang around the Shaman's den?" Boom questioned, half paying attention to Pepper and Valentine who were playfully wrestling each other, as Beetle watch with thrill. "Boom, I watch everything my babies are doing. Lune seems to be a pup that'd be a Shaman one day." Lily replied, smiling as she glanced over at the Shaman's den, where Lune curiously poked at the herbs. "The thing is, her littermates barely play with her. They seem to be rather intimidated by Amour, and most likely puzzled upon the fact that Lune shows no fear when entering the Shaman's den." Boom sighed, getting a glimpse of Amour's sleek black fur. "Try saying that when Lune and Amour are saving our pup's lives." Lily mused, pride glinting in her eyes. Boom narrowed his eyes but sighed. "I guess that's true." He murmured, staring down at the small sprouts of grass around his feet. Lily's eyes softened. "And they'll be saving our lives too."

Amour was admittedly surprised at the fact there was already a pup as interested in herbs as Lune. But that wasn't a bad thing, either. Lune was constantly bothering him about questions about herbs, but she seemed to remember his answers clearly. Falling Leaves will be a strong pack if we have two Shamans. Amour thought, cracking the slightest smile. "Lune," Amour called out in his usual gruff voice. "I'm going to search for herbs later today. You want to come?" He asked, and almost instantly Lune's eyes lit up with enthusiasm. "Of course!" Lune exclaimed, nodding her head vigorously. Amour couldn't help but laugh. "All right youngster, all right, we have to ask your parents first." Amour barked, getting up to ask. Lune, though, sprinted to her parents and excitedly asked. To Amour's surprise, Lily shook her head. Lune frowned and bounded back to Amour. "Mom says I'm too young." Lune whined. Amour frowned, but nodded. "I'll go find herbs then. I can tell you their uses, then. But when you're older, I bet Lily with have to say yes."

"Cadeyrn, Falcon and I will go on a hunting patrol." Bullet announced. Cadeyrn and Falcon made their way to Bullet, nodding. "Ricochet and Gabriel, you can train your Tenderpaws toady." Bullet added, his gaze flitting from Ricochet to Gabriel. They both nodded in reply, calling for their Tenderpaws. Once all the dogs were ready, they trotted off.

The Pack of Northern Lights

Territory
The territory that makes up the Pack of Northern Lights resembles the landscapes of Finland, Norway, or even Narnia if one had an eye for fantasy. The forests are lush and expansive, consisting of hundreds of wildlife and large lakes that are known to ice over for long periods of time. Seasons and colors are constantly changing, and the winter is known for being unforgiving. Snow piles several feet high, with nights consisting of rainbow ribbons dancing across the sky.

Nature
Kindness, Determination, and Teamwork as the most important traits belonging to the Pack of Northern Lights. These dogs are known for their effort and desire to work together in order to get things done. It is rare that a dog would go anywhere on it's own, as even the leader will bring a companion with them when they travel to speak to their ancestors. They are not one for war or fighting, and would much rather play games with strangers they meet than be hostile.

Traditions
Given that the Pack of Northern Lights is generally laid back, they don't have very many traditions, as they make things up as they go. The Alpha and the Shaman both use the northern lights to channel energy and messages towards their ancestors, and will often speak to them when the lights are present. If they are seeking answers, they will often look to the sky in hopes that the lights are shining. The Shaman is particularly gifted at decoding the dancing colors and what they mean. Another tradition, specifically for tenderpaws, is the Ice Walk. When a tenderpaw is close to moving up in rank, they will have to prove themselves by successfully crossing a frozen lake, walking over the ice. The Pack of Northern Lights has to deal with ice constantly, and they need dogs who can lead the way across frozen water without creating a disaster. If a tenderpaw successfully makes it across the ice, they become Ironteeth.

Sunny slowly trotted along the border, Woody faithfully at her side. “So...” Woody started, “I was wondering if I could talk to you.” Woody had began to drag his paws slightly. “Of course! But hold that thought a second,” Sunny put her nose to the ground, sniffing around. “Hey, do you smell what I smell?” Sunny turned her head inquisitively. Woody sniffed around a moment, then nodded. “Smells like pups.” Sunny nodded at him, and they began to run, attempting to find the cause of the smell. They soon came upon two small pups, panting from exhaustion. “Who are you?” Sunny asked calmly, as soon as the pups had spotted her. “None of your beeswax!” The smaller grey and white one yelped. “Yeah, none of your- actually, may I ask who’s asking?” The larger black and white one asked. “Of course!” Sunny said gently. “I’m Sunny, the alpha of the kennel of the shining suns. Now may I ask who you are?” The black one yelped, “Sorry mam, I’m Blitz, former tenderpaw of the Valiant Storms.” The other pup sat silently until Blitz quickly nudged him. “And, uh, I’m Jay.” He barked quickly. “Nice to meet you.” Sunny smiled. “Are you all alone? You’re welcome to come back to our camp.” Concern flashed on Sunny’s face. “Yes please!” Both pups barked in unison. Quickly, all four dogs ran back to camp. Jesse and Daisy had already retired from hunting, and had brought back to squirrels. “We found some tenderpaws!” Sunny chirped happily as she entered the camp. Quickly she turned back to Jay and Blitz. “You see that white dog over there? Go to him. He’s Oak, our Shaman. He’ll check you out to see if you have any injuries.” The pups nodded and ran away. Turning back to Woody, she asked, “You can Hit me with that question now.” Woody eyes drifted to the ground “It was nothing. We can talk about it later.”

Territory: The Mount Willow Tree kennel live up on a somewhat small mountain. Its name comes from a single willow tree that somehow grew there. The camp of the kennel is in a large cavern in the side of the mountain. The terrain is rocky and dogs need to have a firm grip on the ground otherwise they may injure themselves. It can also get chilly at times. When it's really chilly the dogs of the kennel huddle close to keep each other warm, like what penguins do. They would rather sort out any confrontation with words. They are down to earth dogs who are helpful towards each other and any other dogs they may come across. The kennel's motto in life is to "go with the flow" which means they accept whatever comes their way and believe that it is just what the ancestors and gods intended. They believe it is wrong to challenge fate and whatever happens is how their lives are made out to be. Despite always have a firm grip on the ground, they can be rather skittish dogs that are easily spooked. They have to keep a watch on their surroundings at all times as one wrong step or sudden attack could leave them injured or falling to their deaths.

Breeds: All dogs are welcome in Mount Willow Tree but they are certain characteristics that have a greater advantage. As it can get cold, long fur is beneficial as smooth haired dogs get cold easily and may not be able to hunt at times. Long fur can protect them from the chilly winds and are able to hunt no matter the weather (unless there is a storm of course). Smaller dogs may also find it hard to move around the mountain as there is many steep steps and large rocks to walk on. Large and medium dogs have long legs that help them climb and get to where they need to go with no trouble.

The territory that makes up the Pack of Northern Lights resembles the landscapes of Finland, Norway, or even Narnia if one had an eye for fantasy. The forests are lush and expansive, consisting of hundreds of wildlife and large lakes that are known to ice over for long periods of time. Seasons and colors are constantly changing, and the winter is known for being unforgiving. Snow piles several feet high, with nights consisting of rainbow ribbons dancing across the sky.

Nature
Kindness, Determination, and Teamwork as the most important traits belonging to the Pack of Northern Lights. These dogs are known for their effort and desire to work together in order to get things done. It is rare that a dog would go anywhere on it's own, as even the leader will bring a companion with them when they travel to speak to their ancestors. They are not one for war or fighting, and would much rather play games with strangers they meet than be hostile.

Traditions
Given that the Pack of Northern Lights is generally laid back, they don't have very many traditions, as they make things up as they go. The Alpha and the Shaman both use the northern lights to channel energy and messages towards their ancestors, and will often speak to them when the lights are present. If they are seeking answers, they will often look to the sky in hopes that the lights are shining. The Shaman is particularly gifted at decoding the dancing colors and what they mean. Another tradition, specifically for tenderpaws, is the Ice Walk. When a tenderpaw is close to moving up in rank, they will have to prove themselves by successfully crossing a frozen lake, walking over the ice. The Pack of Northern Lights has to deal with ice constantly, and they need dogs who can lead the way across frozen water without creating a disaster. If a tenderpaw successfully makes it across the ice, they become Ironteeth.
