Alice laughed lightly with a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of her head. "Big power, huh?" she asked... "Guess you can say that about my family, but I dunno if that necessarily applies to myself... Considering from the sounds of it that you're a champion, though, you're probably one of the few with the biggest power on this boat."
She then looked back at the two playing pokemon with a small smile. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to show off my pokemon as soon as we get off... I'm kinda used to showing them off by now since I've won my share of beauty contests."

Light landed on Cubone's eyes, and she tossed and turned trying to sleep in a bit longer. After a while, she gave up and decided to hunt for some food. She waddled out of her small cave and searched a berry bush.

After awhile longer, Haxourus and Empoleon went back to Kif. Lukily he hadn’t caught them wandering off, since he was fast asleep. Lucario gave the two a questioning glance, but nothing more. At this point Suicune had dozed off as well, compforted by the sea breeze they’d missed.

Soon, Cubone came across a blueberry bush. Happy that she found something so soon, she bounds over in excitement and grabs a few twigs full of berries. She waddles off to her burrow to snack on the berries with delight, not caring if she gets the berries all over her face.

Noibat fluttered down near the shore of the lake, his ears perked up. He looked at the waters curiously, wondering where the Luxray went. He poked the water with his wing. He was unsure if he could even swim.

Luxray watched the Noibat approach the water slowly, and saw it gently dip it’s wing tip into the liquid. She examined it, and registered that it was indeed a low level. Extremely low in fact... was it even from around here?
“I wouldn’t recommend you getting your wings wet.” She said to the Noibat. Of course, to trainers nearby it just sounded like a bunch of growls or her repeating her species’s name, but to other Pokémon, it was completely understandable. “You probably won’t be able to fly for a while if you do. And judging by your level, you’ll need to have some sort of advantage.”

Noibat tilted his head. "My wings are waterproof, cos they aren't feathers or fur. I'll be fine!" He looked at the Luxray curiously, then glancing at the lake she was in. "Isn't water bad for electric pokemon? Or do I have it switched around..."

It did get a bit annoying being as well known as he was, but that was why his time on Mt Silver had been refreshing. To escape it all had been one of the greatest feelings, but Gold had reminded him how much he enjoyed a thrilling battle that day he arrived at the mountain's peak. It was no surprise that the boy who had beaten him had become a champion and held his position for so long. If he remembered correctly, Gold was one of the longer serving champions at the moment and it amazed him how he had managed to put up with the pressures for as long as he had. It really hadn't been such pressures that had driven him away in the first place. He more so had desired to find a quiet life under the radar where he could try and enjoy himself yet even after his disappearance he was still well remembered by many. "A helper of the professor? In a way I did the same for the professor of my own region. I did finish the Kanto dex for him. Even his grandson hadn't been able to do such," he mused. Maybe people knew of Blue as well given that he was not only Oak's grandson, but because he was a rather skilled trainer in his own right and traveled much to represent Kanto. Pushing the thought off, he noticed the ship had come to a stop even though the island was still a little ways away. It didn't appear that there was a port of such meaning they'd have to find a way to shore from here. "Looks like they don't have a way to get us to shore." He had Blastoise he could ride, but jumping from the ship seemed rather dangerous.

"This is your captain speaking. We cannot dock. The ship will have to stay here for the water gets too shallow for it to push forth. I'm sure you trainers will find some way to shore," the voice of the captain came over the intercom. It was just like Red had suspected, but out of the corner of his eye he noticed that Gold climbing to his feet as if he had some kind of plan.

Hearing the predicament they were faced with, the Johto champion gave a soft sigh. "I apologize for cutting this short, but it seems I have a job I must do," he told Erika before reaching for Typhlosion's pokeball. Given how many trainers were on deck, he knew his Pokemon wouldn't be able to stay out for the ride to shore. It would save them space nonetheless. Returning his starter, he attached the ball back to his bag before pulling another off and making his way over to the railing of the ship. Once he was at the edge, he gave the ball a click, allowing the legendary bird within it to emerge at the side of the ship. Letting out a caw, Ho-oh floated at the end of the ship before its trainer. Craning its neck down it nudged its head into the male's chest causing him to stumble back from the force albeit it chuckling in the process. Lifting a hand up to stroke the legends head, he gave a soft hum of amusement. "Now's not the time to play, buddy. We've got a job to do. Can you perch yourself on this railing so I can get trainers to board your back?"

With yet another caw, Ho-oh rose up before turning its back to its trainer and managing to perch onto the railing. It was a rather small perch for the large bird, but it would do for now. It wasn't like it would be sitting there for all too long. Heaving himself up onto the Pokemon's back, he turned to face the others that were around. "Hey everyone. If you don't know me, well the name's Gold, Johto's champion. My Ho-oh here can take us to sure. It is big enough to carry us all, but I ask you to put any large Pokemon away before boarding. We need to save as much space as possible and try not too put too much weight on it."

It didn't take long for a plan to be formulated after the captain had spoken. It was surprising that Gold of all people had thought of something so quickly. He had always been a reckless one who rarely ever had a plan yet here he was being the first to offer his Ho-oh as a ride. It certainly was a good idea given it was big enough to carry everyone present and even if it couldn't she was sure some of the others had Pokemon that could help carry some people to shore. Her Salamence could always be of some use if they needed it. Returning Luci to her pokeball, Caitlyn gestured for Riley to return to her shoulder so they could board the legendary Pokemon. The sooner they all got on, the sooner they could be on the island and able to explore. That sounded good to her. Making her way over to where Ho-oh was perched, the Hoenn champion climbed onto the massive bird's back and looked toward Gold with a small smirk upon her lips. "Always gotta show off, don't ya Goldie boy?" she teased. In return she earned a playful roll of the eyes from the Johto champion, but he didn't deny the fact. If there was one thing she was well aware of it was that he had an ego like no other. It was a bit unfitting for a champion, but given that he had been around for as long as he had been, she couldn't say he didn't deserve his position.

Her attention was immediately taken away from the other Alolan trainers when the voice of the captain came over the intercom. They would have to find there own way to shore. That seemed like a bit of a problem, but before she could even think of a solution, she noticed one of the trainers making his way to the edge of the boat and releasing a massive bird Pokemon. She recognized it as the Johto legendary bird, Ho-oh. Never before had she thought she would see such in person. Hearing the boy finally speak up, she listened to him carefully. He announced that he was the Johto champion. She should have guessed given the way he seemed to hold himself. Even from a distance it was obviously that he thought highly of himself. His plan however was a rather smart one. She would expect no less from one of the champions. "W-Well it looks like we're g-going to the island now," she said softly. She was eager to board the legendary bird that was awaiting them at the other end of the deck. Returning both Claira and Dusk, she stashed the balls back into her bag and looked toward the others she was with, giving both males a bright smile. "C-Come on. L-Let's go!" Bounding over to Gold and Ho-oh, the young girl was helped onto the back of the bird by the champion himself before taking a seat on its back.

Lucario rudely shoved Kif awake, pointing at the others, hoping Kif would understand what was going on. "Uhg.. wh- oh. We're here..? But we can't..." he sighed, looking at the shore. He suddenly realized Ho-Oh was there, and it seemed it would be carrying trainers back to shore. Kif turned to Suicune. "Better leave space for the others, since you can just take me there." Suicune dipped their head in agreement. Kif returned his other pokemon, and mounted Suicune. He waited patiently for the other trainers to mount Ho-Oh, so he could be sure nobody was left behind.

"Pokémon, return!" Lottie called. Five of them returned, but she kept Cupid out. "A Ho-Oh?" she asked in surprise. Cupid whirled around her head, chirping something. "Toge-Kiss! [I can fly too!]" Gracefully the Jubilee Pokémon perched on the deck, spreading her wings out. Lottie mounted the Pokémon happily. "Cupid. I think the Ho-Oh will get everyone to the island, but if not then return to the boat as soon as I am on the island and fly people over." Cupid nodded. Lottie petted her Togekiss. It nodded in reply. "Kiss! [Yes!]" "Thank you so much," Lottie whispered thankfully.

Ninetales ran once again, noticing the other direction type seemingly angry, or maybe it was just her nerves. A pitter-pattering of feet told her to run further. She paused for breath, a flash of fire coming out of her mouth as she did so. Recalling the feet she remembered that was the noise trainer's feet made. With her tails fanned out behind her, Ninetales continued along the forest, near a clearing with a cave mouth.
