It'd been a while and like a flower, their initial meeting was colorful and enjoyable yet very brief. So here they are, years later and it was all like something out a high school reunion. A much more awkward and gay high school reunion but a reunion none the less.
Perhaps they'll rekindle a long forgotten romance, or maybe just start a fire under their feet.

Okay, so Michael was not happy after his recent release from the hospital, sure it kept him alive but constantly being called "Melody" because he never legally changed his name was enough to seriously irritate him. He was fuming and thinking about this long enough that he forgot where the heck he was going and where he was currently. He looked around and with a huff, rolled his eyes then leaned against a wall to safely pull out his phone and figure out where exactly his home was from here. He wasn't sure how long he'd been walking after all. This didn't make him ease up any though, as after his... experinces on another planet he was more paranoid and anxious than after. All he wanted was to curl up on his couch with some peace and quiet and maybe a hot pocket.

Check yelled for his friend to follow, a massive smile on his face as the two of them ran through the side streets. They had just managed to get away with pranking a bar owner and the bouncer was not amused by their jest. Check's companion, a little fella called Chi by the gang, was hot on his heels. Though his legs were little compared to Check's, his stamina was impressive. He stuck his tongue out at the bouncer as the two of them escaped over a chainlink fence.

"Check, did you keep it?" Chi laughed as Check held up a shot glass shaped like a teacup. The two knew it was an inside joke at the bar and they considered it a victory to have nabbed it. Check snickered and pocketed the object, skidding to slow down and shake out his hair. His nose was red and he breathed hard from the combination of laughing and running.

Michael flinched and his attention immediately darted to the noises he heard, his hearing was terrible and yet it still managed to be incredibly loud to him. He snorted and looked at the two for a long while, picking apart one of the men's appearance until he finally noticed that one was close to wheezing. He shook his head and fluffed his hair before approaching to see if he was alright. Something seemed familiar almost but he couldn't place his finger on it.

"Give it," Chi reached for Check's pocket, but Check danced back out of the way.

"No, I nabbed it, I get to carry it."

"You'll break it, you jerk." Chi whined, playing the dramatic part and hoping to gather people's attention so Check would cave and give him the cup. "Your hands shake."

"Oh, that's a low blow." Check scoffed. "I'm not even holding it, it's in my pocket." He shoved Chi away from him as they walked down the street. He looked up and around, checking to see if Chi's acting had gathered attention. He looked forward last, but stopped in his tracks when he saw who was staring at them. He tilted his head, making a weird face as he thought. No, that can't be right... I would know if he was around here. He walked forward a few more paces, ignoring Chi's pestering altogether now.

Michael paused when he was now the one that was being approached. He had hoped he'd get his body to act sooner but apparently, his mind was still working to slow for that. He stepped back now, back against the wall and looked away. He hoped this would remove the attention from himself but with his staring it was probably too late. He sighed and quickly pulled out his phone, looking down at the map he pulled up. He shoved it into his pocket and stood straight now. Michael was unable to keep his eyes in one place either, his anxiety spiking and becoming extremely obvious to anyone and everyone.

"Are you giving me the silent treatment, Charles?" Chi mocked his friend with his full name, know that would get his attention.

"Shut up, I'm trying to think."

"Don't hurt yourself-"

"Hey," Check called out, partly to get the stranger's attention and partly to shut Chi up, "if you want a picture, just ask." He mused to the stranger, trying to break the ice. He wanted to get a better look at the man, but he seemed to be avoiding him. He smirked, tilting his head. Chi hung back, peering at the new guy curiously.

Michael cleared his throat and looked straight at check now. His own blond curls beginning to just barely obscure his vision, he swept the hair away from his eyes or... er... eye. and Then tilted his head slightly, "Yes?" he asked nervously, unsure what exactly Check meant by "wanting a picture" or if that was a joke because he had his phone out moments before. Either way, he now recognized him but said nothing, he was hardly memorable and didn't expect the other to recognize him.
