The near white hybrid cracked open an eye, as she shifted her head a little to her left. It hadn't been long since she closed her eyes to take a quick nap, while listening to the peaceful silence around her. Minus the occasional metallic footsteps, chirping of birds and buzzing of insects. When she heard the soft voice of her alpha speak up. Breaking the soothing silence that had nearly lulled her to sleep. Her head was turned in a way, so that her eye could be fully focused on the young female. Tired as she may be, she will always listen to whatever Evangline had to say. It was futile, both knew that, since there was no way for either of them to properly communicate. Considering that while Wraith could understand everything that Evangline said, she knew the human couldn't understand a single word she said in return. However, it was still a comfortable thing to do. Since it meant that they could enjoy one another's company, and get to understand one another better. Besides, her alpha seemed to understand most of what she wanted to tell her, just by simply doing simple gestures or with a tilt of her head. After all, body language was just as educational, as being able to speak with words. She then narrowed her pupil a tiny bit, as she tried her best to stay awake in order to hear the full conversation.
If she could look smug about what she heard, she would of. Instead she settled for a small, tired and amused smile. Well, the best a dinosaur of her kind could come close to a smile. She then once more let out a chuckle, as she moved her head slowly back onto her arms. The noise allowing those who could hear her, to have at least some idea to where she currently was. Many found it strange, whenever she would sleep in a spot that was close to Evangline. Mainly because Wraith had shown clear signs of being an independent hunter. Yet, she would sleep next to the young female any chance she got. Some believed it to be a security thing, since being near her alpha meant she felt safe. Considering on what happened to her as a hatchling. Others see it as a way of letting one lower their guard before striking. But in all honesty, to Wraith, it was out of her need to protect Evangline. Her raptor dna would always remain dominant in that area, especially when it came to pack hierarchy. However, it was also because the young human was also her only friend on the island. Therefore, making it highly important to make sure nothing ever happened to the small creature.
However, unknown to many, Wraith did hear the complaining. Something she in turn found annoying. Since if it made people so annoyed to be out here, helping in looking after her. Then why bother accepting the position in the first place. Just because she was a hybrid, didn't mean she was going to be very exciting. That wasn't the main point of creating both her and her sister. Well, it was, but Masrani made it evident that the parks assets were more than a number. Therefore, were meant to be treated as living things and given proper respect. Which was why he was one of her more preferred humans, next to Evangline and yes, even Owen. After all, even a flirtatious human has their more important strengths. But it also made her wish that her alpha could see, that she was far stronger than she painted herself to be. If the young human was strong and brave enough to be near a hybrid that can create nightmares. Then surely, she should be strong enough to be around others. However, she knew that it couldn't be helped, considering that she has sensed it many times before. As well as something that couldn't be rushed. She will just have to wait and see, and be there for the young human when things seem to feel like their falling apart. Just as she has done in the past.
