personality synopsis:

roo (a nickname reserved for only those who know him well) is an introverted
and fairly smart individual with a tendency to avoid conversations with people
that he feels are unlikely to engage in the types of dialogue (deep, thought provoking conversations)
that he seeks out among his peers. most people assume that he is pretentious due
to the fact that he tends to not pay attention during small talk and will completely
abandon a conversation if he feels that a matter of more intellectual importance
is occurring elsewhere. however, rufus is not pretentious in the slightest.
on the contrary, rufus often looks down upon himself due to his
strong inner critic, and consequently, is perfectly aware of these faults and is
actively making an effort to appreciate the less serious parts of life.
