She was still rather confused by everything that was happening. How she was a hero? She still did not understand. Why her of all people? Sure she was handy with a bow, but that was barely enough reason to consider her much of a hero. She had never liked the war to begin with and really hadn't had a huge part in it from the start. Most that knew her saw she was a pacifist at heart and wished to avoid fighting. Yet here she was before the demon king and anyone else that had been invited to this ceremony. She wasn't sure how to feel about it. Shifting uncomfortably as they came to a stop in the room, she looked around at the others. None of them were familiar face to her and the other heroes all appeared human, unlike her. Her pointed ears obviously put her apart from the others present. Even she wasn't entirely sure what she was, but it was certain that she was not a full human. That was the only thing she could tell by her appearance alone. Averting her eyes from the other heroes, they moved to look toward the king. For a man that she had thought started the war, he seemed pretty insistent on ending it now. That was yet another oddity to her, though she would not voice it. For now she stood in silence, having no interest in asking any questions to those that stood before her.

A human working for the demons. Now this was something he wouldn't believe. He may have not known his true origin, though he did suspect he might be of noble blood. Whether or not that was true was yet to be determined if it ever was. Nonetheless, he was still human as far as he was concerned and working for the opposing side seemed like more of a problem than a solution. How would human working for the demons make any sense in the war? Then again he was no tactician. He was only a mercenary or had been until he had been caught and recruited into the human knights. They saw potential in him. The job hadn't been half bad actually, but he only had gotten to enjoy it for a short period before he had been pulled away. If they ever saw that he was with the demons now they'd tag him as a traitor. That wasn't something he really wished. It wasn't as if this was his own doing to begin with. If he had a choice he would have continued as a mercenary and never gotten tied up in the war stuff. It could never work that way though. Resting a hand on the hilt of his sword, he let a soft sigh escape his lips.

Demigra continued to watch the ceremony. He was disgusted that these heroes were humans, but decided to let it slide, for now. He saw the girl with pointed ears. It was obvious to him she was not human, at least not fully. People with demonic blood, in his mind, were superior. He decided to wait the ceremony out before attempting to meet the heroes during their quest. He believed that while he was fully capable of making his way into the ceremony, he would be recognized either by the people who feared him, or the people who actually agreed with him, and while they may be allies, their excitement at seeing him might not be a good thing.

Isaiah's tailcoat dragged on the floor, following his long legs as he strolled through the hall. He had just been summoned and he seemed somewhat surprised. He had no idea he was chosen, but his powers proved so. He pulled out the gun that shot magic spells and his pocket knife. He had been equipped with these items since the second he was summoned. It was all a mystery to him but he brushed it off. He had a job to do and he vowed to himself that he would take it seriously. He came to a halt when the room with the heroes appeared before his dull grey eyes. He tucked his gun under his coat and looked at the man that seemed to be the king.

xxxxxxxxThis was when the heir was suppose to speak, he took a deep breath before taking a step forward.
At this moment he was playing the role of the next king, a dignified and graceful future leader. "It is how His Majesty says, the war has gone on long enough. We will no longer sit idly by why human knights attack our citizens, we now ask for you four chosen heroes to stand by us in hopes of ending this war amongst our people. We hope this war will end peacefully but if it must come to it we ask to take as little life as we possibly can. And now we ask you brave heroes to fight with us in hopes to end this war as quickly as possible with no casualties if possible." He said, though at the end of his speech he bowed his head to the others which earn hushed gasps of surprise from some of the attending citizens.

xxxxxxAs the character who had been sitting beside the main throne stood, Scarlett let her hand fall to her side, not wanting to let on her endless thoughts at the moment. Her eyes darted around at the others besides her, or as the king and the new figure had stated, "heroes", and tried to acknowledge of what ability or trait was common between them all. Of course again, that test was inconclusive and she shook her head, trying not to focus on her own thoughts, but of those of the ones watching her from afar. The members of this "court". The volume of the spoken words did not faze her, but the implied message of helping them win was another situation. She felt no need to be compelled towards assisting this group over another and so she stayed firm as she was, waiting for any reason why she was to help. Alignment on either side of this fight she had grown up knowing could end in chaos and death or peace, but which side would offer the correct balance. She knew full well of how easy it was to lie and was not about to take the direct words from the ones present as, she, herself, couldn't trust them immediately. Awaiting further explanation once more, Scar continued to wait patiently, with the firm belief in her mind that she would not give in to either side on such a meager claim as the one previously presented.

Isaiah's fingers fiddled around with the gun while listening to the speech. His eyes bore through other's while looking upon what he would consider "comrades." He had no idea he was going to work with others. He preferred to work alone but the fact of having backup was pretty good. He had to weigh out his options before the war comes to an end. His main intention was to work alone but it seemed that the king had other plans.

The words the prince spoke were less than convincing to him. Did he really think that a former human knight would really seek to go against them? Shaking his head, he straightened his posture before stepping ahead of the other heroes he stood alongside. If none of them planned on speaking, then he would do so. "Pardon my interruption, but what makes you believe that all of us are keen on assisting you?" he spoke up. His voice was rather elegant. Such an odd way for a former mercenary like himself to speak. "You are asking me to fight the ones that I was previously working with and expect me to simply except such? I believe we deserve an explanation on why exactly we have been chosen and why most of us are human and expected to fight against the humans." He could tell the one girl was not a full human, but the rest of them looked entirely human.

Dragorex looked at the hero who had just spoken. "I know a few mere words wont be enough to convince and that it will be hard to go against your own. But it was the humans who prolonged this war killing all of MY citizens just for who they are. Too many lives have been lost to this war including the life of someone i held dearest to my heart, which is why I will do anything to end this war even if it means forfeiting my own life." Dragorex clenched his fist. "Tell me this hero. Would you hesitate if it was the humans who had summoned you?"

Looking toward the king as he addressed him, Linken quirked a brow. He couldn't say that he had been in any human knight unit that had been ordered to attack citizens but there were plenty of units he had ever seen so he couldn't say the possibility wasn't there. Nonetheless the question he was posed was one that struck him as odd. "I believe you missed the part where I state I was already within the human ranks. A knight. I already was fighting for the opposing side," he replied calmly. He wasn't sure how those around him would react to him previously working as a knight given that it seemed that some of the knights weren't necessarily liked. "So let me direct a question to you, sir. Do you truly think taking one of the human knights and turning him against his former comrades will end this war or only escalate it more? I will be branded a traitor for agreeing to work with you. I would appreciate being given a real reason to fight for your cause if I must slay those I once called my own comrades." It was a logical concern to have for someone who had been on the opposing side already. As much as he hadn't wanted to be a knight, he still wanted a reason to go against those he worked with for a short period of time. He would be making the same case if he were being put up against his mercenary group.

xxxxxxxxThe heroes had a point, they were all mostly human and here they were in front of demons who were asking for their help; even Eelee would be hesitant to accept a human's offer. He breathed in deep before speaking again. "We understand it would be difficult to turn against your own kind, let alone ask you to fight against them. But if this war is not stopped soon it will drag both our kingdoms down with it. It's either we stop this war before it kills us all. Think of your families and loved ones, you wish to protect them right? That is what we wish for all our citizens and even those in the human countries; we wish to only stop this war as peacefully as possible." he stopped for a second before debating if he should inform the heroes of what deal they had formed with the current human king. No he shouldn't keep that a secret from them. "The human's king will only surrender if the four heroes and their companions collect certain objects for him, then and only then he is willing to sign a peace treaty. This is the best option we have, other options lead to multiple casualties on both sides."
