@amethyst, I really excited to get started on CaV!! I've got a couple of questions really quick, though c:

- Can I do something fantasy based? Like, can I have dragons in place of dogs?
- Can I have magic or magic lore? Nothing that could be viewed as cheating, of course!! I'd want there to be some sort of balance, like if x uses magic, 5 servings are used up (or something like that, I'm not sure if more would need to be given up).
- Also, I want to eventually grow my village into a kingdom. Can I actually do that? Or do I need to keep my village, well, a village?

@deimos, I'm still a novice when it comes to genetics, so I was wondering if you could essentially fact-check me? You don't have to of course c: Only if you want to and have the time to c:
Anyways, mom is short-haired, carrying long, solid black, carrying dilute/hiding mackerel, with high white spotting (grade 8 or 9): XoXo Ll BB Dd aa McMc tata ii WW
Dad is a long-haired silver ticked (hiding mackerel) cream (hiding black) tabby (carrying solid) with no white spotting: XOY ll BB dd Aa McMc TaTa II ww

The kittens would be 50% long-haired, 50% short-haired.
Toms would be 50% black, 50% grey. Mollies would be 50% tortoiseshell, 50% dilute tortoiseshell.
Kittens would have a 50% chance of being genetically solid and a 50% chance at being ticked. All tabby kittens would be silver.
All kittens would have 0 - 50% white spotting.

I think that's right, but I'm not too sure. Would this pairing produce silver torties? I thought they would, but again, I'm not too sure.

I believe that's correct. But I'm pretty sure other genes not mentioned play into silver(/gold) tabbies.

As for patched torbies, I'm a doof and am not sure what you mean, but I assume a patched torbie is a torbie where the colours don't blend together - they appear to be patches of colour. That, I believe, links to the amount of white spotting a cat has, the less white, the more the colours blend, the more white, the more they look like just regular patches.

But, don't quote me on this, I'm no expert.

@Chinchy, I'm still learning about genetics, so I was bound to miss a couple things xD I pretty much only know about silver (and even that knowledge is limited). I've never read up on gold.
Also, Patched tabbies, or torbies, are tortoiseshell cats where the black parts show tabby markings [x] c:

Ah. Then a patched tabby only needs the Agouti gene. The same way a black cat would. At least I think so.
