Guppy Adopts

What is a Guppy?
Found in temperate and tropical locations around the world, Guppies are a species of
reptile-like mammals. They have snake noses and semi-prehensile tails, meaning
they can gently grasp things with their tails, but not necessarily grab or be able
to support themselves hanging from them. On rare occasion, a Guppy will drop
its tail when threatened.

Hello peeps! <3 It's getting to the point of the weather changing and winter is here! I decided to make a warm Guppy this time <3. This Guppy is based off of an American Curl cat and orange soda.

Jax loved hanging out with his grandfather, listening to him reminisce about the "good old days". Most wouldn't like the dusty smell of old age and medicine that resided in the nursing home, but every time Jax was able to get away from his annoying brother, he snatched up the chance before it could get away. One of his favorite stories that his grandfather had dreamily told him was one of his childhood. It always started the same way: his grandfather walking down the street, before being tripped by a man advertising a brand of lemon drops. The frightening way the costume leered at him, the lifeless eyes had frightened him so badly that he ran all the way home, knees bloodied and the image of the man dressed as candy burned in his brain. It was a silly story, to be honest, but once he had grown up he had realized that lemon drops were a nice treat. When Jax's grandfather became ill, he left Jax a bag of lemon drops before he was moved to the hospital. Having never eaten lemon drops before, Jax grinned, and, fearing the worst for his grandfather,
he handed his grandfather a last lemon drop before he was whisked away.

Kodiak was never really a sweet-tooth -- he enjoyed eating sour and salty candies over anything else. It wasn’t until his crush at the time, Sunniva, decided to share some of her rock-candy with him. It was unlike anything he had ever seen before – crystallised sugar wrapped around a wooden skewer, resembling an amethyst crystal, purple in colour. He watched carefully as the sugar glistened in the sunlight, gently prodding at the sharp edges of the crystals. He couldn’t help but smile at her, thanking her enthusiastically as he nibbled the tip of the candy. It was harder than he expected it to be, the crystals scraped against his teeth, almost cracking one in the process.

Despite yelping in pain, he continued eating the sugary goodness that was rock-candy. Sunniva showed concern hearing his yelp, reassuring him that he didn’t have to continue eating it if he didn’t want to. He continued despite her warning, falling in love with the sugary taste of the solid candy.

Eventually, he did end up breaking a piece of his lower tooth from eating the candy. He really didn’t mind it though, and begged Sunniva for another piece. She quickly rejected him while dragging him to the nearest dentist to get that tooth of his fixed. It wasn’t a great experience, but he was happy to spend more time with his crush that day, even if it were at the dentists, getting a tooth pulled out and replaced.

From there on, Kodiak couldn’t help himself but eat more of it. It reminded him of her, and her sweet personality corresponded to the taste of the sugary candy. Despite all her warnings, he continued to eat. He didn’t mind if he lost a few teeth in the process. He could never find the courage to tell her, but maybe one day she’d realise his love for her through all the pieces of candy the two shared together.

She loves the way they melt in her mouth and a sweet treat afterwards! Her
grandma used to give them to her so she often times found herself with a
plethora of them, but she adored them all the more. Each sweet sucker was
a reminder of her Grandmother's love.

explanation: Jude's favourite candy is a brand of candy cigarettes called Just like dad! However, Jude swears he would never smoke a real cigarette, he just likes the refreshing orange taste that they have.
Due to everyone's assumption that he likes orange things based on his looks he has come to embrace it. He likes anything that relates to orange or oranges right down to the candy he enjoys. Another plus to Just like dad's (to Jude at least) is that at first glance they do look like real cigarettes, so he can't help but feel a little bit edgy when eating them.

explanation(450 word max): Jasper isn't really a fan of most candy, but his favorite has to be Mentos. He likes them less for the taste and more for the creative potential they have. Jasper has fond memories of building cool things likr rockets out of bottled soda and Mentos. He and his friends would often compete to see whose creation could fly the fastest or farthest. There may be yummier candies out there, but for Jasper, none of them are nearly as fun.

explanation(450 word max): Milo can't really choose a favorite because he has such a sweet tooth for all sweets. Though if he absolutely had to pick a favorite he would choose Sour Patch Kids. He doesn't like most sour candies but ever since he was little he has always loved them. Particularly the orange ones, he likes to suck on them until they aren't sour anymore before he eats them. He also thinks it's funny to see people's first reaction to them as they are much more sour than you'd expect.
