People mostly ruined the holidays for him. They always commented on how he looked like a "grinch" and how he will ruin their holiday season. Well, he didn't ruin their holiday, they ruined his. They also always commented on how he would come at night and "steal their presents." Well, he didn't want to do any of that. He loved the holiday season himself, but thanks to them, he slowly began to hate the holiday season more and more. He eventually just gave up on trying to spend Christmas happily.
This guy only now likes one thing about Christmas: The candy canes. His favorite Christmas sack. He never let anything ruin his favorite Christmas snack. Whoever "they" are, they just couldn't ruin candy canes for him.
