shiloh is a troublesome horse. when he was younger, he bucked a lot and was deemed hard-to-train, so nobody really
wanted to try and train him. he wasn't broken until four years old, and when he was, he went straight to a stable. he was
used as a jumping horse and despite his clumsiness, he won some awards for his jumping. he was happy for some time,
and even was used as a training horse. then, when he was six, he hurt his leg and couldn't jump for some time. the trainer
not wanting to deal with him, she sold him for a small amount of money to his new owner and now he lives with many other
creatures, even though he doesn't really talk much.

althea couldn't help but whimper as the human threw her in another crate which was a little bigger then what she had been captured in. she nervously sniffed the air, wondering if any dog heard her and stiffened as she caught a whiff of another dog. the female knew she showed a sign of weakness and if she was in the pack, any dog would find a moment to pounce but then she paused to remember that she would never see her beloved pack again. the thought was just unsettling and it made her feel sick was misery. the mudi began pacing in her kennel, not caring if her claws were scraping the ground. at that moment it hit her- she would try to escape no matter what because it was no more then a jail. she was meant to be a wild dog, always running and without being able to help herself she questioned out loud, "what is this terrible place?"

ombre sighed as he settled down on a rock, quickly balancing himself from wandering. it was bad enough being stuck but now he was also lonely. his white fur glistened under the sun, slipping through the bars and he found himself panting with exhaustion. earlier, he had watched another cheetah being brought in so the other one would have company. his paws were green with envy and he longed to be one of those quick cats but he knew it was a foolish thought. at least he would be protected from hunters and there would be plenty of food, but still.. there was a hallow spot in him which made him want to break the bars some how and leap away, as fast as the big spotted cats.

🌿Species and Description: The Spotted Harrier (Circus assimilis) is a sleek, medium-sized bird of prey hailing from Australia. They are grey-brown in color with bright, red-brown coloration on their faces and undersides and a black-and-white-barred tail. Spotted Harriers are so named for the distinct, white speckled covering their chests and bellies. The females tend to be substantially larger than the males. Spotted Harriers prefer to live in open grasslands or sparse woodlands and have a diet consisting of numerous small prey animals from native Australian marsupials to rats, lizards, insects, and even other birds if those birds are small enough. Odessa is fed a diet of frozen-thawed rats and the occasional scrap of other types of meat for the sake of variety. Spotted Harriers are a largely solitary species, but Odessa is a more social individual who enjoys companionship.
🌿Personality: With the distinct exception of electrical storms, Odessa is a really laid-back bird. She is content with life for the most part and prefers to avoid unnecessary dramatics. Odessa considers dreams of a different life to be impractical and a waste of time. The reality is that life is the way it is, not the way someone wishes it was. So, she prefers to focus on the positives and takes solace in those small, daily comforts that are so easily overlooked. Of course, she does have her own frustrations from time to time, but Odessa never takes those feelings very seriously and they always pass. The only thing that she ever gets very excited or determined about is flirting, which she makes a point to do on a regular basis. Her canine and equine pals are used to it by now, though Odessa does entertain the possibility that there might be some reciprocation-potential among them. For now, however, she enjoys their friendship as it is and that is enough for her.
🌿Likes and Dislikes: She likes cute girls, a good meal, and a pleasant day with lots of nice updrafts. Odessa is less fond of uptight animals, any sort of strong-smelling chemical, and males trying to flirt with her.
🌿Fears and Cures: Odessa's main fear is of lightning. Being a creature of the air, she is particularly worried about being struck by it and gets very worked up during a storm. After she confessed this fear to her friends, Langka, Althea, and Brandy started barking and whinnying during storms as a way of comforting Odessa and it has really helped her stay calm.

🌿Backstory: With her fearsome, raptor appearance and handsome coloration, it comes as no surprise that a member of her species would catch the attention of a collector like Mr. Z. Odessa was born in captivity as part of a zoo's breeding program. Unfortunately, this breeding program was far more successful than the zoo anticipated and they had a hard time finding homes for all the chicks. It was clearly against the zoo's policy to sell their animals, but when one of their young Spotted Harrier chicks mysteriously disappeared after they received a large, private donation, no one batted an eye. The zoo got the finances to update their great ape enclosures, and Mr. Z got his harrier. It was a win-win.
Odessa has little memory of anything other than her aviary in Mr. Z's menagerie. She is kept separate from the tropical birds due to her predatory nature, but she has never actually hunted anything in her entire life. Odessa is mainly content with her life of ease and luxury, save some frustrations about never quite having enough space to fly like she would prefer.
Her closest friends are some of the domestic animals that are sometimes lead out of their enclosures for exercise, and they exchange news back and forth when they are within shouting distance. Both dogs, Langka and Althea, as well as Brandy the mare, create Odessa's trio of favorite friends. Lately, she has been trying to think of some ways to be able to spend more time with them, but being trapped in separate enclosures makes that difficult.

🌿Personality Paragraph: meet angela an adventurous cub who's not scared to do things even if she's dangerous what got her into the terrible place. she's extremely stubborn and unlike most cubs, she prefers just to sit in the sun and chat. being raised in a strong family, she definitely knows how to fight and won't be afraid to get blood in her small claws. she prefers to be alone, because of her separation but can be a very good person to talk to and will just sit down and listen to your problems.

At a young age, angela's mother died from lion attack wounds and she was then raised by her father. he wasn't as sensitive as his mother and instead of nursing her at age three, he trained her to fight. eventually she grew old enough to find out what happened to her mother and began to become infuriated with lions. against her father's words, she tried to follow a lion but she was captured and brought some where. she is still cautious,

Odessa perched within her aviary, wings tucked smartly against her sides. Her powerful, hunter's talons gripped the wood beneath her, while her tail twitched to maintain balance each time she moved. At the moment, the only part of Odessa that moved very much was her head. She was most interested in the window that let her peer out into the grassy campus of this strange menagerie. At the moment, she saw little of interest, but she kept up hope that someone would soon appear for their daily walk and she could catch up on the latest gossip from other parts of the menagerie. At the very least, it was something to do while she waited for lunch to arrive. Lunch was always interesting.

🌿Backstory: She was born and raised in her pride, growing up mostly being the one who took care of the cubs while their mothers were out hunting. On the odd occasion she did go out hunting, she and the other lionesses often ended up wandering far from the dens- travelling miles to the watering hole where the prey was plentiful. It was on one of these hunting trips that her team were ambushed by poachers and whilst the others were managed to get away safely, she was captured and sold to Mr. Z as a 'trophy'.

due to his very unusal coat coloring, it is pretty much impossible for a lion like ambrus to be wild born. ambrus used to reside at a local zoo, where he was prized for his unusual coat coloring. he was apart of a science experiment that was studying the way an animal melanoma can be altered. melanistic animals are pretty much the opposite of albinism, however they tend to be more complex and vary in ways from albinism. his condition doesn’t harm in any way, as unlike albinism it generally just affects the melanoma of an animal rather than affecting other aspects such as eyesight. he tends to take it for advantage as a black mane is very attractive in lion language. he made his way to the land after the zoo had gone out of buisness due to a low profit income. he was requested by the owner to be shipped and taken to live there. he has been living here ever since, however the other animals have influenced his ideas on what the place is really about and he tends to debate the idea of escaping.

rudi was bred by a popular breeder in hungary. mudi’s are a hungarian dog breed, used for a variety of activities. in early days they were mostly used as work dogs, but these days they are well known sport and show dogs, due to their great agility and beautiful coat. mudi’s are quite rare, and it’s uncommon to see them around. they are generally quite high priced dogs. they come in a variety of colors which also makes them a very unique species of dog. rudi was sold to mr.z at a young age and made a long trip from hungary to make his way down here. he has lived here ever since and has a strange unsettling feeling about the place, he can’t exactly figure put what it is, but he does spend alot of time doing so.
