I'm having a hard time deciding how much older uncommons are worth in more recent commons and such.

the trade was unfair to you.
their side is worth a '15 uncommon + roughly a '16 uncommon.

two '12 uncommons, four '13 uncommons, eight '14 uncommons, 16 '15 uncommons, etc.

Unfair to them. The 2017 uncommons would be a fair trade, so the 2014 common isn't necessary.
