Very unlikely - keeping something like Lycanthropy secret from your (half?) brother would be very difficult, but maybe plausible. And as Blades tend to change their names and cut any family ties - since connected people would be easier targets than the Blades themselves - they wouldn't be close at any rate.
But maybe estranged siblings - one a Blade and the other a wolf - would be an interesting plot twist?

And yes, wolves can be bitten. It's rare, but there's one or two werewolves within the pack who were changed. (Jason, for example.) Having one fully human sibling getting bitten after the Blade first joined the military/cia/whatever would make sense?

Backstory: Malaya grew up in a small essential oil shop. Adopted at the age of 2, into a family of humans. Her brother, Peter hated werewolves, so Malaya tried her best to keep secret. Till one day, things got out of hand. It was normal of Peter to be mocking werewolves. But, threatening to rid of them all! That set Malaya off. With a quick flick, Mal was furry, red, and standing on-top of her screeching older brother. In the back, her mother witnessed it all. With stinging words, Malaya was driven out of home and out onto her own.

Personality: Despite her self-doubt, Malaya is a feisty one! She’s stubborn, snippy, and quite the jokester. She can be quite helpful and great when it comes to tracking (Been around a lot of scented stuff)! But, listening and combat are pretty low. She needs some practice.
Appearance: (Face claim is Kiki Deerhoof) Don’t judge a book by its cover! Her red wolf form may be kind of small, but this girl in human!! Is still short… 5’1 to be exact. Her hair is short and dark, and eyes are also dark brown.
