Veanti is a guppy who always seems lost. Distant, in a whole different world from those around her. Her mind is constantly invisible, if others are able to be read like a book-Venati is as closed as a brick wall. Her thoughts, her energies never seem permeable by those who don't know what to look for.
She was forever this way from youth, staring at the world with listless foggy eyes; dreaming... dreaming somewhere far away.

It could be said that Venati was forever cursed with bad luck, every step she took, every decision she made- or rather, let someone make for her, seemed to lead her to the path of suffering. And yet, she kept a silent stare, a solemn gaze upon the world just as she always had. Things changed around her, but in the face of trial she seemed wholly, unchanged.

It seemed almost through her youth, as if she was mute, so seldom that she spoke. It wasn't until her older years that she truly found her voice.

"Why am I gone from this world? Why is my mind so distant?" she asks

"Because I know that this world is but a step in the pathway. What we see, we see such a small part of it. We see the falsehood created by our minds. We cannot see existence as it is. But me? Me, I can see it. And it honestly, truly, terrifies me."

Venati is a calm guppy who spends most of her time meditating on life and her own thoughts. She comes across as eccentric when she speaks as most just think of her as the strange doom-sayer proclaiming absurd theories, people who can't see the logic in her words. That's not to say she's extremely intelligent, but she possesses a knack for understanding a realm many struggle to quite get a handle on- that is, the realm of deep philosophy, the existential questions that purvey deep inner thoughts. "Why are we here". "What is our purpose." "Are we really, real?" Venati wants to know the answers.

That isn't to say she is incapable of turning off these deep considerations, and she can even be okay company when she does. She tends to overwhelm those who speak to her with her constant rambling once she's started a topic she enjoys, and getting her to shut up is just as difficult as the urge to get her to start at times. Though she'd prefer to spend her time gathering reason and thorough logic, she does have general hobbies as well. She enjoys weaving baskets, that she brings with her on walks through her garden to gather flowers to fill her small home. The scents help her to think, they calm her occasional nerves and some make nice teas.

To sustain herself, she works at the local flower store, though she is often fussed at for falling asleep or completely zoning out in her mind and startling the customers who go by.



Though absorbed in her own thoughts, Venati does share a particular fascination with mages, as a tower nearby her home town is full of them. Using their magical abilities, they seek out the same answers she does. She dreams one day of being surrounded by vivid thinkers such as herself. Leaning on the shop counter, drifting into space in her own mental plane, she wonders if she'd fit in among them.

But life, destiny, has other plans for her...
And perhaps, the utter opposite of her plans.
