deimos wrote:@dascanadiansparkle - of course! which couples would you like me to do? :'0 (might be slow answering though, i'm finally updating my prefix list after what seems like forever lol)
Could you do Wolfpaw and Pumapaw maybe?
Could you also do Badgerleap and Mapleblossom as well as Sorrelstar and Leopardheart if you have the time?

@dascanadiansparkle - yeah of course! wolf/puma might be a little funky, this is the first time i've done a mink point cat haha.
actually like i always say i'm not a complete expert at cat genetics so take these with a grain of salt, i know there's a couple other ppl here who also know a bit abt cat genes, so feel free to point out if i made any mistakes! :'0
Wolfpaw - [shorthair seal mink point w/ low white spotting]
Pumapaw - [shorthair brown mackerel tabby bicolor]
- all kits will be shorthaired.
- all kits will be brown mackerel tabbies, but carry the point/mink gene from wolf.
- all kits will have white spotting, all likely having the same as puma and wolf??
- if puma carries colorpoint there's a small chance some kits will be regular seal points or possibly mink points.
Badgerleap - [shorthair black bicolor]
Mapleblossom - [shorthair brown mackerel tabby
- all kits will be shorthaired.
- all kits will be brown mackerel tabbies, but carry solid from badger.
- all kits will either have the same amount of white as badger or none at all like maple.
- if maple carries solid half the kits will be solid black like badger.
Sorrelstar - [shorthair brown mackerel torbie bicolor]
Leopardheart - [shorthair brown rosetted tabby]- all kits will be shorthaired.
- half the kits will have around the same amount of white as sorrel or none like leopard.
- toms can either be ginger or brown, mollies will either be brown or tortoiseshells - all kits will be tabbies, and concerning rosettes its really tricky to accurately predict what'll happen with those since they're a polygenetic trait - its p likely for them all to have a marbled look, which will eventually turn into a regular tabby pattern as generations go by. [got that from here, this blog's pretty neat by the way!]

hi deimos! if you have the time, could you possibly do these pairings?
willowfeather(mine) x sweetstar(swiftclan) x houndstar(mine)
(sweetstar is another possible father of willowfeather’s kits, but if a 3-cat pairing is too much then just willow and hound would work ^^)
aspengaze x sunsong
sootpaw x alpinenose
thanks! i’m just very interested to see what the kits would look like c:

Ooo lovely! Thank you!
Ah just also want to say that Wolfpaw is a longhair cat and Pumapaw is more of a black or dark gray cat for her base color :' )

@dascanadiansparkle - ah okay! let me just edit wolf/puma again, not only for that info but because there's some things i forgot lol
also there's still a chance of brown tabby babies here because black/seal, brown, and gray are all apart of the black color group, brown tabbies are genetically black. :'0
Wolfpaw - [longhair seal mink point w/ low white spotting (dilute carrier from thundercry who im guessin' is a gray point bc he looks that way in his FC??)]
Pumapaw - [shorthair gray mackerel tabby bicolor]
- all kits will be shorthaired, but are LH carriers from wolfpaw.
- all kits can be brown mackerel tabbies (carrying dilute) or gray mackerel tabbies, all carry the point/mink gene from wolf.
- all kits will have white spotting, either the same as puma or wolf.
- if puma carries colorpoint there's a small chance some kits will be lynx seal points or possibly lynx mink points.
@marya d. - i'm gonna do them separately to make it easier, but there's a chance for every kit mentioned here to be in her litter~
Willowfeather - [longhair blue somali / gray ticked tabby]
Houndstar - [longhair brown mackerel tabby]
- all kits will be longhaired.
- all kits will be brown ticked tabbies, but if willow carries only one copy of the ticked gene then there will be mackerel tabbies in the litter too.
- if houndstar carries dilute then there can be some gray kits in the litter too. :'0
Willowfeather - [longhair blue somali / gray ticked tabby]
Sweetstar - [shorthair solid gray bicolor]
- all kits will be shorthaired, but are LH carries from willow.
- all kits will be gray ticked tabbies, if willow carries solid some will be solid.
- some kittens will have around the same amount of white spotting as sweet, half will have none.
so i think there's a small possibility willow can pass off the kits completely as hers and hound's looking at all this?? :0

@deimos, If you're still able to, I'd love to see what Coyotestar (ruddy longhaired somali) and Pebblevine (blue shorthaired molly)'s kits would look like. I'm a novice when it comes to genetics, so I'm still not sure how to write down 'ruddy' when going through the process (since it's technically black, but there are red undertones or something like that). Thank you so much for help if you have the time!! c:

@grey_hoodie - i've always listed ruddy somalis as brown/black ticked tabbies haha, and aaah, i love working with black & black pairings. ;o;
also on the subject of abys/somalis i was so surprised when i first learned the ruddy coloration was meant to simply look red and not actually be that color omg.. cat colors are so neat
Coyotestar: [longhair ruddy somali / brown ticked tabby]
Pebblevine: [shorthair solid gray]
- all kits are shorthaired, carrying LH from coyote.
- all kits are brown ticked tabbies, but if coyote carries dilute, half will be gray.
- and if coyote carries solid some of the kits will be solid too. :'0

@deimos ; you're really good at genetics ahh!! <3 I love when people put thought into how potential babies between two characters will turn out to look
and it makes me excited thinking about my own cat ocs having kits when I obtain more than one ya know
I was trying to figure out what this "trial" thing going on is, but I couldn't really find anything explaining it. I figured I would ask here since you all would obviously know what "trial clans" are and what the poll on the main thread was for earlier? :0

@Lady,OK so basically CaC is looking for new moderators. So in the trial clans, every player participating, like me, Simonpet and Ame, get a clan that we do replies for. Then, people can vote for us. The person/people with the most votes is/are the next mod(s). Hope this answers your question!
