Clawed fingers twitched a tiny bit, as the near white hybrid waited for her alpha to give her permission. The twitch being the only sign of her impatience at the promise of fresh meat. Her muscles were once more tensed up, as if she was preparing to pounce on something and rip it apart. The signs of a hunter getting ready to chase down its prey. Her different dna making her even more impatient, as the instinct to hunt began to take over her mind. This is the main reason on why the park wouldn't let Evangline get any closer to Wraith. It was because she could easily mistake the humans as a possible snack, if there were problems with transporting her food into her enclosure. So far, there have been no signs of her taking an interest in becoming a man eater, unlike her sibling. Although, unknown to everyone, she has accidentally tasted human blood once before. Mainly because she once scratched her alpha by accident, due to not fully understanding on how sharp her claws could be. It wasn't a deep cut, since she was only a hatchling. But she still licked it as her way of apologizing. Compared to the food she gained on a daily basis, human blood tasted a little too stringy and fishy for her taste.
Upon seeing and hearing the signal to go, she immediately turned around to face the forest once more. Her walk breaking out into a slight trot, as she headed towards her usual feeding place. Letting out a low chittering sound, that sounded an awfully a lot like an actual chuckle. Upon hearing her alpha's words. However, the moment her left foot touched the treeline, she then paused. Glancing back in the direction of the smaller creature, as her hunger left her for a brief moment in time. As if checking to make sure that she will be fine on her own. Something she rarely did, depending on the mood her alpha was in. Due to her pack instincts, and the ones that told her of possible danger. She, along with everyone else, knew very well that she could easily take Evanglines position as alpha. Considering the height differences between the two. As well as the different strengths the two had. But much to everyone's surprise, Wraith showed no interest in the rank. As if she was happy enough without it. Although, her instincts told her otherwise, when it came to certain commands and whether or not the hybrid was in a good mood to listen. Right now, they were telling her that the young female was definitely holding something back from her.
But what it was, she didn't quite know. It hurt, in a slight way. Considering that the two have spent most of their time in one another's company, through both the good and bad times. But then again, she knew that sometimes you weren't meant to know everyone's little secrets. Which was why she never pushed, when she saw her alpha showing that faraway look on certain days. Just as how she never revealed to Evangline her camouflaging ability. Mainly because that was her last line of defence, but also because she didn't want to reveal the small other things that she could do. In case unwanted eyes caught her doing them, or if Evangline couldn't actually be fully trusted. She then let out a little bark like noise, before turning around once more and disappearing into the foliage. Her white tail tip being the last thing to be seen, as she disappeared into the mix of shadows and greenery. The thumps of her foot steps growing fainter, as she walked further and further away. Besides, she could always run back, if she sensed that her alpha truly was in danger.
