Sorry for such a low rating! Here's what I think:
I absolutely adore natural-colored characters, but not so much natural designs themselves. There's not really that much drawing your eye to the character. I would suggest maybe adding colors and changing the design a bit to give them something that makes them stand out.
Points for the species, though - I love deer (they're so elegant ah), and it's always refreshing to see a character that's not canine or feline (which is something I am very guilty of doing).
The whole eye-changing-colors-to-emotion thing is something I don't like. I've seen a lot of characters whose eyes change colors with their emotions, and it's really all not that sensible. I would suggest, if you keep the color-changing eyes, making the change less subtle (like a brown when neutral that gets a little more orange-y when happy/excited/anxious and more gray when angry/sad/tired).
Also, I'm not exactly sure about the tattoos. They're not very original tattoos, and I don't really like tattoos on animal characters, anyway. Maybe if you were to give meaning as to why she has them/what makes them important to her?
The last thing would be the mouth. I don't understand why she doesn't have a mouth. Is it something she was born with? Is it something that happened to her later in life? No matter the backstory of it, I still feel that it's unpractical. I don't think it's possible to be born without a mouth or remove it, especially without major scarred tissue.
These are just my thoughts and suggestions. <3
I have this rat kiddo named Darren.
design by hamkidSo what I have for him is that he's part of the Tale of Despereaux AU, and his parents were both exotic pet rats from some other country that had been brought to the kingdom to sell the offspring. They had a small litter of 7 kittens (the average for rats is 10-12), and most were sold. Darren was sold to a family who knew virtually nothing about taking care of a rat, and bought him because he was cute. They soon discovered that they had no clue what they were doing, and released him into the busy streets. Darren made his way into the dungeons of the castle, where the rats in the book and seen in the movie lived. He grew up with them, but was treated very poorly. This was because the rats in the dungeons didn't like his fancy coat; they thought that it made him think he was higher than them, and he was therefore "put in his place." His once-beautiful fur is now peppered with scars due to his abuse and time in their fighting ring-thing. He is blind in his right eye.
