Holy heck, I am in love! ;u;

I am torn on the store pets this month.

I like the cockatoo the most, I think it looks very adorable. The two raptors also look cool.
Buuuut I can't warm up to the kingfisher, it seems.
It's something about the head. With the other three, the shape of the actual birds' heads translates well onto the lion head.
But kingfishers have very long faces, and even with the frontal view on the pet, the head looks too round, broad and big for my tastes. It just looks kind of off anatomically, and if I grayscale the bunch of them, the kingfisher makes me think... jay maybe? Whereas I have no trouble recognizing what type of bird the others are.

On an artistic level they're all very pretty, I enjoy the colouring style on them. (Especially the cockatoo. Soft, pink friend.)


...And if there were more clothing options for lions (and the lines weren't so edited) I'd try to dress this one up as me tbh

To add on to this, yes the beak for the kingfisher is off a bit. I noticed this last night and it was bugging me too. The beak is shaped and angled fine but the point is off to the side a bit making it look likes its turned when it's not.

Also checking them out on my own computer and I'm still having trouble seeing them a bit. I think the lines are a bit too thin and light colored for me. I do like the coloring and line edits a lot though.

I'm always happy to see the cocoons getting a different color scheme from the generic green, even if it's just a color swap. super excited to see what these cool blue babies become!

It is always nice to see ones that are not green ;o I adopted 3 hours late XD so have to wait to see if I get them ;o

I believe the new store pets are based off a Long Crested Eagle, a Lammergeier, a Blue Kingfisher and a Major Mitchell Cockatoo. Correct me if i'm wrong.

i figured it was gonna happen but i'm still gonna say i'm happy the bow is making a comeback!! i love both parents of the growths but that bow litter that chia made in 2011 was what made her one of my favourite artists haha sad she retired but it's cool she's still making pets occasionally like this month's gryphons!
