Once the group catches scent of the deer, they all look to each other to make sure they are on the same page then hurry to follow the scent. It was fresh, meaning they were close already so they had to make sure they didn’t lose this. When they got closer to the location the deer was, the slowed down and crouched low to the ground. Due to Galicna’s white fur, she stayed further back than Mau and Grey as to not alarm the deer. It was a herd of deer, and they were excited to see it since they still needed food to survive the season. They crept closer to the deer, Mau splitting one way and Grey the other while Galicna stayed straight. When they were all ready, they all launched at a deer and took hold of the neck fast. The herd, startled ran for their lives in the event that there were more wolves while the deer caught in the wolves’ grasp tried desperately to flee with their families. Claws ripping into flesh and jaws locked, the wolves prayed they would catch these poor unfortunate souls.

The trio drags the deer back to camp and place then in the pile with smiles on their faces. They all thanked the spirits of the animals as they set them down and then looked to one another, deciding on doing a patrol on the West boarder since they usually don’t go down that far. They all went to the lake and lapped some water before moving to the woods away from camp, hoping this long journey through the trees wouldn’t be for nothing. The days were getting colder, and they all knew it was almost time to head up to the mountains for the winter. But they hoped to grow numbers before then due to how cold it gets up there and how scarce food is.
